Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Magic

From booking, airport transfer, and embarkation to debarkation, we had a great time on Carnival Magic and plan to cruise again. As with all things in life, everything was not PERFECT 100% of the time, but Carnival met or exceeded my expectations in most areas and we had a blast! First off, let me say Carnival was a good cruise line for a beginner. The customer service agent from Carnival who ...

I am writing a review before I finish unpacking from our 2-10 cruise to the Eastern Caribbean from Galveston on the Carnival Magic. Rates for this cruise were a little lower than other weeks in the late winter/early spring time period and we took advantage of that fact to book an aft wrap on deck 6. Cabin 6470 is an aft wrap, otherwise known as a premium vista balcony on the port side of the ...

Carnival Magic: Fun Ship, Good Value

Let me start by admitting that I'm a bit of a cruise snob. I've been on many different cruise lines from the 160 passenger Windstar to the 6000+ passenger Oasis of the Seas -Royal Caribbean's largest ship that has yet to be matched in size. My preference would be to take Oceania cruises every time for the food and service as well as the low key atmosphere. Unfortunately my tastes and resources ...

First off, I have to start by stating that the entertainment staff really made this an extraordinary cruise for my family. I could list them each with a great story of how they really made this a special cruise. I was sad to hear that it was the end of most of their contracts. I'd go back on the Magic just for the top notch entertainment staff. My only negative comment regarding this ship is ...

Carnival Magic- Almost Great

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Magic

Carnival, as always, supplied a consistent "good value for the money" cruise. The Magic is a beautiful clean ship that for the most part absorbs people very well. Our only major concern was the service in the main dining room. Food was fairly good, but on most nights you can expect to wait up to 45 minutes between the appetizer and main course and another half an hour for your desert. Looking ...

Where to begin? The embarkation process was very good. The lines moved smoothly and we received assistance because my wife walks with a cane. That was certainly appreciated. And I appreciate the changes that have been made to the life boat drill. Sitting in a restaurant and listening to a briefing is better than standing on the promenade deck wearing a life jacket. After that, things got a ...

Arrived early at port and embarkation process very quick for Priority and looking at the regular line, that also moved well. Agent could not find our Sign and Sail (not in envelope) and issued us a Pier Pass. Were told to see customer Relations on the ship for a regular card...we did but were told to come back later as they were still uploading current cruise information. Returned 2 hours later ...

Carnival Magic - Not What I expected

Let me start off saying that even with the rainy days, we had a overall enjoyable cruise. It was relaxing and the snorkeling in Roatan was fabulous. We sailed out of Galveston on January 20th. 2013. For me the Magic is too big. that extra 1000 people over the Conquest made a big difference. The service in the main dining room was very disappointing. Our food server and her TWO helpers ...

Relaxing time on the Magic

My husband and I and our two friends arrived in Galveston on a rainy Sunday at noon. The two guys dropped us off with the luggage and went to park at EZ parking. We got in line and quickly moved into the building. The guys joined us just as we got into the building. The line moved quickly and in no time we were checking in. We were on the ship before 1:30. We dropped off our bags at our cabin and ...

My Wife and I decided to try this new ship. Boarding was easy as we passed regular cruisers in the VIFP line and got on the ship in 10 minutes. The food was great on the ship. The buffet was good but always very busy. The Red Frog beer was good and so was the snacks offered for $3.33 . The only negative comment about the cruise was how rough it was sailing out of Galveston. The day and night ...
