Oceanview stateroom with a private balcony and twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.
The cabin was par for Carnival Cruiseline (extended aft balcony cabin). Drainage for the sinks and showers were below par. took forever to drain. Was told by maintenance they were working on the issues. Some cabins had no hot water, some cabins had no water at all due to busted water pipes in their cabins. Read entire member review >>
The room appeared to be identical to a typical balcony room in size and amenities. The actual balcony was deeper and a bit wider though, which allowed space for a lounger, two chairs, and small side table. This was our first time at the very back of the ship. I must say it was quieter due to the lower volume of foot traffic and happened to be just a few floors up from our assigned dining room, which was nice. The first night we did feel more movement than we experienced in rooms we had stayed in at mid-ship, but after that all was well. I would say it was worth the small upgrade price to have a quieter area than a standard balcony room. Read entire member review >>
Very clean, no odd smells, very quiet. Aft extended balcony was a treat, but we didn't use it nearly as much as anticipated. Weather was very hot and humid and with no sea days we never felt that ocean breeze except at night. Also people that were smoking around us put a damper on things. We did complain to security, but I see no good way to enforce the anti smoking policy. This may keep us from spending the $ on a balcony in the future. We did enjoy it a few early mornings and a couple late nights for a few minutes at a time. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was small but had enough space for our items. The furniture and bedding were worn and dated. It needs to be updated. The room itself which had a wonderful view and nice balcony was just over one the night clubs so it was loud and sleeping was restless and fitful until at least 1 am when they shut the music off. We didn't sleep well at all because of that noise. I brought Clorox wipes on board and when we got to the room it was ready so I wiped everything down and the bathrooms were not cleaned well. I found hair in the showers and on sink that was not ours. I wiped everything down and I am glad I did. I don't think they do a very good job of cleaning the rooms between people at all. Also along with the 21 plus group they seem to like to throw food and what not overboard and a lot of that ended up on my balcony in which I cleaned up including food. Just wasn't happy with the unruly kids and just adult drunk people on board. It was not relaxing at all. I won't be traveling Carnival cruise again Read entire member review >>
A beautiful calming experience watching the wake. Balcony included a chaise lounger and 2 chairs with a small table. Cabin design did not allow for a sofa. AC was always plentiful day and night. A bit more walking but only 2 floors up to Lido and 3 down to Silver Dining Room. Perhaps a little more vibration evident aft but not concerning at any time. Our next cruise is also an aft balcony - RCL Adventure. Read entire member review >>
Love AFT cabins the larger balconies are nice . I smoke and new policies forbid smoking on balconies. I will seek another cruise line that allows me to smoke on my balconies. Read entire member review >>
Carnival Liberty cabin 6442 was perfect. It was an extended balcony aft-view and worth the extra money. Beautiful balcony. The room was perfect for 2 people. Bigger than I expected on a cruise ship. Thumbs up. Read entire member review >>
Unfortunately 7447 smelt strongly of smoke when we first boarded. It took about 4 days before we got the smell out and that was by having our deck door open to air the room. Front door didn't close so we had to make sure we gave it an extra pull on leaving. Fridge had to be replaced on the second leg of our cruise. Never worked on first leg so we relied on the ice bucket which was always kept full of ice. Neighbours deck door constantly slammed making a dreadful loud noise. Be nice to have some sort of self closing door that shuts without the bang. Crews cupboard was two away and could be a bit noisy when they are ready to start their day's work but crew were very good.Cabin 7447 was a lot smaller than the side balcony cabins which we have used in the past so it was a bit disappointing to have a larger deck and a lot smaller room. Had we have been aware we'd have opted for the side again not Aft. Although the deck was slightly larger it certainly is not as large as it looks on the deck plans. Also had a lot of cigarette butts falling onto our deck from somewhere above so unable to dry clothing outside. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 6458 - We had an aft cabin with a balcony that was large - a great balcony with a unique view. We were over the Victoria Lounge. Most nights there was something going on we could hear. Sometimes we could even hear it in the hallway before we got to our cabin. We were able to get to sleep, anyway, but light sleepers or people who return to their cabin early at night might not want this cabin. Read entire member review >>
I have been on three cruises, this one was my second. I have never had a problem with space on any of the ships that I have sailed on. I have been in ocean view (Carnival Victory - February 2006) (there were three women on that one) and the amount of space was incredible. My other two were balconies, one was the back of the ship (Carnival Conquest - January 2010) and Carnival Valor was a side balcony -- all of them had ample closet and drawer space. Our room was at the back, middle part of the ship. The room was tight. Entry area claustrophobic and dark. The door pulls entend out and take up the valuable space. These hard knobs caused injury. I removed them. Our room was across from the crew storage area which could be noisy. Balcony was fine with two chairs and one lounger. The air conditioning cover rattled constantly and could only be silented by pushing it. Read entire member review >>
1001- 4J handicapped cabin - door opens by itself on entering card key - roomy and fairly quiet - weights dropping on ceiling occasionally made a loud clunk
6454 - Aft balcony room - very quiet, nice view aft, roomy and good storage - the bathroom flooded easily, but that may have been due to the rough seas - little room between closet/bathroom - couldn't walk through if any door was opened, but the rest of the cabin was fantastic - very roomy balcony.
