This was my first cruise and I plan on calling my travel agent to book this cruise again and this time bring friends and family. The ship is beautiful, clean, enormous and fun. The ambassador of fun Big Sexy along with his sidekick are fun, warm and work hard to guarantee you have a wonderful experience. The ship is clean. My stateroom was wonderful. I had a window view. The room was quiet and ...
This was my 23rd cruise and my husbands 1st, I am 33 he is 38, we have no children and this was a do-over honeymoon, since we were just married 6 months ago in a destination wedding in Jamaica, I was itching to cruise after being landlocked for 12 days on one island! LOL
Embarkation was about 30 minutes and we were onboard, loading up the sign and sail with cash in a kiosk located on Deck 5, ...
This was our second cruise, and it was GREAT! Truly an enjoyable experience. I've read a few reviews from past cruisers on the Carnival Glory, so I had a pretty good idea what to expect. To anyone who has ever rated this ship a BAD experience, all I have to say is- What were YOU doing WRONG??? The Carnival Glory crew from room stewards, to dining staff, to anyone else on the ship are very ...
BACKGROUND: We drove to Norfolk, VA from upstate New York State to spend some time in Norfolk before the cruise. After calculating gas prices, airline rates, and hotel rates etc, it seemed we could drive down and spend 5 nights in motels at a slightly lower cost than taking a plane and renting a car. The scheduled itinerary was 2 sea days, Half Moon Cay, Freeport and then 1 sea day.
Intro: ...
Given the opprotunity to embark from our home town, Norfolk Va., we were excited to test the process. Again this was our 2nd cruise, the 1st being a 10 day to the Bahamas & Bermuda in 2010. We knew that this 5 day would be too short to enjoy but, were pleasantly surprised. We didn't have to leave super early to drive to Bayonne NJ, as this was a 6 hour drive. Plus the cost of parking at $20 per ...
Embarkation: Smooth. Although our parking lot was much farther away than last year (due to an impending arrival of another ship), the shuttle service worked out well. Check in was prompt.
Public Rooms: The rooms themselves were beautiful. My problem was that on vacation, my relaxation includes a good cigar now and then. On my last Carnival cruise (The Triumph), they provided the dimly lit, ...
This was a much needed, relaxing vacation. I have cruised both with family and friends and alone in the past. This time I was by myself and it was really nice.
I flew from Chicago to Charleston the day before and stayed at the Homewood Suites in Mount Pleasant. The hotel provided transportation from the airport and to the port the next day. There was a Target, restaurants and some little ...
I have cruised with Carnival one other time for my Senior class trip back in '92. This was my wife's first cruise. We really enjoyed the cruise, mostly good, a little bad. Let me get the bad out of the way first.
We had the worst day on the way to Norfolk. We were traveling from upstate New York to Norfolk, VA on train. Let me point out our bad travel experience had NOTHING to do with ...
We had never been on a cruise. We didn't know what to expect. This trip turned out to be great!
The staff were always very polite, helpful and smiling.
Our rooms were cleaned daily, trash emptied, beds made and pulled down, fresh towels put in, and those neat towel animals awaited us, nightly!
The food was wonderful, on every level. We ate at many buffets, we went to the main dining room a ...
Traveled on the Carnival Glory May 16'th out of Norfolk, VA. It was a very easy drive for us, being about 45 minutes east of Richmond. We arrived early, parked the car right across the street from the port ( much cheaper than the Carnival parking option) and got something to eat. The ship was late getting into port ( we didn't board till 3:00 pm!)I was a little irritated that we didn't get a full ...
