Carnival First-Time Cruisers Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Ok - Seemed like Carnival Went Downhill

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

We chose because it was West Coast (easier for traveling for us from AK) and week before Spring Break. The food quality has gone down tremendously. The service was good and entertainment ok but if you aren’t a late owl be prepared to miss most deck or theme parties since they all started at 10:30 or 11pm. The 15-17 age group seemed like they didn’t do much to engage kids together and my ...

A very nice ship that is hampered by poor main dining food and a feeling of everything costing extra.

The ship layout is great and there seems to be plenty of rooms and seats all of which were quite comfortable. The cabin was clean enough (we did notice a layer of dust on a few surfaces in the room though). And everyone we talked to about their rooms thought they were nice and quiet. They have done well with the insulation in these rooms! The buffet and the MDR had amazing service but ...

Not as good as in the past

Fourth time on this ship, and the last. Most things were the same, but some worse than in the past. Cabin was clean and service good. The shows as usual were very good. The cruse staff especially a lady maned Queen Mary was very good. Deon the CD very energetic, but not super friendly. Food was mediocre, not as good as in the psdt. Dinner service was very good. The worst was breakfast. ...

Never Again

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

All and all a good value for your dollar. Good service staff. The issues remain in the nickel and dime and remaining at the mercy of a non-American staff who for the most part are excellent but not that good in the event of issues. Dining room offers decent food that’s included. Much of the food is average to sub-par. Ship filled to maximum capacity and crowded. Port destinations were Puerto ...

Let me preface this. We enjoyed the cruise and had a lot fun. Keep in mind all the prices I quote here are criminally jacked up spring break prices. Sometimes I wish my kids were home schooled just to be able to take off peak vacations sigh. And all of the cruise staff was beyond wonderful and hard working and great and should be paid the lion share of the profits (tho they probably aren't). Keep ...

Enjoyable cruise to Mexico, glad we went, satisfactory but not stellar.

My wife and I booked the 7-day Mexican Riviera Cruise on the Carnival Panorama out of Long Beach, CA, joined by 2 adult family in a separate stateroom. We’re retired and looked forward to spending some time together visiting, relaxing, eating, drinking, swimming, gambling, shopping and seeing some of the sights as we traveled the Mexican Riviera. We flew into Long Beach Airport and took a $35 XL ...

Summary: - not-acceptable-bad: buffet food choice is extremely limited, comparable to the low cost buffet on land. - not-acceptable-bad: toilet is extremely small , high health risk if you use public bathroom - good: MDR is doing ok, about average restaurant level. - very good: show is good. - good: entertainment is plenty but most for kids - overall: compare with my previous ...

Not a baby or toddler friendly ship

We went on the carnival panorama cruise for an extended family Christmas vacation. There were 3 things that were extremely frustrating as a mom of 3 children. 1. There are absolutely NO CHANGING TABLES or stations for babies around the cruise ship. Multiple times I changed my 1 1/2 year old child on the floor in a hallway or a corner of a room. The bathrooms don’t even have a small counter to ...

Very Friendly Crew, Great Amenities, but this ship needs to be renamed the Carnival Slamorama

We have cruised on many different Carnival ships over the past few years and have a broad range of experiences with different cabin classes and the amenities and layouts of both their older and newer ships. We stayed in a balcony cabin this time around and as Gold VIFP members, got the almost zero perks our class of membership gets. After sailing 50 nights over the last few years, we still have 25 ...

To start off getting on the boat was awful!! Longest lines and what was the point of verifly if they had to review all your documents at 3 separate locations it was ridiculous waiting hours in line to wait in 3 more looking at the same stuff! Finally get on the boat and our refrigerator never worked the entire time and neither did the on demand movies. We bought the bottomless bubbles package and ...
