Great to be back on the ocean :)
"This is the downfall of Carnival on all of the ships we have sailed so far and even the dealers at the tables just roll their eyes when they say yes this is suppose to be a non smoking table but we are 6 feet away from the smoking tables so "really it's not non smoking" We cruise NCL often and their newer ships, the Joy, Bliss to name a few had a separate smoking room completely enclosed. This cruise had over 3600 people so it was at 90 percent and seems most had a casino offer whether it was a premier or other casino type offer...."Read More

We wanted to get the most out of our vacation, we loved the destinations and length of our trip. The ship was amazing , Huge and very clean. Took us a day or so to grasp the concept of getting everywhere but we did. I loved the elevator system even though most people did not understand you select your destination for every person in your party so the elevator recognizes when its full and will not ...

I actually had booked MSC Meraviglia for this week but MSC wasn't accepting Canadians since we coudn't get insurance, so I picked this cruise as I'd already booked the Nov 7 sailing on Horizon. I was able to get the same inside cabin 8238 for both cruises. I loved its location & cabins on either side of it were unoccupied. I had such a good time on the cruise. Everything was great it was ...

We were on the Vista 3 years ago and this class ship is not our favorite but we enjoyed the Horizon. Our cabin was in a interior Havana. It was wonderful, convenient and we would book the same cabin if we were to sail on this ship again. We had anytime dining as we always choose now and food was very good except for one night. Service was also very good and the servers always friendly. We ...

CASINO BLUES....Bad non smoking section and rude casino boss

I’m a player. I usually cruise for free on RCL and Norwegian; however, I paid to be on this Carnival Horizon because I like where they go, and Carnival is a fun ship. But I am so disappointed with casino. FREE DRINKS only when you are sitting at the slots or table. You can’t go to the bar and order. You must wait forever for a waiter to take and then get you drink. There is a 15 drink ...

When getting to port embarkation went smoothly. Cabin was in the family harbour inside was concerned that there would be noise from children but this was a comp room so just happy to be on cruise, the noise was never a problem. The area that you can get a small meal or snack was very convenient. The staff was on top of making sure it was stocked only problem was older person on scooter was running ...

Excellent Cruise on one of Carnival's largest ships!

My wife and I decided to finally go on one of Carnival's newest ships and we loved it. We never felt like we were with 4,000 other cruisers. The layout of the ship makes it very accessible and easy to get around. Previously, we had been on four of the older ships with half as many passengers. We loved the 'Smart' elevators, just wish everyone would make an effort to use them properly but we ...

We chose this cruise because of dates, ports of call, and leaving from Miami. Getting to the cheap was slowed by traffic issues surrounding Super Bowl Weekend in Miami, but that was not the cruise company's fault. Perhaps a text warning to allow more time could have been helpful. We were early enough it ended up not affecting us, but some fellow passengers talked about the stress. The ship is ...

We had a fantastic week on the Carnival Horizon! This was my 27th cruise and have been on Carnival, Royal, Disney and NCL. I really love the layout of the new Carnival ships. So open and beautiful! We really love the Lanai area on deck 5th! Love how you can get a coffee and just sit out in some comfy couches or chairs and look out at the sea! The coffee shop makes a nice hazelnut ...

Beautiful Ship - Some Hits and Misses

We chose this cruise because of the affordable price. Maybe you get what you pay for as we struggled a little with other guests at times. Too many drunks, so maybe folks spent their savings on the all you can drink plan. We saw a guy nearly throw up on the comedian and his buddy just stand up in the middle of the comedy show for no apparent reason. We saw a woman punch her boyfriend in the jaw ...

If you enjoy Carnival don't take this cruise.

Cruising on Carnival use to have a touch of elegance...it does no more with the Horizon. Small walkways, small outdoor steps -enough for 1 way travel. Some board of suits somewhere decided it's all about the P/L. So sad to see Carnival going this direction. Outdoor pool area is small, the "grand" entrance area is small to capitalize on rooms above. The buffer areas have limited options ...
