I booked this cruise because it went to Key West. Getting off the ship in Key West was terrible, the line was extremely long. They should have let people with early exercusions off first. The rest of the ports had two gang ways open which made it go smoother.
I have been on the Magic before and the ship is much better.
The food was average. The steak house that you pay extra for was not ...
We chose this cruise for the opportunity to take our 7 and 8 YO granddaughters on their first cruise over Mardi Gras break (Louisiana residents). We had no issues with the Valor vs. Liberty swap, both were new to my wife and me although we'd previously sailed the Conquest so were comfortable with the class. Our cabin, 7397, on the Empress deck was quiet with respect to neighbors, above, below ...
Hi all, I'm writing this quick review to point out some highlights and changes that i've noticed since I last cruised.
Hope it helps! Feel free to ask any questions.
Day 1: Muster stations have changed a bit. You don't need to take your jacket but you definitely need to get to the right spot. Staff will ask for 1 card per stateroom and swipe it thru their hand held tablets to check you in. ...
This cruise had a water park with slides, climbing wall, putt putt, an ice cream shop, etc. we were disappointed to know there was no climbing wall and only one slide ( which was rarely open). There was a kid area but nothing like pictures. The cherry on top ice cream/candy shop was tiny and had no ice cream. Even on the boat in the gym they showed pictures of the boat and the pictures had to have ...
First off, let me start by saying, I'm a new mom again suffering postpartum depression and anxiety and this cruise was supposed to be a little getaway for me and my family to just enjoy ourselves together but to be relaxing also. This cruise was anything but that and really just wasn't what I was hoping for.
After cruising on the big ships, we were excited to try the smaller Valor, but never ...
I have been on other carnival cruises. We have been on the Triumph and the Dream and enjoyed them. The Valor should be melted down for razor blades. Better yet, send it back to the port it was originally in before coming to Galveston. Very disappointed with this ship.
The hot food at the buffet was cold. I complained about this to the wait staff in the kitchen, however it was over looked. ...
Carnival is one of the worse Cruise Lines to travel on unless you are traveling to get trunk and pay for overprice drinks. This boat is poorly laid out, and the itinerary is less to be desired. The events are poor planned and the entertainment is that of High school productions. The ship is not laid out to be wheelchair friendly. They do not cater to large parties. The Salon is misleading asking ...
This was our third Carnival cruise. We chose this date because it fell on our anniversary and we want to try cruising during more of an "off" season. Galveston is relatively close to our home, about 10 hours away so we made a 7 day vacation out of a 5 day cruise. This was also our first 5 day cruise, our past cruises have been 7 day. It was pouring down rain on our embarkation day which was pretty ...
My sister-in-law and I were celebrating our birthdays with a Carnival Valor cruise out of Galveston, Texas. This one was perfect for us. With the "Faster to the Fun" option our embarkation was quick and easy. We were settling into our spotless cabin within a half hour. We had time to explore before sailing. We chose the late dining time which allowed us the time to relax and refresh before ...
This was our third cruise so we've had our feet wet but haven't seen it all, although that's the plan! The ship was in good condition as it is fairly new. Food was hit and miss. Some things amazing, some things cafeteria style. That is to be expected on a cruise and AI though. Get your deck chair on lido by 8AM at the latest or you can forget it. The serenity deck was nice and had more seating ...
