V17 is listed as a JS, however it is the same size as balcony rooms on Carnival's larger ships. It will get you priority and suite privileges. Our room steward, Mr. G., was excellent, always saw him in the hall making sure all was OK. The only problem with the room, and this is physical plant problem is the a/c had a hard time keeping up with the warm/hot outside temps. Other than that it was a great location for us. BTW, if you are a smoker, the smoking section is deck 11 forward starboard. It is covered and just steps away from the V-Suites. No fear smoke does not enter the cabin area. Read Less

Our cabin was small but comfortable. Our balcony was really small! But even though it was small, we sat on it every morning for coffee (which room service brought us) and every evening we sat on it and watched the stars. Our cabin steward, Mr. G was awesome! Nothing was ever left undone. He anticipated our needs. From leaving us cookies, to towel animals to ice in our bucket. Read Less

We upgraded from a ocean view room (deck 5) to a junior suite (deck 11) mainly because our 21 year old daughter was sharing a room with us so having the extra space was needed. Our room steward was Ramil who was awesome. Always had a smile, knew our names immediately. Wished our daughter a happy birthday (reason for cruise) and happy anniversary to us and our room was always cleaned. Room was in good location. One deck down to the Lido deck. The only negative thing about the room was it was just above a walkway, so privacy was not the best. The size of the balcony was smaller than most, so didn't spend as much time out there. Read Less
