Debarkation was Terrible

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Breeze

We sailed Back-2-Back on the Carnival Breeze from Galveston on 26 Aug to 4 Sept. We had a balcony (12042) on the 12th Deck, a great location close to the pool, Serenity area and Cloud 9 Spa, and the Dive-In movies. The balcony is not covered. Your cabin is serviced only once a day, ice is filled twice a day. The virtual muster drill is very easy, and the ship is beautiful. Traveling with ...

Attitude and water

My wife forced me into this again but I was pleasantly surprised of how amazing 99% of the crew is so far. However one bartender hassled my wife over a bottle of water. She’s gold almost platinum and it astounds me how one person could put an unnecessary scar on your business. Seems to me clean drinking water is essential. She even has an unlimited drink card. She will not complain because she ...

Second sailing from Galveston 2021

Booked a mere 6 weeks prior to sail date, which is a very short lead up time for us. We had sailed on the Panorama in February 2020, returning 4 weeks before the shutdown, and had no plans to book anything else until things got back to "normal" (whatever normal is going to be now). We drove down to Galveston the day before embarkation (we live 20 miles south of Dallas, not far from I-45, so the ...

Getting Back to Sea post Rona - Good effort and a few bumps in the road

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Breeze

We booked one of the initial trips out of Galveston being that we were in desperate need of a getaway as was most everyone else. I have to day that Carnival made a good effort. Embarkation - as might be expected, this was not a highlight. However, there were some unforced errors. The process of screening vaccination cards reminded me of a bad day with Russian customs. In particular, there ...

Celebrating my Birthday with my Family

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Freedom

The last dinner (Valentine’s Day) with my family was almost ruined by our waiter... He forgot a lot of items ordered and got most of the Entrées completely wrong. He was too busy talking to the table full of ladies instead of giving his full attention to our table. But other than that everyone (expect for the last waiter) on the ship was great. Rooms were clean, Hallways were clean, and Restrooms ...

Just complete a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Freedom, Feb, 2nd-9th 2020 this was my 3rd cruise on the Freedom. The Freedom is beginning to show it age the upper deck track need to be resurfaced, I notice several area where what appear to be some sort of access panel where rise or maybe the painted surface was loose. We drove to the Port as we are from the Midwest. We parked at Lighthouse parking and have the last few times we have sailed from Galveston. It is much smaller, but I've never had to wait a long time for a shuttle. We purchased Faster to the Fun and went from the parking shuttle to boarding in under 20 minutes. Honestly, if we didn't want to get off the ship quickly, we wouldn't have needed to ...

My husband and I sailed for the second time on the Carnival Dream, stateroom category 8B, room 6318. The ship had just returned from an altered itinerary due to fog, and so hadn't been in port for several days. As such, she was in need of a thorough cleaning outside: all outside windows and balconies were filmed over with salt and tough to see through. The inside of the ship was pristine; I seldom ...

Good cruise, terrible cabin

We chose this because it was kid friendly and last minute time off from work. I picked a suite. Even though it was on the lower level I felt a little better just because we were bringing a two year old with us and he’s a climber. Everyone is very nice on the Vista and the older portions of the craft were being maintained properly it feels like. I have one very very large complaint!!!!!!! The ...

Some of the best service experienced on a Carnival cruise

First of all the ship may be older but it was definitely clean. There were staff everywhere cleaning the windows, bannisters, up on the Lido, etc. Everyone had a smile, Our dinner service was amazing. We were scheduled for anytime dining. We sat at table # 100 in the Crimson Restaurant. We were served by Richard, Alberto and Lorenz. Richard was the lead waiter and managed our table service ...
