Overall, we didn't enjoy it. I don't recommend Carnival.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

We just got back from our cruise (Galveston-Cozumel-Progresso) and it was a bit disappointing. Being a first-time cruiser, I really didn't know what to expect from our cruise but I truly WANTED to like it. It was our honeymoon, a gift given to my husband and I by my generous in-laws. Everyone we talked to beforehand seemed to gush the "you'll love it" refrain, so we had no reason to assume ...

Disappointed with the Freedom

We used my wife's retirement bonus to take our children and grand children on a family cruise, before we are unable to travel in our later years. The embarkation went good for a change. The ship was not nearly as nice as I had been lead to believe. Two of the elevators did not work the entire cruise, our bathroom smelled like urine for the cruise, we were told this normal, which I know is not ...

Very Disappointed With Our 1st Cruise on Carnival

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Breeze

The basic summary is VERY POOR customer service and quality of service provided to the guests. 1. Boarding was shutdown right as we were getting to the security checkpoint with no explanation or communication given. We were at a complete stand still for a long time. Simply keeping us informed as to why everything was shut down would have gone a long ways. 2. Finally got on board and was ...

Carnival travel services was horrible and ship needed to go to drydock sooner!

The 100K slot tournament was the reason I did this particular cruise. I usually love Carnival but this trip wasn't as much fun from the start. Needed to use their travel services because of the slot certificate and was sorely disappointed. They made not one, but 3 major errors with our airline tickets and couldn't understand that there were 3 different times they made errors and not just one. ...

Princess is still my favorite

I'll start by saying we are elite status with Princess. We kept an open mind on this 5 day Carnival cruise. ROOM Balcony room was as expected. Bathroom small but shower larger than Princess. Never had to worry about water on the floor. Towel were nice but bed linens were very worn. The first night I discovered "stains" on the sheets. So gross, I slept on the couch. Steward changed ...

I have been on many many carnival cruises in fact i have been on 18 of them and on many of there ships, I was so disappointed with this ship first there was not an adult pool and there were so many kids that you could not even get in a pool and the hot tubs were all filled with kids even on the serenity deck the hot tubs were crammed with people. The deck chair were so dirty with stains and dirt ...

HIGHLIGHTS First, I would like to preface my remarks by giving high marks to Francisco and Gregory (our waiters in the Posh Restaurant), as well as our steward, Ida. The Posh Restaurant was the highlight of our cruise. My husband and I enjoyed every meal. Ida, our steward really helped to make things easier. We were in cabin 8444. He is an angel. This cruise, on CARNIVAL FREEDOM began ...

A week of standing in line...

We chose this cruise for a spring break family vacation. This was our first family cruise and we (the adults) were very disappointed. We felt that we spent the entire week standing in line. Whether it was waiting for mediocre food, or disembarking at port, the lines were awful. It took us an hour of being squished in a stairwell to exit the boat at each port. The lines were poorly organized and ...

So-so food, leaky room, and bad customer service

My wife and I chose this trip as a get away for the two of us. It fit our schedule and we had been on one carnival cruise before (Triumph after refurbishment) which we loved. 1. We made on to the ship easy (faster to the fun) we had a deluxe ocean view room (9201). It was rainy the day we got on and our windows were leaking and had left a puddle inside the room. Called down and was told it ...

Dark, Dirty and in Desperate Need of Dry Dock

We really liked our stateroom (a very dated but not worn, roomy 4J with window and large bathroom and easy access to the "secret deck"--we booked an inside GTY so this was a bonus), our stateroom attendant, Guy’s Burgers, the photo backgrounds and the Serenity Deck. The adults only pool was also good and not over run with children on the day the big pool was closed. We enjoyed the two ...
