Excellent first time cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

As a first time cruiser this cruise exceeded my expectations on every level. After reading terrible reviews I was very anxious about going on this cruise. But we have just had the best holiday ever. Food is excellent and so much of it!! We liked to go to the golden resturant in the evening as it is a la cart and always a nice choice. Staff work so hard and are always very friendly. We felt the ...

I picked this cruise to go with my family. My daughter and family decided to cruise together. I hadn't ever cruised before, I'll say it was a pleasure. I enjoyed every moment. Amazing Time On Glory

This was our 2nd time on the Glory and 3 time at these stops. But this was one of the best if not the best cruise we have had on Carnival (7 Carnival Cruises). Spent the night before in Miami at Holiday Inn, right across from Bayside Market Place, nice hotel, great location. Boarding the ship was the fastest we had ever had. Checking time was 12, got there about 11:45 and walked right on to the ...

We enjoyed our cruise (Mother, my wife, 7 yo daughter and myself). We arrived the morning of the cruise and used MJS transportation to get from FLL to POM. Getting on and off went well. We picked our arrival time and they check at the gate yet getting on was first come first serve as I saw people sitting beside me with an arrival time hours after mine but a boarding time ahead of me. Either way, ...

This is the my second cruise on Carnival Glory and it was as fantastic as my first cruise 6 years ago. I did the exact same ports of call and enjoyed it as much now as I did then. The only difference was I had my boyfriend and not my sisters this time. We had priority boarding and a balcony room and everything was the same as I remembered it, except for different wait staff at dining room and ...

Not quite a Sensation but still pretty awesome

Used Faster to the Fun to get on the ship by 11:30. Against my better judgement, I agreed to leave my carry on with the porters instead of taking it directly on the ship as I had planned (and done last year). Next time I'll be taking it on board. The people outside did not believe me when I said I could to straight to my room with my bag, but alas, with FttF, I was correct! I could have ...

This was our first Carnival cruise though we have cruised with NCL several times. We were traveling with two 17 year olds and are non-drinkers. The boat was very clean and the staff was amazing. We arrived in Miami the day before and went on a airboat ride through the everglades (amazing) and then stayed at the Newport Beachside Resort in Sunny Isles. It is a beautiful hotel right on Miami ...

This was our second time on the Glory and to almost the same places. We picked it as a Christmas gift to ourselves and mostly just to relax and enjoy the ocean. In our 30 years of cruising this was the first time we had rain days. Embarkation was easy, and we were onboard by 11:30 and eating lunch after dropping our carry on in the cabin and getting our key card from the mailbox. Met our ...

Great Value, Great Itinerary

This is a review of Carnival Glory's January 27, 2018 trip to the Western Caribbean. The itinerary was Miami, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize City, Cozumel, Miami over a period of seven days. This seems to be a regular itinerary for this ship, which sometimes visits the same ports in reverse order. I am going to write about only things I have not seen covered in other reviews. From the ...

First ever Carnival cruise, but won’t be last

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

We chose Carnival for this cruise for three reasons: the price, the itinerary, and the more laid back atmosphere, as our traveling companions were first time cruisers and more apt to be intimidated by a stuffy vibe. The Glory is a lovely ship, and well maintained. Having pre-purchased FTTF (Faster To The Fun, a ridiculously inexpensive add-on when you consider the perks), we’ve never ...
