We were a group of 8. 4 adults and 4 children ages 11 8 4 and 2. This was my 2nd time on Carnival and the first time for all others. I felt like this cruise was extremely crowded. There was no space to walk around the ship without worrying about losing a kid or getting separated from your group. Crowds every where. Deck chairs on sea days were never to be found and Chair hogs were out in ...
We chose this cruise because of the cost - hoping to get good value for the money. What we got was a "cheap" cruise in pretty much every sense of the word. First of all, the positives - embarkation was smooth and efficient. Our bags were at our stateroom by 1:30pm. One of the onboard bands was incredible. They played 50's - 80's rock, and were among the most talented musicians we've seen. ...
I went on a cruise with my best friend November 11-18 on Carnival Cruise ship "Glory". I hadn't been on a cruise in 20 years so I thought I would give it a try again. I can now say I will never go on another cruise ever again. It is simply because I have been on all-inclusive land vacations at least 6 times to various locations in Mexico and Jamaica and those vacations are far superior to the ...
I have traveled on many different cruise lines and only picked this cruise because of the ports of call and it fitting in with our schedule. I knew when I booked it not to expect very much. I only saw this as a means of transportation between the islands, not a relaxing cruise ship itself. The food was horrible. I am not expecting gourmet at the buffet line but it was boring and routine. I mainly ...
Carnival had a cheaper cruise to the ports than Royal Caribbean this time. I was very disappointed in the food. We spent most of our time eating at Guy's Burger Joint. We had a balcony and the windows and doors was so filthy that it was hard to see out of them. Purell sanitation stands were up against the walls, so we rarely saw anyone washing hands. Hard to find staff in the Lido restaurant to ...
We chose this cruise on a suggestion from Carnival representative. We just wanted to get away and enjoy ourselves for a week. Dining selection in the main dining room was not even worth attending. We ate at Guys Burger joint quite a few times as the selection at the buffet's did not look appealing. Half the time Guy's Burger's did not get our order correct. But a burger's a burger so we made do. ...
I'm sure the cruise business is a tough one, and they need to make a buck where they can, but this ship is in need of a month or two in drydock to deal with some issues.
#1 on my list would be air quality. Everyone I talked to was suffering from "cruise crud", basically lingering congestion in the lungs. I think the problem is mold spores, as my spotless shower turned black with mildew within 2 ...
My family and I went on Carnival Glory for a 7 day cruise last weekend. I am going to point out some pros and cons of our experience on this cruise.
Pros:
1)Our waiters (Yatish, Erick and Iedge) were very nice.
2) I was plesantly surprised to find out that Guy's Burgers was not and extra charge neither was the taco please. The only downfall there was that I found pieces of bones in my ...
I did this cruise reluctantly, last minute to help my son who was cruising for the first time at his request. I'll make this as brief as I can :/. (First, DO NOT DO SHIP EXCURSIONS. Do the homework and make your own arrangements. More on that below.)
From the beginning: Embarkation went as expected, crowded and slow. Checking in ahead didn't help much, but some. Get there early! Bring a ...
First impressions are everything. I took this cruise to help complete a CLIA MCC requirement and to learn the Carinval brand from first hand experience. Checking in the rep Nicole with 21 years experience with Carnival could care less that I was an agent from a major franchise traveling. I inquired about anything I could do to upgrade my experience on-board aside from the chef table I pre-booked. ...
