Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Alrighty folks, here it is. Everyone elses reviews helped me to plan our cruise and had some very useful tips, so I hope that we can return the favor. My husband and I sailed on the Carnival Conquest around the Western Caribbean in a group of 10 friends (ages ranging from 7 years old upwards to 50 ish maybe. My husband and I are both 27 and had 2 similar aged friends that we were with. We live in ...

In short, I would recommend this cruise for the value, the convenience, and for the overall nice experience. The food was good, the ship is clean and comfortable (nice, roomy cabins)and the activities are just enough to keep you interested without leaving you out of breath. Living in Houston, we absolutely love departing from Galveston. It's a quick, easy trip, and embarkation/debarkation are ...

We drove from beautiful Mustang, OK to Galveston the day before the Conquest was set to sail. This was our first "big" family vacation with my DW, DD, 6 years old and DS, 3 years old. Traveling along in another car were our friends and their 6 year old daughter. We stayed at the Hilton along the beach in Galveston. The accommodations were nice though it was a bit unusual for all 4 of us to sleep ...

We took our two grandchildren, ages 13 and 15 and our son on a spring break cruise. We choose Carnival because of the location, closer to our hometown in the Pacific Northwest and of course the price. If you fly to Houston, fly into Hobby airport as it is closer than IAH. We rented a van from Hertz which accommodated all 5 of us with our 8 pieces of luggage and carryons. It was cheaper than ...

My parents (47) and I (26) sailed on the Carnival Conquest the week of 3/30/08. Before this trip, we had sailed with Carnival 2 times, once on the Ecstasy and once on the Conquest. I live in Houston and my parents live in Northeast TX, so they drove down that weekend and we then drove to the pier from Houston and parked at Lighthouse parking. They were great, fast and friendly service. It's also ...

Good ship, not-so-good ports!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Ecstasy

We were on the Ecstasy during Easter week. Unfortunately, the ship did not provide any type of Easter service as promised, so the holiday was just spent as a regular day at sea. We were please to not experience the college break crowd, as this week's cruisers were families. We always select the most economical cabins (no windows) but were pleasantly surprised by the large size of this ship's ...

Embarkation was outstanding since we arrived at the port around 11. There was basically no line and they let us get on the ship at 11:45. Well, this was our first time cruising on the Ecstasy...nothing looked really surprising since we had sailed previously on the Elation. Overall, my husband and I had a great time. We had high expectations when it came to the food because it was simply ...

My husband and I are baby boomers who recently got married. This cruise was to be our honeymoon. He had been on 2 prior cruises. I had never been on one. So I came on board with no preconceived ideas, unlike him. We arrived in Galveston the night before and stayed in a hotel. The next morning he dropped me and the luggage off at the terminal while he parked the truck in Lot B. Checking in and ...

We have cruised with Carnival three times prior to this cruise: Elation, Valor and Victory. We are in our sixties and have also sailed with Seabourn and Crystal Cruises. We drove to Galveston and ended up parking in Lot B. Getting in line and boarding was done very well and our wait was not long at all. We went directly to the Renoir dining room to change to the early dining since that is what ...

Okay, I admit it. This cruise exceeded my expectations. I was "forced" to go on this cruise as part of an extended family getaway. I had no say in the date, location, ship, etc. So—I went on this trip with some reservations. But, I was pleasantly surprised. I'll give you the positives and negatives first and then some tips for making it a good experience! Positives: - Room location on deck seven ...
