We cruise from Galveston every couple of years because it is easy. First embarkment and disembarkation was great! Port Canaveral is a great spot. The cruise was on Carnival. If you expect lectures and a large library on board, boy did someone sell you the goods.

Most frustrating was the FOG delay at Galveston. We lost 1.5 sailing days and then were delayed 6 hours disembarking. In these 'modern' times I would have expected the ship and shore to synch up with radar ( perhaps buoys too) and come right in. Silly? I don't know we have Mars rovers we can communicate with, driverless cars, etc.

We choose this cruise for two reasons: New Year's Eve and leaving from Galveston which is a day's drive for us. We have been on only one other Carnival cruise on the Breeze.
