Carnival Galveston Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Vista

This was a last-minute cruise for my husband and me. My mother-in-law had recently passed away, so we joined 8 other family members who had booked months earlier. We thought it might be nice to be together and celebrate her life. We chose an ocean view cabin. Usually we do balcony, but for the price, we thought we would try it. It was not bad at all. The window had a very deep windowsill that ...

Fun, Clean, Terrible Food and service

I haven't been on a cruise for7 years and cruising has changed and not for the better.. The room was clean but they only come in once and only throw away what's in the garbage can. No picking up any empty bottles or cans placed next to it. The food was terrible. The steakhouse was good but I ordered the bone in Ribeye, it was good but no bone. My wife ordered a glass of pinot grigio. She ...

Just back from a 5-day Galveston to Costa Maya and Cozumel. Doing the homework is necessary, especially if you are a newbie cruiser. I've done 5 cruises across the cruise lines (mainly Carnival) and still did the homework, as it had been a while. Pros and cons in no particular order...forgive the rambling-Long post to follow: Get to town the day before!! I think it gets said plenty, but ...

Overcrowded everywhere on ship

Let me start by saying the staff on the ship is very friendly and helpful. The ship public areas and the cabins were very clean. I am also aware that there were over 3000 guests onboard, but Carnival did very little to utilize the ships size and public space to make the atmosphere less like a day at a ballpark than a cruise. (Deck 5 aft on the outside deck is probably the best place to get a ...

This was my 5th cruise with Carnival. I have always had the best time and best service with Carnival. This time the service was not up to par. I do understand the staffing issues due to "covid" but the main issue was the waitstaffs attitude. Only a handful were nice. Our room staff was outstanding and there was one particular bar staff that worked in the main atrium with blond hair. She was ...

This was as described. Mostly Americans from the south on board. Very casual. Despite dining room dress code, people in shorts, bathing suits, and baseball hats. Lots of drinking and people complaining about being cut off after 15 drinks per day. People standing in the pools all day drinking. Hardly a mask in sight except the staff. I was not one of the smart few wearing one and I brought ...

My Carnival Dream Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Do not get me wrong, I ENJOYED my 6 day cruise on the Carnival Dream. However, Carnival does compete with "land side" vacations that I perfer to enjoy simply on 1 ISSUE. I want choices ALL DAY LONG on where to eat. At dinner time, If I want Guys Pig and Anchor.....I want Guys Pig and Anchor and if I want a sit down lunch in the main dining hall....thats what I want and can get "Land ...

Understaffed!!!

This was one of our worst cruises, of our 26 cruises on Carnival. Embarkation was a Zoo! As Platinum, we were in group “A01” for boarding (first after Diamond and Suites). However, the staff called A01, followed by the next FIVE groups within a minute. This caused a mad rush for the entry stations. When we got onboard, we went directly to our Muster Station, as request by staff. However, no ...

Well of course we picked this cruise because of the price, and for the most part it was a very relaxing experience. The food was really good, and yes the burgers are a must eat. There were over 3 thousand on board but still plenty of room to accommodate most everyone. The absolute worst part is trying to get off this boat, we have been waiting over 4 hours and not even close to getting off. ...

Mediocre at best

Very disappointed in this cruise experience. This was our 3rd cruise with Carnival and we were not impressed. First of all, the positive: We got there before our boarding time, prepared to sit and wait, but they were not busy and motioned us to go ahead and board. They even let us put our luggage in our cabin, even though the cabins were still being cleaned. We were boarded, luggage in cabin and ...
