Clean, well-appointed and nicely laid out. The lower bed is tucked against the wall and corner, the bunk above it but lying in the opposite direction. This leaves room below the bed for storage. There is a nice small desk. The shower is great and big enough, with the shampoo and shower gel dispensers attached to the wall. There is an A/C unit that allows the cabin to be kept plenty cool, as it can get extremely stuffy. Keep in mind it also will get pitch black in the cabin at night, so, keeping the bathroom light on can help. The TV remote was a bit of a pain and probably needed a battery change. Read Less

The room was clean, but the decor was really hideous. There was no hot water in the shower so I shivered in the barely room temperature water, with every shower I took. Plus, the bathroom smelled like raw sewage and the water in the bathroom had a funky smell. There was no hair dryer in the room, so I had to call housekeeping to get one. Our assigned housekeeper was very helpful and offered the best service out of any crew member, despite the fact that we declined to have him do a daily service as we were only on a 3 day cruise. There was no mini-fridge, so we did not get to enjoy the bottle of white wine we brought as there was no way to keep it chilled. The closet had a luggage rack, but it was so small, that no standard sized suitcase could fit horizontally on it. Read Less

We booked this at the very last minute and decided to take the least expensive cabins we could find. The first and third cruises were in R64 Cat. 1A upper/lower cabin. We had never been in a cabin with single bunk beds before and thought it would be fun see what it was like. The pros were the location of the cabin (midship and in a hallway we hardly every saw anyone in) and the extra floor space in the room (the room was 144 sqft.) The cons were climbing up and down the ladder to get in and out of bed. My husband said the bed was very comfortable. For the middle cruise we were in R4, a porthole cabin with a king size bed, This cabin (due to it's location at the front of the ship) is bigger than the standard inside and oceanview cabins that we have stayed in before. Inadequate, virtually non-existent storage space in the bathroom. One tiny & very shallow shelf above the sink. No shelves below the sink. Pack a hanging bathroom organizer! We made full use of the clear shoe hanger, but that was hung on the cabin side of the bathroom door. Could have used a smaller one for inside the bathroom, definitely. 1 closet to hang clothes in, one with shelves for folded clothes, and there is the windowsill where the fake window is. It's handy for placing your alarm clock, etc. There is an additional closet less than a foot wide that you can stick a few coats/jackets in, or the bath robes. This cabin is ideal for 1 person, for 2 people on a back to back it's challenging for storage space. Read Less
