not enough variety and repetitive food especially breakfast , roast they make sure they serve it and minimal amount , kids take over whole ship, playing with elevators running up and down hallways and causing havoc, security doesnt control them let alone parents,on our time on there a kid got banned from kids club due to turning up drunk. spa pool all get shut down at 10pm, entertainment finishes ...

Booked this cruise well in advance and couldn't wait to go.
Getting on the ship wasn't too bad but the Long Beach port has much to be desired. Other ports like Orlando were much easier to deal with and you weren't left standing outside waiting to get on.

My husband and I are regular cruisers. The majority of our cruises have been with Carnival with no really bad experiences until now. I have to say that it will probably be awhile before we take another. We chose this one because we liked the idea of being on a long cruise.

I have 17 cruises under my belt, three of them with Carnival. I haven't sailed Carnival since 1996 on the Jubilee. The 1996 cruise was a comparison to the Tropical that I did in 1987, the loss of quality was noticeable but not extreme. 1. Embarkation was easy, we were some of the first guests to arrive.
2. Once on board and able to enter cabin we found dust, our traveling friends found stained linens on their bed and a shower that had not been cleaned. Service was GREAT! Pre-paid the gratuity thinking I didn't have to worry about tipping. Well that is totally wrong! The employees don't receive it! You still need to tip for all your services. Well I should say you don't have to, but the employees are so good to you, you feel you need to.

Very disappointed in this cruise and ship. Not many activities to do onboard unless you like trivia a lot, quality of food not good - felt like eating same thing over and over. Staff not helpful and sometimes rude. Service very slow (slow getting drinks, slow clearing tables, etc.). Shore excursions expensive and not worth the money.
