Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Love to cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Magic

I love to cruise! We sailed Magic last December and enjoyed every minute. This cruise was stressful. Too many people cruising with too few people to meet the demands of the people on the cruise. The stewards and others seemed to not be motivated, seemed not to be happy in their jobs, and careless with their tasks. (one person in particular was always leaning on her mop and would swipe it ...

This is a long review. I feel like I got a lot of great information from other detailed reviews I read on here so I'm trying to pay it forward. Backround Information - My husband and I are 27 and 26, in our first year of marriage, no kids. He is a first time cruiser and I went on one as a teenager with my family. Ship Info - Carnival Magic is huge. There seemed to be lots of elevators to ...

This is a review our 20th anniversary cruise. While we have cruised over 20 times in our years together, this was our first cruise without the kids in more than 7 years. It also had been over 2 years since last cruise (a considerable dry spell for us) and 3 years since our last Carnival Cruise. Needless to say, we were primed to have a fantastic time as a couple and we certainly did. We ...

First off, a little background on our family and friends. Altogether, we traveled with 18 people in total (10 adults, 8 kids ranging from 6 months to 4 years) with about half of them having cruised before. Our family consists of myself, wife, 2 toddlers (4 and 2) and a baby (6 months). If there was one run-on sentence to sum up our trip, it would be: that it was fun, the boat was OK BUT ...

A Magical Perspective

My wife and I got back a little more than a week ago from our trip on The Magic. After reading other reviews, I have to wonder if we were on the same ship. If you are a pissy person in everyday life, no cruise line is going to change that. Magic is in the eye of the beholder sometimes, so here's my view with some helpful tips. As we live really close to Galveston, it was our best choice. We ...

Wife and I started cruising in 2007 in memory of my mother who when visiting her in NY in her last years, would always tell us to take a cruise instead of us visiting her at hospitals on every one of our vacations. After she passed away in 2006 we booked a cruise for her 1 year anniversary (Sept' 2007) and we were hooked. The following year we took our oldest son (Michael) and as a graduation gift ...

Not as Magical as you think...

My wife and I recently cruised along with her family of ten. This was my first cruise while my wife has also cruised on the Carnival Conquest. The cruise was at full capacity, with over 4,400+ passengers along with 1,600+ crew members. Although the ship is one of the biggest in Carnival's fleet, it was extremely crowded. Many times we were stuck in crowds because of the lack of space in the lobby ...

Background - I live in Phoenix and my children live in Texas. We picked this cruise because the other cruises (2) that my children (14 & 17 years old) have been on have been on the west coast, both departing from Los Angeles. The first was going to the Mexico, it was changed because of the Swine Flu Epidemic. We ended up going to San Francisco, Portland & British Columbia. We were on Royal ...

Carnival Liberty: YES, PLEASE!

Taking a plane from Dallas,Texas to Miami, Florida was definitely a boring experience! Embarkation: As recommended from a family friend, we brought our own 16 pack of water. Bad idea. The line was VERY long, but it went by within 45 minutes. Having to constantly stop, put the water case down, start, and pick it up is very tiresome. Overall very quick and easy, (be prepared to have your picture ...

I sailed on the Magic for the first time the last week in June. This marks my 6 Carnival cruise, 3 on the Conquest and 2 on the Celebration. I have never written a cruise review before, but felt compelled to after this last cruise. There were some things that I liked and then some things not so much. First, the embarkation. The traffic getting to unload luggage at the ship was pretty bad. A bigger ...
