We had not sailed aboard the Vista and wanted to try it out. This was my 16th. Carnival cruise. I had carried a book that I wanted to study and on sea days there was not a spot (even on our balcony) that was quiet enough. We have cruised 8 times previously and on multiple lines including past Carnival, Princess, NCL, and Celebrity cruises. This is close to the bottom of all the cruises I have taken. However, let me through out a few compliments:

The staff was nice most of the time, the balcony room was fair. We only got a few channels on the TV, not that we were there to be watching TV but come on.

If you are accustomed to a nicer cruising experience like Holland America and Celebrity you really should avoid Carnival. Service was subpar. We were lucky enough to have family harbor suites for breakfast and snacks. This ship may be the largest in the fleet...but its not in public space but in rooms they can pack on the boat.
