Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Not as Good as Expected!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Vista

We had not sailed aboard the Vista and wanted to try it out. This was my 16th. Carnival cruise. I had carried a book that I wanted to study and on sea days there was not a spot (even on our balcony) that was quiet enough. The music that was playing on the speakers in the Ledo dining areas was absolutely HORRIBLE. The food on the buffet was not as good as you would get at Luby's Cafeteria. Thank ...

We have cruised 8 times previously and on multiple lines including past Carnival, Princess, NCL, and Celebrity cruises. This is close to the bottom of all the cruises I have taken. However, let me through out a few compliments: 1. Lucky, our cabin steward was exceptional. Even more impressive is her recall of mine and my spouses name by face the second day of our cruise. 2. Simon the cruise ...

The staff was nice most of the time, the balcony room was fair. We only got a few channels on the TV, not that we were there to be watching TV but come on. The food was terrible!!!!! I was told that cruise line food was amazing, even the fine dining was not very good. Im sure I dropped some weight. The bar tenders are inconsistent my wife and I had the cheers package and some of them would ...

My mom and dad will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in three days. The only time I could get a large amount of time off work was around Christmas. This was our first cruise so we weren’t certain what to expect. When Carnival says a 7 day cruise, it’s a lie. You’re only on a cruise 6 days. The first day we spent getting up at 2 am, flying to Houston, riding an hour and a half to ...

If you are accustomed to a nicer cruising experience like Holland America and Celebrity you really should avoid Carnival. Service was subpar. Ship was not as well maintained as some of the nicer cruises. And the fellow passengers are not at all what we are used to. We treated ourselves to a suite and even though the room was spacious it was not well maintained, was not clean, and was unusually ...

We were lucky enough to have family harbor suites for breakfast and snacks. This ship may be the largest in the fleet...but its not in public space but in rooms they can pack on the boat. Hour long lines for food or anything...two tiny pools for five thousand people is not great. Food was ok at best when we had it from the buffet. Guys, pizza and the sushi was the best food we had we heard good ...

I selected carnival because I enjoyed the previous carnival cruises. This one was not what I expected. On previous carnival ships the atrium was amazing. This was the first thing you saw so you were in awe as you entered the ship. The Vista' s atrium was something you might see as you entered a medical clinic, not even as nice as a shopping mall atrium. Very disappointing. It took 5 days to ...

We saw a Smithsonian channel segment on new ships with Vista included. We live in Dallas so Galveston was convenient. This ship is bigger than other Carnival ships we have sailed on but it doesn't seem large inside. The atrium is a much documented problem. It is small, mostly bar, three stories with glass railings and bar stools at the railings to look down and watch-- what? In fact, this ...

Cons: Disastrous disembarkment Slow service at sandwich and coffee bars Buffet room personnel struggled with English Smoky casino Spa certificates expired before last day at sea Over cooked fish in dining room Dated cabins in need of refurbish Constant coercion to upgrade/upcharge Erroneous charges on Sail card that were not corrected Did I say disastrous ...

The VISTA was a bad experience for all..embarkation was a night mare...having priority boarding means nothing..you are part of the heard of cattle....the wait for a wheelchair was an hour....with no bathrooms available....once on the ship it took forever to get an elevator....some only went to the lido deck ...some stopped on the way down on 3..had to change elevators to go to lower floors.... The ...
