First Time on Carnival and Pleasantly Surprised

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Glory

We were a party of 12 adults for the January 20th eastern Caribbean sailing. Embarkation at the Miami cruise port was fairly effortless, with only a minor congestion at the bag drop off area and at the entry/x-ray point. Otherwise we walked right onto the ship. Most of us were first time cruisers and we were pleasantly surprised at the size and cleanliness of the ship overall. We boarded the ...

We specifically chose this cruise -- before the hurricanes -- because we wanted to visit Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. We were worried about the people after hearing the news of the devastation: Would our visit be a burden or a blessing? I can tell you that for these islands, the cruise visitors are a blessing. The people are very appreciative and express their thanks many times for our visits. The ...

We had sailed on the Carnival Glory back in 2004 and it is still a good option for cruising. After being at sea for nearly 15 years, Carnival has done a great job of keeping the vessel in good condition. The public areas were all well maintained and the staff worked tirelessly to keep it clean. We still enjoyed the convenience of the deck 5 promenade which allows you to reach both ends of ...

Overall I think the cruise was amazing. I had a problem with the motion. In talking to another guest, I was able to purchase some wristbands in the gift shop that helped a lot with the issue. What I found disappointing was when my sister made the reservations there were 4 ports. After hurricane season Carnival took one of our ports, St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands away and gave us another ...

My BF and I planned this trip for a year so it was Awesome to finally be able to woo-sah after a busy year, was needed. Our hearts go out to all of the hurricane victims, but we were still very disappointed about our new itinerary. Instead of Puerto Rico and St. Thomas, we ended up going to the following places: First, Embarkation and Debarkation was quick and easy. Half Moon Cay ...

Chose this cruise due to it being Halloween and liking the itinerary. Unfortunately this changed but that was not the cruise lines fault. My first cruise so nothing to compare with but can genuinely say only had 1 issue the rest I had nothing to complain about. Issue was with the way security handled an unruly guest. Despite me making a complaint as the woman had attacked me and knocked the ...

I have mixed feelings on this cruise. The good - The staff was amazing (Jing at Blue Iguana, Simona in the lobby bar, Yakub in the Alchemy bar). The food and staff at the MDR was wonderful. Plenty of activities around the ship. Plenty of loungers and pools. The bad - Limited lido buffet options. The cruise director was CLEARLY checked out. He didn't barely spent any time at the cruise ...

Average cruise. Had a relaxing vacation. Ships decorations were subpar for Halloween. Just a few blowups. I expected more. Platinum paperwork and drink coupon received on day 6 instead of day 1. Anytime dining was good. Food was good. We had a great waiter the first night so we requested him every night. Cave tubing in Belize was fun. Loved swimming with the stingrays but Rum Point was a waste of ...

Embarkation and Disembarkation was the smoothest of any of the 11 cruises I have been on. Carnival is finally getting it right. Check in was quick because we picked up our Ship cards in our mailbox. . All the food was awesome. Did not go to any shows except comedians and some where better than others. Our ports were changed because of the Hurricane and all were enjoyable. Though Montego ...

Carnival did a great job of replacing our ports that had been damaged by hurricanes. We felt safe and enjoyed great weather and peaceful sailing. This was our 54th cruise and we rated it in the top five. The ship has been recently updated and was clean and well maintained. Our cabin steward, Carol, was pleasant and always willing to chat and go the extra mile to make sure we were happy. My ...
