Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Fun spring break on the Breeze!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Breeze

Our family of five has wanted to sail on the Breeze since sailing on her sister ship, the Carnival Magic, for a NYE cruise a few years ago. We drove down to the Port of Galveston for spring break with our three school-age children, ages 13, 10 and 7. Embarkation was very quick. I dropped off my husband and kids with our luggage at the porters, then parked the car at the Port of Galveston lot ...

Never been on spring break. Down to the last kid out of four. She's 14 and will be 15 next month. Told I would have a great time! It was okay when my husband wasn't freaking out about boys looking at our daughter. I had a great time and was able to relax when he was not around. My Daughter also had a great time and would have like to see the age grouping a little better. I was fine with it. ...

Great cruise ignore the negative reviews as usual

The food on the ship was better than the past Carnival Cruises, and better than I expected. The staff was great, the ship is a little smaller than other ships we have been on but it does not feel that way. Ignore the negative reviews I do not think some people can be pleased these days. Entertainment was very good as well. There are limited pools but there are adult only areas that help with the ...

Carnival Freedom, a fun ship!

I wanted to take my college granddaughter on her first cruise. I had been to these ports myself, and thought that they were ones she would enjoy. And, oh my goodness, did she ever! I was not too impressed with the food, but since we are southern and in to home cooking, that was not surprising. I love boarding with the choice time, and it was so much smoother that most boarding I have done. ...

Poor Treatment of Blacks

We cruised on the Carnival Freedom. The majority of the cruisers were from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. We had 7 days of country western music on all stages. It felt like a Donald Trump cruise rally. There was no diversity in the entertainment. We dined with another Black couple from Houston that we met on the cruise. We spent approximately $8000 on the cruise including matching Rolex ...

I chose this cruise because it was happening during my spring break at work. this was my 1st cruise. i sailed with a good friend from work. The carnival breeze crew was very friendly and helpful during my seven day cruise. The crew works together to keep the ship spotless. Cabins are cleaned early morning and your bed is turned down in the evening. room service was available and delivered at ...

Could be a lot better with minor improvements

Overall good experience, however, there were some let downs and areas of improvement. The experience we had in the comedy club when Manny Oliveira performed was very disappointing. He told unfunny low brow jokes for a few minutes, and then requested the houselights be turned on. He then began to harass the audience, making fun of invalids, and dry humping a male audience member to resemble ...

First time cruisers! A couple of tips!

We chose Carnival Freedom because its in Galveston and we live in Houston. Our kids are 19 and 21 and we couldn't believe we never got around to taking a cruise. So we booked for spring break week March 10-17th. We were supposed to check in to the ship with our luggage between 1:30 and 2:00pm. Someone told my husband it doesn't matter if your a couple of minutes late, so we arrived about ...

Ship was beautiful but lacked good service

Love the ship but it appeared service all around was not that good, We paid for the bottomless cheers for soft drinks and due to lack of help at Lido bar areas you literally waited 15-20 minutes each time to get service. There were numerous times when only one bar was open and 1 person working it. the staff would walk around asking if you needed anything but there was a couple of staff members ...

Disappointing

This was our 6th cruise with Carnival. We have never had a bad cruise and this one wasn't bad, it was just disappointing. I think the ship was too big for the amount of help they had on board. Movie nights were good if you didn't want a blanket or popcorn, because the lines were long or there was no one there to help. The ice cream stations were either empty of ice cream, cones, bowls or spoons, ...
