Oceanview stateroom with twin beds that convert to king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our SuperLiners all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.
Oceanview cabin on Starboard side. Room steward was fantastic, and these rooms are in a great location for shore excursions and evening entertainment. Didn't feel the need for a balcony is such a cold climate, which is just as well, since it was raining quite a bit of the time anyway. Read entire member review >>
Great! Artha, our housekeeper kept everything perfect! He knew everyone on our hall by our names. He always had suggestions for things to do. The Cabin was great and had a HUGE bathroom for a cruise ship. Read entire member review >>
If I cruised this ship again, this cabin was convenient to Punchliners Comedy Club (it was only a few cabins away and No noise from that) We were below the Fred frog pub and the only noise we heard was the chairs scraping across the floor but I could sleep thru that, but I could hear the tenders creaking above our room, that kept me awake. but if I had to, I would stay in this cabin again. Nice cabin, More space for clothes etc. than some. Not much foot traffic, nice and quiet, handy to the lifts to the Unicorn Café. And straight along the corridor to the Firebird lounge for various events. Read entire member review >>
Great bed and hand held shower head is perfect. Cabin steward Doroteo was fantastic. Though the deck plan shows this cabin being next to the Medusa's Lair night club, there was absolutely no noise at night to disturb us. Read entire member review >>
I chose this category (1st floor, outside window) because when you return from shore excursions, you can easily walk up one flight of stairs to your cabin instead of waiting for an elevator. This usually works very well for us. On this cruise, we were traveling quite a distance and were traveling 22 knots/hour through some rough seas. Occasionally, we would hear a loud crashing noise, like a metal pipe being dropped. It was a large wave hitting against the side of the ship. It woke us up a few nights. In this case, a room on a higher level may have been the better choice. Another thing to be aware of: Right above this floor is the theater, casino, lobby, etc...so there is quite a bit of foot traffic right above you, expecially on the starboard (right) side. Cabin #1117 was extremely quiet; we didn't hear a peep from anyone. It was an ocean view and was most enjoyable. It was on the lowest deck and very quiet since there were no entertainment venues around. We were surrounded by cabins - below us and above. Read entire member review >>
The stateroom itself was quite spacious considering there were 3 adult sized people in it. Our bed was 2 twins pushed together but we had no issues. Our son had a drop-down bunk which was very sturdy and in his opinion very comfy. There was also a sofa bed. The bathroom was roomy and bright with a good shower and plenty of hot water. Having bathrobes was a lovely bonus. Service from our attendant Kade was excellent!!!The only issue we had was we were directly underneath the Satchmo Lounge. On some nights when we retired early, loud music could be heard coming from the lounge until midnight. One night in particular was the night before we arrived in St Petersburg. Not only did we have to be at our meeting point at 7am, the clocks also went forward losing us one hour's sleep. The late music was therefore not really appreciated! Read entire member review >>
cabin had wonderful review and was very clean , BUT it sounded like a herd of elephants was dancing above us and after days of complaining guest services offered us a downgraded room , wow really we paid extra money for a ocean view !! Read entire member review >>
Noisy on port days, plumbing days, every day. Seriously, we had a wake up call every morning between 3:30 and 5 each day of one sort or another. We were midship Riviera deck with Oceanview and while the room itself was fine and roomy with all you needed, it was LOUD every early morning. Read entire member review >>
Our only real "complaint" would be our cabin. We paid an upgrade charge to go from a deck 6 interior cabin to a deck 1 cabin with a window. Having the window was GREAT! However, we inherited a cabin with bad AC. After several calls to guest services, various technicians pulling apart things in our room, the cabin temperature never got below 76, which Carnival says is in their "normal range." Even though we were still very uncomfortable and our cabin was "damp" most of the time, guest services didn't try to accommodate us in any way, which was very disappointing. Our cabin steward did an okay job, nothing impressive. Not the same service they enjoyed on deck 5, 6, 7, etc., where the rest of our family was located. Even though we were close to the lounge/area for shows, noise was never a problem. Closet space was not enough for 2 adults, 2 kids. Of course we also brought snacks, snorkel gear, etc. Window was GREAT to have! Read entire member review >>
We were on the Riviera deck which is deck 1. WE enjoyed being on that deck. It was close to everything.I'm just glad we were not on the other side of the ship cause my friend was there and the people across form them were very loud and kept them up all night on a few occasions.
The bathroom was a good size and so were the showers. Pleasantly surprised! Read entire member review >>
we had a balcony, which made it nice in the morning when we pulled into port. with the family still asleep I was able to sit out there and get a look at the port and the other ships. I suggest ordering room service the night before if you want a to get out to the port early. Theroom was ok for my husband, myself and our two girls (19 & 23) we joke with our daughter when she felt we were to close, that she goes to her room! The upper berth. The beds are wonderful! They were so comfortable I loved sleeping in them, the down comforters were light enough as long as the air was on. only heard doors banging when we hit port Read entire member review >>
