Can't remember category but Ocean suite on Deck 7 near elevators and Buffet. We didn't use half of storage on 3 day cruise.Chose to just have morning service which worked out fine.Large balcony with 3 chairs and 2 small tables.Air worked great. No hot water in tub and was fixed right away. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was suppose to be for my mom to accommodate for wheelchair. Lifted seat on toilet this was never there. It was decorated like I paid for but no cake was left in the room. Read entire member review >>
Spacious enough for 2 of us and our luggage. Plenty of storage for our belongings and for our luggage when not using it.
Cabin stewards were very nice. Always friendly and helpful.
I would book this stateroom again. :) Read entire member review >>
clean but steward never around mini fridge didn't get as cold as it should have been. Also on a different cruise line that I have been on we had small snacks sodas and bottled water in our room at all times no extra charge. non alcohol drinks had no charge either. Read entire member review >>
We had room #7334, on empress deck and close to the elevators/stair....big mistake. Too close because I heard children running around the stairs/elevators and cabin is right across hallway from the janitors closet and other utility rooms which is constantly being used by house cleaning. Stay away from the elevators and stairs, but level is perfect from noise from the pool deck 2 deck above and club/casino 2 deck below because the empress is sandwiched with another cabin deck above and below. Cabin was dirty upon arrival to it. The steward was in friendly most of the time. Housekeeping was friendly and came in to clean as needed. Windows were filthy. Door to cabinet were fridge was , was coming off the hodge entire trip and never fixed, the fridge was sitting on a 2x4. Read entire member review >>
Great room!!! Convienent to elevators, quiet, clean. Benny our room steward was on top of things...always with a smile. Plenty of room for all our stuff. Loved the citrus smelling bath gel. Highly recommend this room and the area it was in. Read entire member review >>
Our room was in a great location. We paid to reserve a room when we booked because I have suffered from sea sickness and I wanted to ensure we were mid-ship and away from any common areas. The room was always kept tidy and our steward provided excellent service. We brought anti-bacterial wipes and wiped down the room upon arriving. This was great advice given to us by long time cruisers. While the room did appear to be clean when we arrived the dirt that was on each wipe told a very different story. As an aside, I wish that someone had actually told us that you have to hang the 'Cruisin' thing on your door each day when you leave to get service in your room. We were first time cruisers and frankly I didn't find it that obvious that you have to do that just to get your bed made and get fresh towels. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was kept clean and comfortable but it hasn't been update in any recent refit. The lamp shades in the cabin were worn and stained. The housekeeping team on this trip were efficient and friendly. The bed was comfy, the bathroom a reasonable size and so was the balcony. Location was only a couple of decks below the buffet area so easy to access the food! We had cabins above and below so noise level was very low and elevators were just down the hall. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was very large and bathroom the best arraigned and largest we've encountered during six cruises. The room was cool during the day but was never cool enough at night to allow for comfortable sleeping under the thick comforters. I tried only using the sheets but I'm used to some type of coverlet, so that didn't work. The carpet and sofa were very stained and should be replaced. The decor was drab. That being said, I'd rather have large and comfortable as opposed to new and tiny. Read entire member review >>
Balcony 8th floor. We really like that area but i might choose that same area on deck 7 next time. We could hear the crew setting up the lido deck very early. Also one of the ceiling panels were squeaky but once we found it and hit it a few times it stopped! We liked being able to go a few cabins down, go up one flight and be on the lido deck. The room size was very adequate, a bit dated, but well appointed, and great storage space. Definitely enjoyed the balcony. The location was good because you could walk up or down the stairs to get to most places. Enjoyed the amount of closet space available for storing everything. The room was also rather quiet. 7356- great double room. Empress deck, mid-ship with cabins both above and below. There are double rooms on both sides so it did make for a quiet balcony neighbors as they were not family cabins. Directly across from our room was a Crew door which we never heard and only saw used once for a room service delivery. We were far enough away from the elevators for low foot traffic but located to where we could use either the back of mid-elevators without much effort.
I would select this cabin # again both for convenience and a quiet location. Read entire member review >>
Great location on the lido deck forward..easy to get to the sun deck and buffets..was very quiet..was a bit worried about the noise coming from the lido deck but didn't hear anything..good closet space. Read entire member review >>
our category 8c cabin was good. Room was ready after embarkation. It was published as a 'jr suite' it was no larger than the 8c balcony we had on Royal. For a jr suite I was expecting more. Good space on the desk for writing-lots of shelf storage. For a jr suite items in refrigerator should be free Great bathroom dressing area with large lighted mirror and closet with shelves. Bathroom had a jetted tub which we never could get to work. The shower head was strange to work..bath products were good. Beds were comfortable-linens good-three closets. The balcony was a good size-family had room next to use so our room steward open partition so we had one long balcony. Otherwise it was a nice room. Read entire member review >>
7393 noisy, vibrated too much-defect in ceiling has to be addressed by the cruise lineNice balcony-do not recommend this room'Difficult to sleep because of all of the knocking noises Read entire member review >>
We had a balcony cabin, 8360, it was very nice. There are very few electrical outlets which is only a problem if you need to charge multiple phone, cameras and have curling irons, etc. to plug in. There is plenty of storage. The balcony was decent size. The only downside to the balcony was that we were on deck 8 and the lido deck was above us. The lido deck covered out balcony so sitting in the sun was not possible. Read entire member review >>
6450 is in the back of the boat (sorry, don't know difference between port and starboard). It is parallel with the hallway (while all other cabins are perpendicular). This creates a double balcony. If you want to trade a sofa for a larger balcony without paying extra, this is a very good cabin. One floor down to Promenade deck. 3 floors up to Lido. So, its a good cabin to avoid elevators. I'd get this cabin again. Read entire member review >>
Generally enjoyed cabin with Balcony. Room had sufficient closet space and was similar to all 8 category rooms we have had.
Drawers were hard to pull out and push back in.
Bed spreads are getting worn. Read entire member review >>
Balcony Cabin 7348: There were some minor issues with the cabin. The ceiling kept rattling in 3 different areas. On first night, someone was sent to fix it. They hammered small wooden blocks between the light fixture. This held until morning. The second day, it was back. Someone else was sent to fix the problem, and they said the ceiling panels were misaligned and that was causing the problem. He fixed it, and this held for two days. Then, another area of the ceiling started to rattle, near the cabin door. To this they said they could do nothing. He tried, but couldnt stop it. After the trip from St. Thomas to San Juan, this never returned. On the final sea day, the initial area of the ceiling started rattling again, but it lasted for just a short time and quit.
Beware of this cabin! Read entire member review >>
Our Cabin was 8244 on Verandah deck forward of the atrium elevators. Nice and quiet. This cabin is about 12 back from the bridge and no you don't really feel the pitching of the ship, like I'm sure some would think. There were cabins across the hall. Great location Read entire member review >>
8248--Good location with plenty of space in the room. Nice bathroom. Close to elevator. One deck below the pool and buffet. Safe in the room. Shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom (no hair conditioner.) Clean room. Nice size balcony. Able to take nice pictures from the balcony at every port. Read entire member review >>
I am always amazed by the small size of the shower. The cabin location was relatively close to the stairs (and elevators if you choose to use them). Being on deck 7, meant we didn't hear much of the noise from the lido deck almost directly above us. The only downfall, wasn't the cabin itself, but our neighbours who were smokers. There was plenty of cupboard space, my sister had a closet and drawers, and so did I. The beds were so comfy - I wanted to bring mine home with me. There is only one outlet in the main cabin, and none in the bathroom. Read entire member review >>
Great balcony, stateroom was very clean but tight-ish with king-size bed and fold-down bunkbeds....would like to upgrade next time to suite if the price is right. A couple of days before we left NY, our Carnival rep called and offered an upgrade to a suite which was supposedly $2200 but he could offer it for $1400, but we skipped the offer figuring we could better spend that extra money for other things...mite consider it next time... 8258 8th floor - Near the elevators. Was pretty quiet, although near the elevators. There was lots of storage space. 2 big closets and a big closets with shelves. There is also space for clothes under the couch(2 drawers). There are also smaller drawers in a desk type thing...that was good for underwear etc. The hair dryer was connected through the wall, but stays in the desk drawer. You can stretch it to the bathroom if you like. Above the desk was a huge mirror where you can do make up, dry hair etc. A little safe is good for putting passports etc. it is locked by using your personal credit card. A TV that swivels. A small 'cooler' this is not a fridge...suggestion...but ice in it if you want to keep things cool. It is stocked with pop and liquor...but it is costly. A few under shelves and more closed in shelves..and 2 little night stands that you can put things in. Lots of storage space. We had a balcony cabin which was nice. Every few days it gets sanitized-wood and all, just like around the pool. Except the pool floors, steps, etc gets sanitized every evening. Overall, I loved my room. Read entire member review >>
