So my hubby and I got married a week and a half ago and decided to celebrate while on the cruise. BIG MISTAKE! This is not our first cruise so we were excited to be embarking but not prepared for the day to day disappointment. We were sad to miss the formal dining due to getting our laundry back late. We requested for it to be pressed but when we finally received it it was crumpled in a bag all wrinkled. But of course they charged us for it. When we called to ask if they could iron it they told my husband, and I quote, "iron it yourself!" Since we missed the formal dining we decided to go see what they had in the buffet and literally everything was closed except the places that charged for food. We tried not to let that encounter sour our mood so we changed in to bathing suits and went up to the serenity deck where it's 21 and older, or so we thought. There were kids running all around the deck, laying in the hammocks, sitting in the hot tubs... it was ridiculous. We asked a crew member if they could tell the kids to go downstairs and the crew member just shrugged, laughed and walked away. We asked another crew member if they could get us a waiter so we could order drinks and they told us to go get it ourselves, they were busy. I understand it being Thanksgiving holiday week and children being on the ship but this was crazy. Kids running at full speed into people with canes. You couldn't walk anywhere without a child running into you or hitting you. You couldn't be in the casino without a child running around pressing everyone's buttons on the machines while you were literally playing. It was chaotic. All the while the employees just turned away and didn't do anything. We had various charges added to our account that we had to keep a watchful eye on every day. It all added up to over $300 of excursions that were for 3 people when it was only 2 of us in our cabin room. Why do they even bother to schedule anything if they are never on time???? Ugh I lost count of how many things we had to rearrange due to their lack of keeping time. There were only a handful of employees that were actually nice to people . Jess, Coco, JJ, and Milan were the ONLY ONES that were respectful. The rest of the crew needs retraining! Read Less

Went on this trip with my family and a travel group. My second time traveling with this group and had a lovely time. We left from Miami to Princess Cay Island which was lovely. This island is privately owned by cruise company and the you can use your room key to purchase here. Also Carnival provided lunch on the island. Next stop was Nassau, Bahamas we did a guided tour this time 20.00 per person which I could hear others saying different prices which varying from 20.00 to 30.00 pp. The guided tour was cool I got see a little more of the island. Food on this cruise was okay. Breakfast we ate at the omelet bar which was delicious with your your choice of fresh vegetables, cheese, bacon or ham. They also had a all you can eat side with pancakes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, hash browns, baked beans, bacon, sausage and breakfast burritos. There is also a area that offers brunch where they bring the food to you. Lunch they had typical burger joint which I stuck with. They had a salad bar and a taco bar. Drinks we got the free stuff (I learned from my first trip I do not drink enough soda to even bother with the plan) orange juice, lemonade, cranberry juice and water. Side note: bring a travel cup so you do not have to make a bunch of trips to the ice machine. We often are dinner in the assigned fine dining Restaurant. On the last night we went in the casual dining Restaurant and I was not too happy with it dried out pasta with vegetables that I had to mix with another dish to give some life back to the dish. Wait staff was SUPER AWESOME my 6 yr old niece was having a moment and the waiter went over and beyond to calm her down. Each night he would show her different ways to fold animal napkins, he did magic tricks for the kid and us adults. The room stewart was awesome too! He was very tentative to our needs. My heads up is about if you have a strong sense of smell you might have a problem. We smelled what at least think was the smell of raw sewage twice on this ship. Once in our room and the other time was in the Restaurant where they did brunch. The smell greeted you at the door but not in the back. The staff faces looked like they could smell it too, you know the look where you hold your breath so you don't smell anything and putting your hand right below your nose so you can smell your hand lotion. Overall: the trip was enjoyable we made some memories and that is all that matters. Will I travel Sensation again: Probably not due to the smell issues only. Read Less

It was a bingo bugle tournament cruise. I had a great time. My room was clean and airy and I was close to the elevator. I was on deck 2 and concerned because I had read reviews about the noise being so low down and close to elevator. The only noise was a couple of drunks one night and the dropping of the anchor early one morning.i did not go on any any excursions but did go ashore for brief periods.Found the food very good although only warm at the buffet. Dining room early seating was excellent and we had 2 wonderful wait staff that addressed me by name each time and made sure I had my Diet Coke asap Every evening close to dessert time there was entertainment in the form of dance or song by the wait staff. Simply fun..Seaday brunch was excellent. I had a bottomless bubbles package and had no problems getting my pop.definitely worth buying. Embarkation went well .very organized but lots of lines and never-ending walking. I had the best time and have booked for the tournament next year on the carnival magic. Read Less

We sailed on Carnival Conquest from the 27th of October to the 4th of November. Even though my mother and I have been traveling together ever since I was born (22 years ago), all around the world - it’s only recently we started cruising. This was our fourth cruise and the first Carnival Cruiseline. Stateroom 2214: It was a very cozy, little cabin. Nothing extremely exciting, but what to expect from a standard cabin. The cabin-stewards were always very quick with cleaning the cabin, so it always looked nice. The cabin stewards were very sweet and always made sweet towel animals - so many that we had a zoo on the last day! The beds were outstanding! Never have we slept in better beds - not in hotels or other cruises - the madras was so soft and the pillows were fluffy and big. Dining: There were quite a lot different places to eat - but if it is doing the busy hours, not enough room to sit. We eat mostly on the Lido Deck with the buffets, Blue Iguana and the Pizza place. The food, in general, was good, but the variety isn’t the biggest. We liked the fact that we were able to get pizza almost any hour of the day and the frozen yogurt was available 24/7. The frozen yogurt/soft ice was very tasty and even though there weren’t more than three flavors to choose from - you never got tired of them. Breakfast: the croissants and most of the bread wasn’t fresh - which were quite a big bummer. The pasties such as cinnamon rolls were fresher and tasted great - but you expect to eat fresh bread every day when you are on an 8-nights cruise - actually no matter how many days you are onboard. Lunch: we loved the burritos and tacos - in general the lunch was great with a better variety. Dinner: the variety wasn’t the biggest, but it had a good taste. It could have been a plus if the Blue Iguana were open doing dinner-time. Desserts: Most of the cakes lacked taste and texture. Many were almost uneatable due to the huge amount of gelatin, so they became rubbery. Crew: We had the great honor of having Leigh as our cruise director - who is absolutely the star of the ship (if not the company). Leigh is energetic and shows a lot of passion and enthusiasm about his work. He cares a lot about the passengers, always allow himself time to chat with them and knows everyone onboard. He is without a doubt the greatest gift to this company and will with guarantee make your vacation even more unforgettable. He became a great friend of my mother and me, and we will always be thankful for everything he did. You will differently be missing him when you get back home. We hope to cruise with him again!!! Captain Claudio is - just like Leigh - a star of the ship. He is a very sweet, outgoing, charming man, that cares about his passengers, his crew and his ship. He likes to chat with people - not only doing events but also outside of the ship. My mother told him, I want to be a captain myself, and he immediately courage me to do so. The officers: all of the officers we came across were very smiling, sweet and caring. They always said hi and wanted to chat. Not only onboard but also when they saw you outside. The waiters: our experience with the waiters on the lido deck wasn't the best. They did not clean the tables very quickly and did not speak very much with the passengers. They did not seem to be very happy about their job and did not really want to get in contact with anyone - this was a shame, many want to talk with all kinds from the crew, and every other ship we have been to, the waiters were much more talkable and made you feel special. Entertainment: You will never be bored on carnival. If so, it’s your own fault. They have so many different activities during the day and night - so the only problem there is is the time-limit you have. Everything with Leigh is a must. He can make every event laughable. The game shows are a great fun - especially the love & marriage show. The shows with the dancers and singers have a beautiful, creative scenery, the performers and music are great - but the shows are quite the same concept except from a different theme (Motown, the 70’s & the 80’s). so it lacks a bit of variety. We were so lucky to be on Conquest on Halloween night. It was great to see that so many had a costume and Carnival for sure did a lot to put up special drinks and decoration for the night. The only minus was that it wasn’t the guests who chose the winner of the costume competition. It was a shame. Many talked about this afterward and they wished they had a saying in who should have won. The Wi-Fi was terrible. You have to log out and reconnect all the time, and you aren’t able to make a call over Messenger. The Hub-app, Carnival have is a great way to see what’s happening during the day and even get a reminder for the events. You are also able to see a map over the ship, which can come in handy for the first few days. Unfortunately, the app wasn’t able to download after leaving the port due to the Carnivals weak internet. Overall our first experience with Carnival was a success and we look forward to joining the fleet again in April on Carnival Splendor. Read Less

I was on this cruise as part of a hosted singles cruise with a group of over 100 people. I had a great time and no complaints about anything to do with the ship or guest services. Had late dining and ate dinner in the main dining room six of seven nights. Have zero complaints about any of the food. Enjoyed alligator and ox tounge among the more rare things I ate. Among other food I really enjoyed the seaside BBQ and was glad I was able to get it more than one day. Tandoor indian food was a nice surprise that a friend recommended and I'm glad she did. Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana breakfast were good as is the usual. Didn't make it to any of the comedy shows, but the quest game was hilarious and I am totally doing that again. The full band playing on ocean plaza (deck 5 mid) was really good and had lots of people dancing. Received decent enough service at Casino bar, Red Frog Rum bar, and Alchemy bar. I think the very best service was at Red Frog Pub. That place with busy some nights with baseball fans watching the World Series and I still got my drinks fast pretty much every time. Sports square was a nice touch for the ship's outdoor activities, although I didn't actually do the ropes course or any of the waterslides. I love the hottubs on serenity deck with a bar right there. Our ports of call were: Amber Cove, St Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk. Experienced no problems with any of these ports or getting on/off the ship. The Carnival Breeze seems to have something for everyone and I would totally recommend this ship for someone's first experience on Carnival. Not as hectic as the newer and larger Vista and Horizon, and not as run-down looking as some of the older Carnival ships. Had an awesome time. Read Less

We were initially excited to try out this new ship. Overall, we had a great time with our family. This is cruise #3 for us and all 3 cruises have been with Carnival. We have been on the Imagination and Glory prior to this cruise. Our cruise on the Glory was far better than this cruise. =============================================================== The Good: Dining experience was exceptional as always. Our servers were friendly and worked hard to get us what we needed. The first night was a little rough, but the remainder of the week went smooth. The food was decent with the exception of a few items. Guy's Pig and Anchor - Here you can get a variety of BBQ meats along with macaroni salad and potato salad. We ate here 3 time during the cruise. The chicken was exceptional and my favorite. The brisket was OK, but was not tender. I felt they rushed the brisket and didn't allow the connective tissues to reach the proper temp to become tender. I definitely recommend you try the food here. Guy's Burgers - I enjoy the burgers here as long as they are not sitting on the bun to long before you get one. Otherwise the bun will be soggy. Blue Iguana Cantina - Everything here is great. Build your own tacos and burritos. I just wish they were open more hours during the day. Rooms were clean and everything was functional. Plenty of room for clothes in closets. Housekeeping personnel were all very friendly and took care of our needs. I still had to ask for an extension cord for my CPAP machine. I thought since the ship was fairly new that the rooms could accommodate a CPAP without the need of an extension cord stretched across the room, but that was not the case. Overall, our rooms were great. Entertainment - Plenty to do and see. We didn't get to try everything during our one week cruise. Staff – Most of the staff were very nice and helpful. Especially in our room and dining areas. No complaints on hospitality here. Excursions - All of our excursions were well organized once on shore. I cannot rate some of them here since they were not a Carnival Excursion. Definitely recommend the Stingray swim at Cayman Islands. =============================================================== The Bad: Embarkation - Embarkation was very unorganized. The line of cruisers getting on was so long it was mingling with the cruisers getting off the ship. Separation of the two groups would help. Then our group was separated into different zones even after we asked to stay together. So our family was split into tow separate waiting areas while we all waited about 45 minutes before getting on the ship. All the elevators were in "X" mode being used by crew to move luggage so we had to use stairs with our carry on. Not too bad for me, but some in my group have physical impairments that make stairs difficult for them. Buffet - We avoided the Marketplace buffet due to the long lines. Several of our family members waited close to 30 minutes in line only to have the buffet close on them while in line. My wife and I used the buffet one night since we skipped our early dining due to the long excursion day and had to wait in line for over 30 minutes just to get our meal. Ridiculous. Elevators - Getting on an elevator was always an issue. We would have 5 to 10 minutes to get on. I believe this was due to the increased number of people on board. There were about the same number of elevators on Vista as Glory but 30% more passengers. We weren't the only cruisers who noticed this issue. It was a common discussion while waiting to get on one. Our room was on deck 2, so taking the stairs up to Lido Deck 10 was a bit of a trek. We actually got off the elevator when a disabled cruiser in a wheelchair and his wife were trying to get on. They were very grateful. Comedy Shows - The Limelight Lounge was packed at every comedy show. In order to get in, we had to get in line about 30 to 45 minutes before the show start time. Otherwise we would not get a seat. We also had an issue with people cutting in line once the doors opened. They would walk around and look at the art on the walls and when the doors opened, push their way in. We actually had it out with the comedy director, Kate, as she insisted that cutting doesn't happen. Once more of the cruisers behind us chimed in, she changed her tune. The next night she was directing the cutters to go back to the other end of the line. Cooking Demonstration - This was done in the atrium out in the open versus in a separate room (like on the Glory). Cruisers at the bar and those passing through the area would grab samples and walk off. As a result, many of those in attendance didn’t even get to sample the food that was demonstrated. Port Days – Getting off and back on the boat took a while, much longer than the 2 previous cruises we did. Drinks – I am not much of a drinker, so I was surprised when I ordered drinks and got such a difference in alcohol strength. I ordered the same drink most of the time and they were all inconsistent. My wife switched to beer after she was disappointed in the mixed drinks. At least the alcohol content was consistent. =============================================================== Overall there is plenty to do on the ship if you like standing in lines for your vacation. They have many new restaurants but they cost more money if you want food there. We are probably going to try another cruise line after this experience. This is based on our latest experience as well as reading other reviews that state many of same issues we had. Read Less

We went on our first cruise with a large group of friends. We met up in Tampa and took a shuttle to the port. Embarkation was very quick (faster to the fun) and a smooth process. We enjoyed walking around the ship and getting oriented before the muster drill. The sail away party was a lot of fun and going under the bridge was quite a sight as well. We found the ship to be clean and our cabin was always maintained thanks to our steward, Wayan. He was most helpful and answered any questions we had. The activities on deck were fun to watch and we had a great time hanging out by the pool and gathering in the Alchemy Bar. Our wait staff in the Main Dining Room were amazing! Ali, our head waiter, and his team, were very knowledgeable and helped me with my choices so that I would have the best dining experience possible. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. I even saw some of the staff dealing with rude cruisers and I never heard them lose their professionalism. We missed a port in Mahogany Bay because of high winds. I was disappointed to not go on our excursion, but was glad the captain made the call and kept us safe. The other ports were great and our excursions were wonderful. We enjoyed the Altun Ha ruins in Belize and the Crystal Caves adventure in Grand Cayman. This was our first cruise but some of our group were diamond and platinum cruisers and they were just as pleased as we were. Read Less

For 50th Reunion I loved the Havana Experience Dining The dining room experience was the worst I have ever had. There were only tablecloths on the tables 2 night. You had to save your fork from your salad for your main course. I got a baked potato on several nights and it was hard. On lobster night the waiters did not remove the lobster from the shell like I have experienced on my past 38+ cruises. Your time dining was the worst. You had to go to deck 5 to get a table on deck 3 every night. On the one night we had a group dinner when we got the dining rooms the tables were not ready and caused us to eat a separate table. We were randomly invited to do a chef tasting at breakfast one morning. Now that was a treat. The only drawback was that after tasting everything we were not hungry for dinner. But if you get the chance take it. Entertainment Typical mediocre cruise ship entertainment. I guess I am spoiled by Royal. I did not like the layout of the main theater because of the poles The 3 D theater was fun but kind of hokey. Maybe the subject matter because it was Halloween. Embarkation and Debarkation was a breeze. Mainly because we are Diamond and had priority. Casino Very smokey in the entire Casino. Felt like I needed to burn my clothes when I got out. Since we had already been to the ports we only did one tour at the last minute in Cozumel. It was a good tour. Read Less

The crew is friendly but rather unhelpful, they never clarified any instructions and I was offered a drink maybe once in my several days by the pool. There was no one out taking drink orders and bringing drinks. The food at the formal dining was not great, and even upon sitting at the bar my younger sister tried to get the crews attention for over 30 minutes. I’m addition when we made it to our second stop we originally were told we could get off at 11, well going through customs has people still on the boat it’s alrwady 2 o’clock. Originally they also said we didn’t have to be back on the hot until 8, that has also been moved up until 6:30. This is the most unruly cruise I’ve ever been on, people are missing their excursions they paid hundreds of dollars for, and frankly it isn’t even worth it to get off the boat anymore. Simply ridiculous. All of this said, we were looking for a cheaper cruise but I feel even for the price it wasn’t worth it. Read Less

19th cruise, 9th with Carnival and this was the best ship out of Jax so far! M148 was large with converting twins, no elevator noise and excellent room stewards! Don’t buy the alcohol package, the ship ran out of Budlight and Michelob Ultra day 4 so everyone hashtagged Facebook to complain- crew bar below deck had to give up theirs so we had beer by end of day. Ship was clean, employees were polite and the ship didn’t not smell of sewage like other reviews complained about BUT no free lobster, yes we had a bar fight and a couple went to jail. A lot of pot smell but security and housekeeping cleaned house and more people went to boat jail. People who drank too much and yes we saw a few were escorted to their room, card cut off and all alcohol removed for 48 hours! Guys hamburgers were okay but definitely ask for a double and don’t take no for an answer. They have to give you what you ask for! Pool was drained and cleaned everyday, tables were always stocked...to be honest the only problem our group had was was rude cruisers with an attitude that they should be treated like royalty. The Jax Port is being refurbished so here is the best tip I can give you...get there early and forget what your boarding pass says..people who were scheduled at 2 pm were on board at noon! They have no where to make you wait at so just get on board as soon as you can or you will be standing in the heat sweating your butt off! Read Less

We are gold on Carnival and with that we can say that the Vista was a fantastic ship. We were in a suite 7370. Excellent access to all events. We are stair people, only because we don't want to make that extra 5 lbs average increase on a cruise get the better of us. So elevators issues were not a problem. We took them getting on and getting off only, since we had bags. They were as to be expected, tight and you had to go down to go up (if you know what I mean), but everyone was friendly. The ship was clean and tight. The last approximately 2 1/2 years have been good to the Vista, that is a tribute to the crew and their tireless push to keep it looking ship-shape and Bristol fashion! Shows and clubs were well attended and fun. The IMAX is completely unhooked! It in my opinion is one of the best small theaters I have ever been in, small meaning 185 people small!. Behind the Fun tour is hard to get but very very worth the effort. Sign up as soon as you enter the ship at excisions or customer service! Seeing the I-95 is amazing, that is deck zero corridor that runs the length of the ship. Also the galley, laundry, back stage, oh and the brig...it is a great behind the scene tour! They do 2 every last sea days with 16 people per tour. So they fill up fast. Nice job Carnival in bringing a truly first class ship to Texas! Read Less

I must say, this was my first cruise and all around it was AMAZING. Everyday, every moment, every seconds I loved it. But what also made my 8 days at sea so wonderful is the amazing staff I came in contact with. First these to amazing people Francisco and Thal in house keeping, always remember there pleasant and genuine smile in the mornings and evening. I should know because I LOVE people and these two they have a very gentleness and pleasant spirit towards them. I pray a special blessing upon them and their family. They were very kind. Next in Pixels is Sinisa (Serbia). He is very pleasant and does an amazing job at what he does in Pixel. He complements a girl's picture when he is in it. Must I also say, he is GORGEOUS. Just a bonus and glad he was on this ship. Now a sets of amazing waiters, Adi, William (Colombia), Esther or queen Esther (India), Edi (Indonesia) and James ( St. Vincent).... These crew made my Church sisters and I laugh so hard and was a great pleasure having them as our waiters. They made dinner in the evenings exciting and with a lot of laughter. I do pray they keep that excitement in them because they help made my first cruise very exciting and a great experience. And to top is off, Mike the cruise director, HE WAS AWESOME and FUNNY. Whatever he does he makes it very exciting and gets the crowd involved in fun and excitment. From start to finish was amazing getting on the ship was all pure excitement for me but leaving I wasn't ready. I am sure there are plenty more wonderful people on board like the few I mentioned, but I must say GREAT STAFF you have Carnival Horizon. Thanks to you and your staff especially the ones I mentioned for making my first experience a memorable one. Read Less

I choose this cruise because it was going to the Panama Canal and the port was close to home in Mobile. It was a longer cruise and like to travel on the ship. The more days, the better it is. We booked the cruise 11 month in advance because it was filling up pretty fast. Some of my friends were going and they told us about it. This was our 18th cruise on the Carnival. We like a smaller ship and the Fantasy is one of the smallest ship in the fleet. It is the oldest. We took our snorket gear with us so when we visited Rotan (Magahony Bay) we could do some snorkeling too. The water was so clear, but not many things to see in the clear water since they had rock barriers. There were a few little fish to see. The weather couln't have been any nicer. The cabin was ready when we board and we greeted our steward. He was very friendly and we wanted ice and he kept us with ice the whole trip. The dining waiters were very friendly and worked hard for our table of 10. We had people that were late every time and they just smile and took their orders, which sometimes held our meals up. Anything we needed we just call the service desk and we got all our answers and services we needed. The ports were great and we enjoyed our cruise very much. Over all the staff was great. Read Less

DJ JD was pretty good playing all that fun music makes everybody dance keep it up!! !The bathrooms were so so clean, and every team member was so kind and helpful always smiling. The Latino group made my husband and i dance a lot when they played the Latin music. So many activities to do in just one day makes your day goes by fast. Our stateroom Steward HENDRA couldn't be more excellent Thank you so much for your great service and for remembering our names. we would love to see you again. Definitely my best birthday gift ever!!!! hopefully coming back soon enough. THANK YOU. xoxo Read Less

We had family that was booked on this cruise.. about a month out we decided to join them.. This was the first time that we had cruised with others.. and only our 5th cruise...We had a fantastic time with minor and personal disappointments.. By no means am I complaining at all.. It was great.. A few minor things.. Left out of NY. Which we have done a few times.. There was always someone at the parking pier to help with our bags.. I have COPD so its hard for me to help hubby sometimes.. Sadly no one was there to help us.. We did manage.. BUT there was a family with a few disabled children that had no help at all..When we got down stairs DH did ask that someone please go up and help this family.. There was no way they could do it alone.. We were thanked later that day by the family.. They said someone did come to help.. The Horizon is using the new elevator system.. Now this did work out for most of us after the first day.. On boarding day they do ask that you please not use the elevators until we are moving.. Go figure.. no one listened.. So it was a mess.. BUT.. How it works is simple.. and it worked great if people would listen or learn how it works. There are menu boards outside the elevators with the different floors.. They want you to press the floor you want for each person that will be using the elevator.. so if 4 people are going to floor 5 press it 4 times.. that way the elevators knows how many people will be boarding that elevator.. BUT some people would press it once and then expect to load 10 people in when we already have 7 of us waiting.. They need to stress how it works a bit louder so people understand.. When it was used correctly it was great.. Rooms.. Food.. staff.. all fantastic.. I would have preferred a better mix of music by the pools.. It was the same music everyday.. and not very entertaining.. Although the shows were great as always.. I would have liked them to mix it up a bit more..I like to do and see as much as I can.. The sitting ares outside were perfection.. I enjoyed sitting and relaxing on a few days which I never ever do. We ate in the dinning room at night and the staff was fantastic and the food was very good.. The last 2 nights I did notice that the shared bathrooms around the ship were not being cleaned as well as they had been. not sure why.. We did see some food left on th floor the next day after being cleaned.. which was also strange.. Normally the ships are very very clean.. But this was still nothing to complain about.. It was very minimal.. We did have a hurricane that was building so we had to miss a port.. but always need to be safer than not.. So now the real complaints.. I gained to much weight.. and I walked.. Enjoy your next cruise everyone.. I am already looking into ours.. Read Less

Wow so much to say. Upon arriving on the cruise ship there was this smell throughout the whole ship and my family was told they had plumbing issues. Ny husband and I checked into the room upon entering the room I checked thr bathroom it was bowl movement in the toilet then I went to sit on the bed were my leg was scrap because the springs in the bed were sticking out to I got cut on my leg I called down to customer care waited for 25 mins no answer so I went down stairs to the desk. A customer care Rep came to the room with me and she notice the smell in the room the toilet the rug was so nasty that my husband had only took his shoes off for 20 min and his white socks were black at the bottom. The customer care Rep walkie talkie someone and 3 people came up . Floor manger and 2 housekeepers we lift up the bed and found someone diets underwear some shoes dirty party towels a knife and some other things that were disgusting all this happen when the Rep was standing in the room. The sofa in the room was so dirty and look like a child was in the room how sticky the sofa was so of course that had to bvb e cleaned as well. So they asked if I could go to the lido deck and wait for the room to be clean I said I had 4 more rooms on here I'll go to my sister room and wait well it took them 1 hour 20 mins to clean the room which I was ok with after that . Moving along to my other complaint we went to the burger shop and they were putting molded cheese on the sandwiches and my husband stop them and the guy stated what do you think cheese is made out of I'm like wait would you eat it? NY husband went and got a manger and they threw it all away the cheese and burgers and started over which I have pictures and a recording of so that really made me upset I'm 20 weeks pregnant and this is what I get not even the 2nd day on the cruise so now that leads me to my 3rd complaint it was the captain's ball night we all got dressed and walked down to meet the Capitan I had my mom, brother and nephew with me who was thier first time cruising eveyone elese we had cruise before so I asked which was the capital the actual captain pointed to another man and in reading the badge it dont say Capitan so why would the Capitan point to this guy I walked down stairs took a pic of the Capitan picture off the border behind customer service desk walked back upstairs and recorded that as well I asked the Capitan why he lied about not being the Capitan " he stated I didnt want to take the picture but an older couple comes up and he take the picture with them I just walked off and put that with my notes. Then dinner time 8:15 we recieved bloody fried chicken that had to be sent back twice then we we ate steak I asked for well done my steak was bleeding the waiter stated that's the best way to eat the steak I'm like wow ... I just ate cold shrimp all my dinner nights then when I return back to my room customer care called and asked did I want champagne and strawberries for my inconvenience I said no thank you I cant drink I'm 20 weeks pregnant she stated that it's ok to have 1 glass I'm like no it's not ok in my book. I left out the room and came back at 2 am and guess what champagne and molded strawberries were on my table when I left the boat on the 6th it was still there I never took it with me. When I got off the boat I was so happy to be off I felt dirty I was scared to bring my clothes in my home . I reported my issue while at the airport the only thing they gave me was a cruise in board credit my question is how do you know I will return back on the cruise that means if I don't return then its forget my problems the guest care on the phone stated we would love to have you back but that's pretty much a lost I'm like wow.. even after they recieved my pictures and email and all that's all she had to say was " the turnaround time to clean the rooms are time sensitive and people make mistakes" I asked was I not important enough? They also stated that half the ship was down because they was remodeling the ship also the fun shop was close the entire time .. it was a bad experience... Read Less

We are a family of 4 and were excited to set sail on a Carnival cruise. It was our anniversary and we take a trip every year to celebrate as a family. When we arrived at the cruise port I was very happy to be able to drop our bags off and then park our car in the parking garage. The check in process went fairly smooth. Once we arrived to our room we noticed that the couch was stained and the room appeared out dated. Our cabin steward met us and introduced himself. He was very nice and asked us about any specific needs. We had a difficult time finding food as our entire family was very hungry for an afternoon snack. Once we found the food it was overall good. The ship was very crowded at this point and there were lots of people in the pools and out and about. A big disadvantage for this ship is the fact that they have very small pools and only 3. We did not have a chance to swim in the pools at all during our cruise due to the fact that they were small and over crowded. The food was our favorite part about the cruise. Our dinner was good each night and the breakfast buffet was pretty good each morning. We felt that our dinner service was good. The cruise director (Tevin) was very annoying and was constantly making announcements. He made announcements throughout the ship until 10 p.m. This was a problem for us as we have children and they went to bed around 8:30 each night. Also, the activities planned were more geared to those who like to party. This was advertised as a family cruise, but it was far from this. They had several Dr. Seuss themed activities but these were very minimal and were usually only in the morning. We did attend the Dr. Seuss breakfast on Saturday morning and really enjoyed it. The breakfast cost an extra $5 per person. Each night we got woke up multiple times throughout the night due to loud people in the hallway returning to their rooms from partying. We would get woke up around 12 midnight and even as late as 3 am. The worst night was Friday night when there were many people outside our cabin door. A random guy came knocking on our cabin door at 4 a.m. of course my wife and I awoke and were a little startled, but we thought no big deal he will go away. The man then began using his key card multiple times and was somehow able to open our room door. He then proceeded to come into our room and I yelled out at him. Thankfully he did leave and I did not have to physically confront him. The next day we reported the incident to the guest services desk. The woman at the desk looked very concerned and called security. Once we discussed this matter with security and filled out a report the security guard said he would make sure people were not in our hallway being loud on Saturday night and that he would follow up with us about the man getting into our room with a key card. The security officer never followed up with us and we were still awoken multiple times after midnight on Saturday going into Sunday. The shore excursion was a waste of money. We did the Atlantis Aqua-venture excursion. This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. In short it rained and stormed for a short period of time and all of the attractions were closed for a long while. We got maybe 1 1/2 hours to play in the pools and ride some of the attractions until we had to leave. When I complained at the excursions desk they told me that they are not responsible for inclement weather and that we would not get any credit or money back. Overall I was disgusted with this cruise and will never travel with Carnival again. There are not enough family activities and this was more of a booze cruise than a family adventure. Also, my daughter became ill on the last night of our cruise. She began to run a fever and was throwing up. I called the medical department and was told that I would be charged $60 for her to see a nurse. I did not pay the extra money. Medical care like this should be included. If someone came down with something serious or very contagious, then the medical staff would need to know about it. Read Less

Me and my wife took the cruise for our honeymoon and first vacation ever to ourselfs. I was surprised at the selections of food they had on the cruise. Me and my wife definately did not go hungry, if anything we gained a few pounds while on our cruise. The sun decks were perfect for many people to enjoy the sun as well as other company. I enjoyed trying my hand at many games in the casino, even thou I didn't win anything. My wife enjoyed a couple of the games in the video arcade, at least the easy ones. The pool side movies were a nice touch, even thou I only got to watch one of the many they showed. The cabin was spacious for two people to share, might've been crowed if more than two had the same room. The steward we had, Junaedi, was very nice and helpful with any request. We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion we decided at the last minute to go snorkeling and eat a Mexican lunch with tequila tastings with Claudia. I would highly recommend taking the cruise with the triumph going to Cozumel, Mexico. Just make sure to bring plenty of spending cash. Read Less

I'm genuinely not a person who complains about anything. I'm such a simple person to please, and pretty laid back. With that said, this ship needs some major updating. Yes, there's a musky smell as soon as you enter the ship. You become desensitized to it during your stay on the ship, but it's noticeable each time you return from your port stops. In the main dining room, some lights (grapes) are broken, and they need to be replaced. I'm soooooo not a prude or someone who gets easily offended, however, the half naked "angels" in the dining room or in various places on the ship made my children feel very uncomfortable. They are way more conservative than I am (I'm not), apparently, and they said they hated seeing them while they were eating but couldn't look away; they're 6 and 7 years old. Personally, I didn't care about that. Additionally, I'm confused to the whole ship name of "Miracle". It's called Miracle yet the theme within the ship is very Halloween or dark. From a marketing standpoint, I would rename the ship to Halloween, or something to do with those characters. Throughout the ship you have pictures or areas named after The Phantom, Mad Hatter, Frankenstein, and so on. How does that have anything to do with Miracles? If they ever update the ship, they should stick with the Halloween theme, update accordingly, and rename the ship to appeal to a niche because 'Miracle' makes no sense. Also, add a costume theme party because that's always super fun. Before guests board the ship, remind them to bring a costume! This ship has a great port itinerary, so it's a shame that it's not as great as it could be. It has some great potential if Carnival chooses to update it. They also have a lot of room on the Sun deck to make it more fun for family activities. Painting that awfully colored green slide would certainly be a start. Camp Ocean was great! Our kids wanted to go there every single day, even after a long day at the ports. They're obviously doing something really fun in there, and staffed with great counselors. We appreciated the cameras located inside Camp Ocean too. The entire staff onboard Miracle were spectacular, and so very hardworking. They worked tirelessly, so please tip. We prepaid gratuities, and still tipped in addition to prepaying. I made it a routine to look at their tags and their countries of origin, and ask them about it. They were always pleasant to speak to, and answer any questions. The cabins were fine, and nice to come back to after a long day. Great beds, and they put me to sleep instantly. Our balcony was spacious, and our cabin was good enough; no complaints about our room. Loved the Western Caribbean port stops, and we plan to choose a ship with the same exact ports because we loved them. Although, we won't be returning to the Miracle unless it get's updated. Rating this ship as a 3* is being generous, if I'm being honest. Dear Carnival: update Miracle because it has great marketing potential. You're Welcome. Read Less

I choose this cruise for the entire family (14), 4 cabins. We had first timers and recurring cruisers. Our embarkation was fast and smoothly for all of us. I had every one doing their check in online , definitely recommend ,which help with the transition. For disabled assistance, the check in was fast too. I had requested wheel chair assistant for my parents ahead of time. We had 4 children during the trip, they loved the water slides, golf courts area, arcade, pool & the children clubs, recommend online registration for kids activities. This ship is one of the old one from carnival. Very simple, not much entertainment and activities onboard. Dance club not much options; DJ sucs no variety in music selection. Cabins were simple, small and some structures deteriorated. We had ocean view and inside cabins. The worst room service take long to bring your request. All shore excursions were bought at ports, cheaper.Yes will go again. Read Less

Getting on and off the ship went very smoothly. There was 8 of us that cruises on the splendor, they always made sure to give us all the space we needed. The cruise gave us options once you got off the ship such as excursions and restaurants to go eat at or see. Entertainment on the ship was amazing. The shows on the ship they would do we’re so much fun and you could even talk to the cast afterwards. They were so sweet and fun to be around. The comedy shows we’re hilarious and they had family shows too so everyone can watch them. Certain nights they would hold deck parties and play music and just dance all night. On other nights they would hold movies out on the deck where everyone could lay out and watch them it was awesome. Read Less
