Ocean View (6C) Cabin Reviews

Great Time : Cabin R170
Sail Date: April 2019
Only 1 electrical outlet so bring splitter and extension cords and you'll be fine. No fridge, brought a collapsible cooler and tipped the steward and there was ice in it every day.

We had a small cabin with the ocean view. With two people and a LOT of luggage, we still made it work out. One item I missed in our room was the large floor length mirror. Plenty of closet space to hang clothes with plenty of hangers, if you don't bring yours. Also several drawers to put items in as well. The bathroom does not have much space to put your toiletries, so one of us put our items in the bathroom, the other one put items on the large dresser. You will have to ask for a robe and ice, if you want those from your room steward who was Wayan for us, and we really liked him. I know you are to use the towels they give us to use sparely, but he was always changing them every day, which we appreciated! Nice safe to keep anything of value there. We put our luggage under the bed. Our toilet stopped up, as well as when we came back from our tour, the bathroom was flooded. The card to the safe we used was lost, and when we called for help, they were there to take care of these situations within 30 minutes or less. My favorite part of the cabin (I found out others at our table felt the same way) is the bed with the covers. It is MORE than great! Read Less

Right near front elevators. Room was clean. Windows do have lots of sea spray on them but that's to be expected.

Someone posted a youtube video of this cabin which was helpful. I was nervous about booking an outside "guarantee" and I was anxious to see what cabin we would get and I had to wait until about 30 days before sailing to find out. They didn't contact us to tell us our cabin, but I discovered it by constantly checking my booking on their website. U29 was our cabin and it was just fine for us. Being fairly forward, we did hear a few bangs (I assume they were waves) and the thrusters woke us up about 6:30 to 7 am every morning as we docked. The showers are a little bigger than other ships, but the room was pretty much the same as other Carnival ships. Windows were always well salted and never washed (except by a passing rain shower). The mattresses seemed rather worn and uncomfortable. Even though I had read there was no fridge and brought a soft sided cooler to help, I struggled to keep drinks cold as the cooler was inadequate and when I asked for ice, we just got a simple plastic bucket of ice with no lid, so we quickly had water more than ice. Our steward tried to help by putting ice in the cooler but it leaked onto his towel and stained it. I gave up on our cooler and settled for the bucket and the steward started bringing ice twice a day. Just seemed like a hassle for him and us. If there's no fridge they should provide a cooler or at least an accessible ice machine down the hall. Read Less

Our cabin was spacious enough to walk around in. There was no couch but only a chair which actually was nice since we could walk around the bed without walking into anything. There was plenty of room for all of our belongings for the two of us plus extra space. There were 4 drawers at the vanity area. 4 or 5 shelves where the safe is, then 2 other closets spaces to hang your clothes. Our room steward and his assistant kept our cabin very clean and tidy. We enjoyed talking to them in the hallway. Our cabin was M94. The window was large and I am still trying to figure out how the red piece of candy is on the outside of the window....lol. Read Less

Small but functional. Plenty of closet space. It's all you really need for as much time as you're going to spend there.
