Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Embarkation took about an hour and 15 minutes which was okay by me. Our waiters we good and friendly and our cabin steward was really great! He ALWAYS smiled and said hello to us in the hallways, even if he was busy working. The food was good, but it wasn't something that i would go on the line just for. The main dining room meats were tough, but everything else was good. The buffet good was ...

Unscheduled Last Minute Cruise to Nowhere

Review for a Cruise to Nowhere Cruise on Carnival Ecstasy

This ship was 2 days late returning to port because of hurricane Gustav. As a result, at least 50% of the folks cancelled their cruise and an e-mail with a $99 last minute cruise to nowhere caught DH's eye. He called and booked right away. The options were an assigned midship cabin or a guaranteed inside or oceanview (extra $20 per person) We opted for the latter, hoping to get an oceanview on the ...

Took advantage of a hurricane special. A half cruise to nowhere for 3 nights on the Ecstasy. We paid 99 dollars plus the normal taxes and fuel surcharge. The price was certainly right but the fuel surcharge should have been reduced. We cruised a few hours out of port and sat dead still in the water for the next 2 days. When we returned the people in Galveston told us we were anchored just ...

Embarkation We drove from San Antonio on Sat and went to the Astros game and drove to the port on Sun morning. We parked at Lighthouse parking which we have used many times and book on the internet for $50. Boarding was painless not because we are platinum and had VIP boarding but they have the system down very well. We got on board about 130 and went to our rooms on Veranda deck. We surprised our ...

We just returned from our First Cruise aboard The Ecstasy. It was a very positive experience. I would definitely go on a Carnival again. In fact we are in the process of planning another one. A few things I thought that I would like to note to someone taking a cruise. It was very cold through out the ship. I am always hot, and was surprised to be chilled. I suggest you take a long sleeved sweater. ...

Our family embarked on the "Vacation movie" Griswold Family vacation aboard Carnival Conquest. Anytime we get together it's sure to be madness and mayhem. Poor Carnival folks! (smile) We had two grandparents, three siblings and their spouses, and three grandchildren in our group and it was a lovely cruise. Parking Sunday morning we arrived at the parking lot where we had booked advanced ...

EMBARKATION - After several sailings from the Port of Galveston, I always found parking at the cruise terminal to be a total pain. This trip, we used Lighthouse Parking. I made the reservations in advance. The location was easy to get to and the staff was awesome. This is a much better option that parking at the cruise terminal. After a short wait to enter the cruise terminal building, we were ...

Arrival/Embarkation: We left on Friday the 13th and stayed the night at the Holiday Inn on the Seawall in Galveston. The next day we left our hotel around 11 and we parked at Lighthouse parking which was $30 for 5 days. They have 24 hour security and they're about 2 minutes from the port. A fast and friendly shuttle service is provided. Embarkation took about 10 minutes for us in the VIP check-in ...

We flew into the Hobby Airport at 12:30 am the night before our cruise. Since my cousin lives in Texas and planned on driving us to the port we didn't have to worry about hotels or transfers; we were able to stay at her house that night. We arrived in Galveston around 11:30 am and were on board by 12 or 12:30. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we made it through check in and to the Lido ...

We just returned from the 5/4/08 sailing of the Carnival Conquest and here's my take on it. We are a couple of baby boomers, live just north of Dallas, and love to travel (especially cruising). This was my 14th cruise and DH's 10th. Most of our cruises have been on HAL in a deluxe suite and our two previous Carnival cruises were out of Galveston, on older ships (Celebration and Jubilee) in ...
