the boat was 3 hours late. We got on the boat around 12 pm when we were supposed to be on at 8-9am. We stayed at the port until 6pm with nothing to do you couldn’t smoke or gamble while the ship was docked. They said we were delayed because of a medical issue with a guest. They said we had to turn around.we never left the dock! Oh and we couldn’t eat and the pool and two front jacuzzis were not ...

Horrible service and food

We have sailed with Carnival before but this time was just horrible. We always eat at the sit down restaurant because buffet food is not always the best and we actually got up and left twice. Once the food was horrible and once we never got our food. The lobster was like mush, it would literally squish thru your fork. The veal parm was so hard it was inedible. We were at the roulette table for ...

This ship needs major help! Waited in line 30 minutes in the red frog bar to buy a beer for happy hour to be told they were out! We opted for a SPA balcony, very hot, absolutely miserable. Call 3 times and still sweating! The ship seems to be grossly understaffed for the number of passengers. Even as a platinum member, service is terrible by customer service. Dining room staff is good ...

Worst Cruise Ever!!

My two best friends and I planned a Birthday trip for this cruise back in August. All of our birthdays are in January and the destinations (Dominican Republic & Turks and Caicos) seemed so perfect. Everything was going smoothly up until the very first night. We experienced extreme rockiness aboard the ship. The ship was making very unusual sounds that had many of us scared. This was my 3rd cruise ...

A 5 day cruise that went nowhere. Many execuses why we didn't get to any of our ports. Recommend not to go on this ship. Needs to be sunk. No compensation from carnival on missing our ports of calls. Stabilizer not working, only 1 engine was running, shook all the time. Many sick people on cruise. State rooms were nice. Our frig didnt work so no cold water. Wait staff was the only thing ...

What a joke for a cruise. So disappointing. Rooms were clean and servers in dining room were excellent but: Two days on the water and the pool was closed all day for maintenance. Obviously the stabilizers weren’t working as the ship was moving from side to side and people were sea sick. Others complained of this in 2019. I ended up falling and got a huge bruise out of it. Went to see the ...

We just got off of this ship--cruising Jan 11-16. I do not recommend this ship or carnival at all after this experience. We had 18 people on this ship, and this was the first cruise for many of us. Sometime during Sunday night, the ship had "mechanical issues" which maxed out our speed at around 8 knots or less. When we woke up on Monday morning (Amber Cove day), we checked our location on the map ...

Another Carnival Elation cruise with mechanical issues.

Booked the cruise for 1-11 to 1-16-2020. So here's the bad: This was (by plan)a cruise to Amber Cove D.R. and Grand Turks. The Elation had "mechanical issues" that limited the speed to about 10 knots. This was too slow to to reach Amber Cove so this port was cancelled. The next day we were to go to Grand Turks. After a couple of attempts they announced the winds were too high to safely dock. In ...

Ruined vacation

Waaaaay too many people!!! This ship is very large and designed to have a huge guest list. The only problem is that unless you can wake up at 6am to put a towel on a sun chair you won't get one. There is limited space to sit in the sun. Next if you have allergies you can tell the workers but the kitchen staff are not aware enough that they need to change utinciles and clean the cooking area to not ...
