A relaxing four day getaway

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Carnival Glory

Our family had a great time aboard the Carnival Glory. Not everything was perfect, but we had such a good time, my kids and husband are hooked on going on another cruise. Staff: Most of the crew usually had a smile and a greeting and were fairly friendly and helful. Our wait staff while not being overly warm, were efficient and fairly quick, never raising an eyebrow if we ordered more than one ...

My husband and I were part of a larger group celebrating the wedding of two friends. First, the memories made and fun had by time with our group was amazing and truly once in a lifetime. And, the ports of call (Saint John and Halifax) were both great (Halifax was fantastic). However. The ship itself? Notsomuch. The Good: -Comfy bed -Balcony allowed for relaxing time outside (away from ...

Carnival Glory 5 days from Boston to Canada. Cabin 1110This was our first cruise and it was an anniversary present from our adult daughters who also went with us. The cruise was in July for five days from Boston to Halifax, NS and stopped at St. Johns, NB both in Canada. The port in Boston was clean and very nice and the embarkation process was pretty smooth and a lot easier than any airline ...

As a veteran of more than 15 cruises, 3 of them on Carnival, I felt I pretty much knew what to expect after reading some of the reviews before my cruise, but there were a few surprises, good and bad. Embarkation was quick and easy. We arrived at 10:30 AM, parked in the lot that charged $10 per day, and was quickly bussed to the ship. No lines, no waiting. At 11:00 AM we were on the ship. ...

Sailed on the Glory departing July 16th (2012) for a 5-night cruise from Boston. Nice vacation! As others have written there are pros and cons....I will try to be consistent in presenting an accurate picture. I like to read reviews done by subject so I have written mine the same. I traveled with my mom (68) and her friend (65) and myself. Pre-Cruise Information: We are from ...

I pride myself with having the ability to find the positive in everything. I'm definitely a glass half-full type. Well my recent cruise aboard the Carnival Glory was a true test and I'm not sure I succeeded. I have cruised quite a bit, but never with Carnival, so I researched the ship, itinerary and the cruise line itself quite extensively. I probably read every trip report written over the ...

We drove from Maine to Boston the morning we set sail. We picked up a friend on the North Shore and headed to pier. I felt that the direction to the pier and the signage was excellent. We pulled up in front of the ship, a porter took our luggage, two of the members of our group took the carry-on baggage, while the other two went to park the car. We used the off-site parking lot, as they had ...

We traveled as a group of 11 for this cruise with a total of four staterooms. Our party consisted of 5 adults, two 23 year olds, a 14 year old, two 11 year olds and a 9 year old. Embarkation: We ignored emails to arrive at 1:30PM and arrived at around 11:15AM as originally planned. We dropped off our luggage with the porters, parked the car and headed on board. There were hardly any lines for ...

Getting on-board the ship was easy. My husband and I enjoyed the Mongolian Grill. Dinner in the Golden Main dining room was just ok. I had salmon with a fishy smell to it. We also requested a table for 2, but were only about 6 inches from the next table, so we were really at a table for 4. You had to talk with the people sitting next to you or be rude. Not that they weren't nice, but we really ...

Carnival Glory-What we expected.

We are married couple, without children. We have cruised various cruises lines over the last 10 years. We choose our cruises primarily based on the itinerary. We had read the cautionary tales of Carnival and the Glory before booking. But we wanted to escape the heat of the south and wanted to visit the Candian Maritimes. Embarkation: we were surprised by the lack of attentiveness from the ...
