I have cruised Carnival, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Princess. Overall, the best bang for the buck is Carnival. The last cruise I took was on Royal's Oasis of the Seas. It was a beautiful ship....but the food was terrible, the crew was not friendly at all, and the food areas were never bussed or cleaned.....there was constantly a pile of used dishes and trays on tables. That Royal cruise cost ...
We chose this cruise to fit our spring break plans. 5 days gave us time to get back home and get ready for the next school week.
We have been on many cruises, including the Magic, The Ecstasy, the Triumph and now the Valor. The Valor is a nice ship for her age, except I'm not excited about all the "heads" everywhere.
The cabin was great and our steward, Santiago, did a great job. ...
We really liked our stateroom (a very dated but not worn, roomy 4J with window and large bathroom and easy access to the "secret deck"--we booked an inside GTY so this was a bonus), our stateroom attendant, Guy’s Burgers, the photo backgrounds and the Serenity Deck. The adults only pool was also good and not over run with children on the day the big pool was closed. We enjoyed the two ...
This was our first cruise on Carnival and to the Caribbean. Found the ship to be well cared for, clean and well maintained. We were disappointed with the Atrium as it felt very confining. No windows looking out to the sea and no open area above as with other ships on other cruise lines. Our balcony cabin was standard with other cruise lines except I wish they would put the bed on the inside of ...
We were so excited to go on a cruise with my sister and her husband for the first time and see other parts of the world.
The excitement went out the window the next day when there was nothing for us to do except: gamble, drink, play bingo, go upstairs by the pool exercise,or listen to sales pitches on what and where to buy jewelry.which I did buy a couple of pieces..... but where was the good ...
Carnival's reputation made us avoid them for 35 years, but heard a positive report recently and gave in so we could drive vs. fly.
FOOD: I have always said I'm not particular about my food; that I like almost everything. Give me a cold piece of fried chicken and I'm happy. I like vegetables crisp or soggy, ditto salad lettuce. I'm the ultimate easy guy to cook for. Carnival's dining room ...
This was my second cruise with carnival. The kids club was fantastic and we loved each individual that was within the kids club. Our cruise started off with what was suppose to be a stop in Key West, but due to winds we could not stop. This obviously was out of Carnivals hands. They done well to be sure and have shows and other things to pass the time the best they could. With high winds, the boat ...
This was a great deal for the cost. Embarkation was very smooth. We had a 1:30 boarding time. Last year we had the same time and had to wait a while before boarding. This time there was no line. Our cabin was ready when we boarded. Our cruise was 7 days & was supposed to have 3 stops. Due to weather conditions (very windy and waves were very rough), we weren't able to stop in Key West, but they ...
My wife and I went on the 5 day cruise from 2 march 2017 to 6 march from Galveston, TX to Cozumel Mexico on the Carnival Valor. Being our first cruise, we only had information from our many family and friends on what to expect. Nothing eventful happened during the boarding process. We continued to the Lido deck for lunch. The only time a waiter outside of the dining room offered us drinks was ...
Went cruising with six adult family members. Found everything to be just wonderful - service-food-entertainment. Hardly stood in any lines - ate at most of the restaurants - including two for fee spots. Food and service great! Cruise beverage package a must!
Serenity deck is the must go to spot for adults! Lido deck way too loud with too many kids out of control!
The entire experience ...
