The worst cruise ever

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Carnival Glory

We chose this cruise for it's itinerary. We had the Captain's Suite which is the highest category on the ship. It cost me $6800 for 5 days. I was told that we would not have a butler but would have a concierge....NOT. We had 5 people in the fairly spacious room. The master bathroom was in the hallway so we had no privacy. We had 3 glasses in the room and when I asked the room steward for more ...

Disappointing

I guess that I was led to believe a cruise was much different than what I experienced. I don't want to blame Carnival for the bad time that I had. I know that others had a great time. It must just be me. I want to rate a couple of things below: [1] Service (5/5) - I thought the service was top notch. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff was nearly perfect - asking just ...

This was the first cruise for my family of four. We were traveling with our extended family, which totaled to be a party of 9. I was surprised with how long and inefficient the embarkation process was at the Port of New York. It made me miss the airports! This really needs to be improved. However, after this bad experience, our cruise started out by sailing down the Hudson river, past the ...

Where to start... Carnival couldn't seem to get anything right. Dinner in the platinum dining room was so bad we did not go back after the 2nd night but quickly found the other dining options were also lacking. Night one our waiter valentine introduced himself. We had high hopes that were quickly dashed. 4 other people served water and bread and food. They did not introduce themselves. We ...

This was our 17th Cruise and never ever have we experienced such a mess as this cruise. To begin with, the ship did not arrive in Boston for embarkation until 9 or 10 PM on Sunday night. It was pouring rain, windy and in the 50's. 3,000+ passengers were locked out of the terminal and left to roam over Boston carrying luggage. We were told not to return to the terminal until at least 8:30 pm. ...

Definitely NOT a fun ship...more like NO FUN FOR KIDS ship

WHAT A JOKE...FUN SHIP?? Let me tell you. I cruised with the Carnival Glory and it was a nightmare. My children were treated like garbage. 1. Day 1--there was no day 1. Ship was being "repositioned". They knew that at least three months in advance. We were never informed the ship was going to be late for a third time that day. Instead, they corralled my family in a hotel lobby with ...

Carnival Cruise Nightmare Vacation

Sailing from 9/10/2011 to 9/17/2011 on the Carnival Glory was basically the worst vacation we ever had. My parents and I are very disappointed and upset. This is the 5th cruise we've taken, but the first on Carnival. Compared to its competitors, Carnival is by far the worst experience on all levels. The following is a summary of the major issues we had with our cruise: 1. Unsanitary ...

Worst cruise ever....

The Carnival Glory is the Walmart of cruise experiences. Just like Walmart, the cruise was offered at a "cheaper price" since having a New York City embarkation port saves me on airfare. Otherwise, the price was comparable to many other cruises I've done. However, the cruise just met the bare minimum of expectations for a cruise... kind of like it did with its sanitation report earlier this year. ...

It's the last dance

Well, we're probably the "odd couple" but we were very, very disappointed with this particular cruise. We prefer the casual mode of travel. After years of professional life it's nice to be able to kick back and travel light. However, on the Glory, this proved more of a challenge than a comfort. We usually enjoy meals on the Lido deck but, from our experience of this trip, the food offered on the ...
