Cabin U207

I read a previous post about hearing crew on nearby stairs in this room. I only heard steps once (last night) and to me it was obviously the crew was deliberately trying to avoid the steps to not make noise. I did hear loud noises while docking for about 45 minutes to an hour (estimate -- when you're awaken from a dead sleep, your time estimates may be warped). DH thinks it’s from the ropes they pull out when docking. I’d recommend wearing earplugs or keeping them right next to the bed so you don’t have to get up to find them. I didn’t do that and just suffered through the noise. If you’re an early riser, you’ll never hear it. Temperature control was a challenge. It was hot without the vent open (took us a day to find it -- look above the bed) and cold with it open. Pick your poison and plan accordingly. Outside of that the cabin was fine -- a little bit of a challenge to get around with two pull down beds but that more about me not wanting to buy FTTF for two cabins so I'm blaming myself. If you want ease free access around the room with 4 people, pay for two cabins. Considering the cost, one cabin worked fine for us even with my slobby daughter!

The cabin was small but it worked for me and my wife. We spent most of our time exploring the ship anyways and only needed the room to sleep and shower. Our Steward took excellent care of us he always had our room cleaned and beds made every time we left our room, well at least 3 times a day. The animals he made from towels where really good (Dog and Frog), Keep the bathroom door closed at all times or you will smell the fumes from the sewer throughout your room as the bathrooms do have an odor.

Fantastic Weekend Getaway By: scuba instructor
U217 is a great quad capacity cabin. The Upper deck is the best on this ship.

adequate closet space for two people, good location, convenient to lido deck. We were aft which was fine. We noticed a little motion during sailing but it was not bad at all.

Our Cabin was 185 square feet and much larger than the one we had on a competitor's ship last year. Our stateroom attendant kept our room in great shape. We never saw our attendant, but that wasn't a problem for us. We rarely heard any hallway noise from our room and never heard anything from above or underneath. We had 2 adults and 2 kids in our stateroom and we never felt like it was too small for us.
