I'll start off by saying that this was my 12th carnival cruise, 13th overall (1 on RCL) and the Magic was truly AMAZING!! I have skimmed over the bad reviews and just rolled my eyes. Reading that there was no hot water, staff was/were/is rude was completly false!! We flew into IAH since i used my airmiles for United airlines and flying into Hobby was MUCH more expensive on southwest. from there ...

Magical Holiday Experience on the Carnival Magic

We booked the cruise directly through carnival.com in early November. If you don't remember the screen name I was the person that had a problem with the funpoints through Barclays. They resolved it to my satisfaction by honoring their own calculator after some corporate involvement. Anyway back to the cruise. Hotel Info: We stayed on the beach in Galveston very late Christmas night at the ...

We thoroughly enjoyed our Carnival Magic cruise - Costa maya, Cozumel, Progresso. Remember you are in a small room/cabin with limited drawer and hanging space....so pack 'lightly' as you won't wear half the clothes you put in your suitcase!!! We chose a room with a balcony and it was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. We dined each night in the Dining ...

Two cabins, 2415, Cove Balcony and 2455 Inside double Boarded 12/26/11 Western Carib 6 day Arrived at the pier 10:30 am, used Lighthouse Parking. Easy drop off, porters widely available, dropped off luggage and went inside terminal. All but one of us were Platinum, escorted quickly through security and into Platinum lounge. Awesome Cruise on the Magic!

We sailed the 12-26 cruise. The Magic is absolutely the most fantastic ship! We had a wonderful cabin on deck 1 category 6 which was a deluxe outside. I loved having the extra bath with the tub complete with heavy bathrobes. It was located conveniently to the elevators. The food at the Northern Lights dining room was beyond wonderful and the service was impeccable. We chose the early seating ...

We had a ball on the Magic

We had a ball on the Magic, we are seasoned cruisers (24) Azamara, Celebrity, Princess, etc. etc. but did not attempt to compare this ship to any of the so called "luxury" lines, you get what you pay for.....sometimes. The ship does have a few kinks to work on, i.e., buffet flow was not good, the photo shop process was atrocious, someone needs to work on improving this process immediately, ...

Christmas Cruise on Carnival Magic

This was our first booking in an inside cabin (we've previously booked in both Oceanview and Balcony). We chose one on the Lido deck as we thought it would be more convenient for the pools and the buffet. It was, but we also had to deal with being on the 10th deck and the ship movement up there. Probably will book a lower deck next time. Biggest change for us was the new style bathroom. The ...

Great Family Experience

Well first I have to start with the fact that this was my first cruise so I really didn't have anything to compare it to. Although I have MANY friends who have cruised MANY times and I did extensive research myself prior to this cruise so I feel I was pretty much prepared. We booked this cruise a year in advance so I had PLENTY of time to research and read the reviews. Initially the reviews I ...

Interesting Cruise on Magic

This was my third cruise overall, second on Carnival. The Magic is very similar to the Conquest. The layout is basically the same...same lobby layout, same dining room locations, same comedy club location, same casino, etc. The differences were the serenity area and the pool area was a little different. Plus the decor was different (Conquest was actually nicer with the murals on the glass ...

Carnival Magic Dec 18, 2011 - Dec 26, 2011 Me and my wife went with 10 relatives Cabin 6491 aft over the Spotlight Lounge (deck 5) (wife review) We booked a family vacation on the Magic for Christmas. The first thing that struck me was how large the ship was. I have cruised on the Conquest and the Ecstasy before and this ship dwarfs them both. As we were boarding I experienced first hand ...
