Decent cruise, just needs to be kicked up a notch!
"My wife and I aren't "frequent" cruisers per se, but we have been on four now, so we have some frame-of-reference. Are we 'button-wearing, battle-hardened Platinum members"? No, but we've been around the block..."Read More

We chose this cruise for the ports and mid winter break. The disembarkation at the ports was excellent. That could not be said for the end of the cruise at Port Canaveral. Apparently there were issues with the gangplank having to be reset. After cruising on the Spirit, the Sunshine and the Paradise I would say this one fell short in both the food choice & preparation in the lido buffet, ...

Amazing first cruise! Eastern Caribbean on The Breeze!

This was our first cruise and one of our last family vacations before our oldest goes to college. We chose the week of President's day because NY has the week off for winter break. The itinerary was also a deciding factor for the cruise. It was the Eastern Caribbean with port stops in Amber Cove, St Thomas, San Juan-PR, and Grand Turk. Weather was warm and sunny. There was always high ...

We were just on Carnival Elation for a 5 night cruise. Overall the cruise was good, as it had some things we really liked and some things that were kind of lacking. We did not have any problem with our cabin and our room attendant was attentive and got anything we wanted, i.e. extra pillows , two buckets of ice, and a chair so I could sit up if needed to with my bad back. On the positive note, ...

My husband and I sailed on the Carnival Breeze for 7 days in February 2020. We had warm and sunny weather, but the winds were high resulting in the ship being very rocky the majority of the trip. I'm talking like losing your footing in hallways and the being physically rocked to sleep in your bed. We had to take nausea medication daily. We talked to people who have been on 20+ cruises and ...

My wife and I went on this cruise for our 25th Anniversary. The itinerary was Grand Turk, Princess Cays and Nassau. We embarked on the ship quickly and our room was ready as soon as we boarded the ship, Our luggage was waiting for us when we boarded. The excursions were all great. We ate in the dining room most of the time we were on board the ship, but we did eat at the Burger bar and buffet a ...

It was my 50th Birthday cruise with my husband. The food was plentiful and very good. We did one specialty restaurant, the steakhouse, we got the surf and turf. It was good but not filling for my husband so we ended up at the buffet afterward. We ate in the dining room twice, nothing special, the dance with the servers was fun. The menu in the dining room was blah! however, it had enough variety ...

I traveled with my family of 6 and two other families for a total of 7 adults and 10 kids ages 3-13. We found the embarkation process quick and easy. Our rooms were comfortable (our family had adjoining rooms) with plenty of storage space - be sure to check under the sofa for two big drawers. Our room steward - Ma'Mun - was friendly and attentive. I was surprised to discover that he knew our ...

Ship needs a makeover, but this cruise was all about the itinerary!

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the value. The Magic is showing it's age in the form of rust and lots of it. As we pulled up to the ship the first thing we noticed was the rust stains on it which diminished our first impression. Every ship has rust, it's part of spending your days being pummeled by salt water, but Magic has more than most. In fact as I was climbing the stairs to the ...

I sailed with my hubby, son and a friend. Hubby and I were in balcony cabin 8254. The bathroom was roomy and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the balcony, although not super large, was roomy enough for the two of us to enjoy our morning coffee and evening wine. The very best thing about the cruise was the food, we didn't have a bad meal the entire eight days. We dined at the Prime ...

I will start off by saying this was our first cruise. My wife, myself, and 4 children (21yr old, 15yr old, 14yr old, 6yr old). The ship is beautiful and truly amazing. The crew and staff were above even that. The entire crew & staff that we encountered really went above and beyond. From the cruise director (Simon), to our dinning server (Kevin who = GOAT), to the room steward (Nurhamid =my 6 ...
