Oceanview stateroom with a private balcony and twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.
Our cabin never cooled down the whole cruise but our kids down the hall was freezing...weird sewer smell sometimes. Nice enough balcony cabin inside, awesome room attendant Read entire member review >>
The Cabin: again, it's what you make of it. I booked a balcony, I got a balcony. The furniture was cheap and clanky, but it was fine. Loud neighbors ? Sure, so what? An hour before dinner, why should one care. The AC had bushing problems, which I recited to Guest Services; fixed in an hour, while we were at dinner, so hey, again, that was good - they did what they should. Kudos to the Front Desk and the engineers. Read entire member review >>
Our room was wonderful. It was the most quiet room that we've ever had. The Spa Deck is the way to go! It is open above, which gave us a lot of nice sunshine. We did hear folks talking occasionally, but didn't see anyone and they couldn't see much of us either. I checked from the floor above our cabin and could only see about 2 inches of the balcony in front of our room's railing.
Last time we had an obstructed view cabin which obstructed our view much more than I'd been lead to believe and also had a weird smell in the afternoons like hot old paint or something.
This cabin was the best one yet. I'd be thrilled to book it again. Read entire member review >>
Typical Balcony. Nothing special. Wish the balcony had a roof, however, I did not consider that when booking this room. The one morning we intended to sleep in there was a terrible racket like they were jack hammering above our room. Started before 9am so we had no choice but to get up. Our room steward also commented on it and apologized, but he didn't know what was going on either. Read entire member review >>
Loved our cabin. It was near the elevators and the door leading out to the Lido Deck. Plus it was kind of tucked in a corner so we had more privacy. You did hear the elevators ringing from time to time but it was no big deal. Read entire member review >>
We chose to upgrade to a Spa Balcony room which happened to be on the 10th floor instead of the 11th. Not exactly sure what the difference was between ours and our neighbors which was a category 8E vs our 8F. The décor, like the rest of the ship was dated, but there was so much to do on the ship that we rarely spent any time in the room, and if we were in the room, we were on the balcony. Carnival does need to ensure that their guests know that smoking is prohibited on balcony rooms. We had to call on balcony smokers a few times to guest services, but towards the end of the cruise, it seemed as if people finally figured it out. While the balcony isn’t the biggest space, it did provide what we needed, a spot to sit, relax, and sip a few drinks as the ocean passed us by. Our cabin steward was cordial and friendly, although we rarely saw him, which isn’t a bad thing. Word to the wise, make sure to check your mini fridge bottles daily! We found ours opened and water put into them, could have been a costly mistake if we hadn’t. Overall, cabin was adequate, relatively comfortable, dated, but the balcony made the room. Loved this cabin. Spacious enough for our family of 4. Kids loved the bunkbeds, we had the 2 twins converted to a king. Very comfortable. Plenty of storage. Great balcony. bathroom was adequate. Very quiet floor. Read entire member review >>
This spa balcony cabin is the same size as the other balcony cabins. We went outside to the balcony when we arrived and I immediately had to peer around the divider to tell the people in the cabin next to us that smoking was not allowed on balconies, especially spa balconies. We could still smell smoke wafting up from the Lido deck throughout the cruise but that, I could ignore. There was also occasional noise (running, chairs being moved) from the Sun deck above us but nothing major. Overall, we liked this cabin. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 1110 Review
This was a balcony cabin and very quiet. The room roomy enough with a fairly large shower and bathroom. The balcony could fit two people comfortably and did not have an overhead which I liked because you got the sunshine during the day. The beds were very comfortable and the cooling worked great. This room would come highly recommended. Read entire member review >>
Mixed bag. GREAT location convenient to the buffet and pool. Little things need fixing: this cabin is right across from the steward's work room, so be prepared to hear voices and doors opening and closing early in the morning; the balcony door wouldn't completely latch, so you could hear the wind blow in and sometimes it would whistle like a child learning how to whistle (ERR! especially in the middle of the night); the third drawer wouldn't close all the way (the back of the drawer front hit the front of the bottom drawer); the access panel cover under the sink in the bathroom wasn't locked in place (it was kind of wedged in and could/would fall open at various times.
Bottom line, I would NOT recommend this specific cabin until it gets some much-needed TLC. I would highly recommend other cabins on this hall due to the convenient location. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was excellent. The deck 11 (Spa) was a smoking room...believe it or not. The deck 12 was an overlook as passengers gaped at you from above. Very little privacy. The Balcony accommodated 2 chairs and an end table. No room to layout. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 1112 is a nice four-berth balcony cabin, but (a) it's too close to the spa and Camp Carnival for noise purposes, (b) there is no overhang on the balcony, so in bad weather the balcony is unusable, and (c) the sliding door to the balcony is nice, but it slides with the ship's movement. Our room was fantastic. My husband had booked a fancier room for us because it was our anniversary. We had a king size bed, balcony, double sinks in the bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The tub was kind of small, but I expected that. The bathroom was lovely with granite and mosaic tile. The whole room was very pretty and very comfortable. The room was pretty quiet, except for some rude guests yelling in the hallway one night. But we heard no noise from the ship at all. Read entire member review >>
