Carnival Glory- New Year's Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

I sailed on the Carnival Glory last week with my mom to celebrate the new year. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived to the port of Miami at 11:45 and were on the ship by 12:10, even though our assigned check-in window was 12:30-1. We always wear our swimsuits onto the ship so that we can take advantage of a near-empty pool. They were handing out free champagne on the pool deck, I am assuming ...

I went on this cruise with my 2 older children. I have never been on a cruise before but really enjoyed myself & will plan to go again. There was so much to do & see. I was impressed. I was disappointed that they cancelled so many excursions. They cancelled 3 of them on us. My daughter ordered glasses & a bag & never got them. I think they could’ve at least replaced what she ordered with something ...

We cruise with Carnival because we love Carnival. This is my 2nd Christmas cruise the first was on Vista. While on this cruise my mom became sick and their medical department (Michael) was amazing and took such great care of her. My mom travels with oxygen, c pap, and walking is hard, but she had a great time we rented a scooter and it was perfect. We had a room with a balcony, so she had a ...

We were very disappointed in the room we had while on board. I booked this trip in July of 2018. The room we received did not match the description of what the Carnival agent told us it would be. We spoke to customer care and they acted like it wasn't a big deal. They emailed corporate, no response back until the 7th day of the trip. The food selection on buffet was not good. Everyday you found ...

Chose this cruise mostly for the date it set sail. This was my first cruise. Carnivals staff were all very friendly and helpful. Was pleasantly surprised with the amount of activities to do on board .. Ship was very clean ,Hotels should be as clean . Food was great I liked that there was a variety of food to choose from. The chef and his team did an amazing job. Really enjoyed the ...

I chose this cruise because of price, itinerary, time of year and past experience. The ship is easy to get around. There did not seem to be long lines anywhere. Getting on and off the ship was easy and I used Carnival transportation to the debarkation airport. It was easy and arrived plenty of time to catch my 12:30 Miami flight home. The Playlist performers were excellent - don't miss ...

Itinary. Grand Turk, St Thomas, Amber Cove, SanJuan, all great places to visit. Eight adults and three kids in our party. As always Carnival crew did a great job. Grand kids had fun. Kids had fun. And my wife and I had great fun being with all the kids. I asked for a round table for eleven In the MDR. Disappointed they added a chair to a ten place table. A bit crowded at the table. Main ...

One thing that works on this ship is the a/c! We love the Punchliner comedy but it was so cold in the Ebony Cabaret you could hang meat in there, we could not bear to stay in there for the comedians. Room service was very late or non-existant! Saw our room steward, Antonio, on first day and never for the rest of the cruise. MDR menus seem to be scaled way down with fewer options. Buffet seemed ...

Not the best cruise I've been on

The food was not great, in fact as a foodie, I would describe it as mediocre. Dinner was best, but still not stellar, desserts were the best part of every meal. Even the kids thought it was gross. One of a small list of reasons we chose a cruise over a resort vacation was for the food. I've been on 5 cruises (my 2nd Carnival) and this was by far the worst food I'd ever had on a cruise, unless you ...

Carnival Glory -- a comfortable old shoe of a ship

WHY THIS CRUISE: We chose this ship/cruise primarily for the varied itinerary and number of stops in interesting places. My husband and I (in our 60's) had visited all the ports; my daughter and son-in-law had the fun of some new ports on this trip. OUR TRIP TO MIAMI: We drove down from North Carolina on Friday and stayed in the Sleep Inn, Airport. We've been there before and the hotel ...
