Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

I did this cruise reluctantly, last minute to help my son who was cruising for the first time at his request. I'll make this as brief as I can :/. (First, DO NOT DO SHIP EXCURSIONS. Do the homework and make your own arrangements. More on that below.) From the beginning: Embarkation went as expected, crowded and slow. Checking in ahead didn't help much, but some. Get there early! Bring a ...

We chose this cruise as a surprise trip for my husbands retirement. We enjoyed ourself. The only down side was waiting in line to board ship for 2 hours and being shuttled to Carnivals island by boat. The dining in the evening was always good with great service. The entertainment was average but enjoyable. Our room was always kept clean with fresh towels and turn down service. Morning room ...

We chose this cruise because it was my mothers 60th birthday. We have only sailed once previously on the Sensation in 2006. I was considerably younger, and do not remember a lot of comparisons from that cruise. That being said, embarkation went okay. We set our time for 2:30 to board, and arrived at 10 am. We we kind of shocked that there was nothing to do at the terminal besides sit in the ...

Our family are avid cruisers. This cruise was the WORST we have ever been on. We will never cruise Carnival again!! The ship is old and dirty..our balcony room was filthy....broken lamps...dust and grime all over the room and bathroom. Food was inedible..in fact the whole family got sick the next day after eating the lobster and prime rib. Because of that we missed our shore excursion because we ...

Went on Cruise for the Islands. Loved San Juan the old city and the fort is Interesting. Grand Turks is very beautiful. Loved Jimmy Buffets grounds and pools. The ship needs some updating in the buffet. The food , the meat is very good. The fish most of the time is good and the Hamburger's are excellent. The wait staff is very good. Some of the food can be improved. Lots of activates ...

We chose this cruise for our honeymoon because it was a cost friendly alternative to a destination but it allowed us to visit many awesome places. It was fabulous in every way. Our room was always clean and the steward was awesome. Every staff member was always so kind and fun. We went to many of the comedy shows and amber palace shows and they were all fantastic. We had anytime dining and ate at ...

We just completed our first b2b cruise and had a wonderful time. For gamblers, the first half was an ultra cruise and the second half was a premium cruise. We found all the casino staff to be wonderful during a very, very busy time. Carnival may have made a mistake loading over 400 gamblers in the first half because every table was always busy. Some people never got to the table they wanted ...

December 03, 2016 started my second cruise in six years having completed my degree. I was invited by my two work colleagues to take the cruise.. did not regret. From the inception of boarding the Carnival Glory, we had a fantastic time touring the different countries. Our stewards were of excellent service. the ports visited were unforgettable and still linger on my mind. (Cayman Island, ...

We almost always fly in the day of the cruise. We flew into Fort Lauderdale and took a private shuttle down to Miami Port. This was the first time that we have gone out of Miami. We took an early flight so we could get on early and I could go into Miami for our weekly wine allowance. We arrived about 11:15 and was greeted with a long line. We finally got thru all the check in and was seated with ...

We chose this cruise as our first cruise, honestly because it seemed a lot better value than other lines. I'm glad we did chose Carnival and chose Avoya travel to book it through. Every Carnival employee, down to a person, seemed friendly and eager to help. The embarkation went smoothly, took about 1 hour total from when we got in line to when we actually got on the ship so I thought that was ...
