I knew this was going to be an older ship, so I didn't expect a whole lot. I loved that it was not packed with guests because it only holds about 2300 guests. The decor was definitely dated and the food left a lot to be desired. The excursions however were fantastic. We booked an excursion for every port except Grand Cayman. The refrigerator in the state room did not cool the drinks enough ...
My wife and I have cruised extensively on many cruise lines, and we recently sailed on a 7 day Carnival Legend cruise to the Western Caribbean. While we were not WOWed by the experience, there were several interesting highlights. EMBARKATION: was smooth and one of the quickest we have ever experienced. CABIN: We had an aft-facing balcony cabin on the 7th floor. We found the cabin to be a bit ...
We chose this cruise because we live in central Florida and prefer to drive to the port. Tampa is about 1.5 hour drive for us. We are early 60's and this time our daughter and granddaughter joined us for our 7 day Western itinerary.
We arrived in Tampa around 11:30 and parked the car in one of many parking lots along the main road across from the pier. Pricing varies at these lots so do some ...
This cruise was chosen for a group traveling together by an agent. The ship was old and in disrepair and had several items not working one of which was the water which flowed dark brown in the middle of the cruise. The hot tub never worked nor the sliding cover over pool, we had a couple days of rain, and they allowed smoking by the pool side I've never seen that before. We didn't have a ...
We recently cruised on the Legend. While we took some fun excursions, overall it was a mediocre experience.
We picked this trip, as it is close to our birthdays and anniversary, and because we wanted to see some of the ruins in Belize.
Our overall impression was that the crew of the Legend do not seem very happy. I can’t remember a cruise where so few of the crew spoke to us, and even ...
We were with a group of 17 couples who met from across the country and cruised together for a week. This was our first experience with Carnival, but we have cruised twice before. We stayed in a Grand Suite and found the accommodations spacious and lovely. Incredible amount of efficient storage. Bathroom was lovely, spacious, including double sinks, a jacuzzi tub and bidet. Service from our ...
We have been on 20 or more cruises with several different cruise lines. I would not recommend this ship to anyone unless you have never been on any ship and have nothing to compare it to. Ship is old and outdated and in much need of repair and upgrading. Food is mediocre at best in MDR. Service in MDR is very good. One of the very few highlights of our trip. On the other hand, the buffet is ...
I am sorry to make such an extreme rating, just to convey my point.
I am hoping that carnival will consider removing nude female artwork from elevators and corridors. I have been on multiple carnival cruises and I love Carnival, but this time I was surprised to see such explicit imagery everywhere.
As usual, Staff, Food, Pool, Water works, Green thunder, Housekeeping were all amazing.
I ...
We booked this cruise for our family of 4 because we’ve done the same Pitts before and they were each a great experience. The rates for a balcony cabin this week were surpassingly low. Embarkation was smooth as it always is with Carnival. We used park4cruise.com which was the best priced, no issues. We got to our room 6227, by 1:30 and were very pleased with the amount of storage. I wish they ...
We booked the cruise because of the home port, the ports of call and the dates just lined up perfectly with our child's school break. We overall were satisfied we had the vacation and we were happy we went on vacation, but...
The ship was definitely subpar. It showed signs of aging everywhere. We had a leak in our room and with it being Thanksgiving week there were no free cabins elsewhere on ...
