Overall a great cruise!...some people just can't be pleased....
"So the main takeaway from my review is simply this: Vacations are what you make it. I read a lot of reviews about the Sensation before going on this cruise and I was skeptical. But I have now realized that some..."Read More

My wife and I are well traveled, even though this is only our second cruise. We know a good trip when we see one. We booked a cruise on the Carnival Magic, part of a group of twenty-five, including friends and relatives. It was a romantic getaway, considering we were celebrating our recent wedding anniversary. We came the night before, on January 3rd, and stayed at the Hyatt, in Ft. Lauderdale, ...

We chose this ship specifically because it went to Half Moon Cay, had the ''Movies under the Stars'' and had Guys Burgers. We booked through my Carnival Rep who is awesome! This was my 13th cruise and my husbands first. We are low key people who don't drink and party much so didn't go there for that. We opted for Faster to the Fun and enjoyed all the perks including direct access to our room. ...

Husband , myself and another couple ( lifelong friends) flew to FLL 2 days prior to embarkation. We stayed in a Air B and B - two bedroom apartment about 10 minutes from the downtown Las Olas Blvd. area. In the past we have always stayed at FL Beach, so I was a bit skeptical about this. No need to worry- the place was wonderful! Clean and tidy in a quiet residential area . We were a ten minute ...

This cruise was a big one for us. It was a celebration of two years of working hard to become debt free. That said, it was also the most expensive cruise we have ever taken. Let's start with the ship overall-- Breeze was our first Dream class cruise and we have a new favorite class of ship. This ship has most of the amenities of a Vista class ship and the un-crowded-ness (new word) of a ...

As a group of 12 family and friends who have been talking about cruising together for years, we finally got to do it last week on the Carnival Magic. All I can say that as a veteran of 23 cruises on all lines, except Disney, this had to be the best of the best!! Simon London is the cruise director..fun, visible, friendly, crazy without being over the top, inclusive, talented..warm...he made the ...

I often wonder if cruise lines read these reviews. We have sailed Carnival numerous times.and now at Platinum level. through the years we have had our ups and downs but with this cruise we found everything was terrific. From getting on the the last final day getting off was a surprise and pleasure. The ship is nice and easy to find your way around. There are lots of hot tubs and places to ...

first of all lets get a couple of things set right.... If you are worried about how long it take to get on a ship maybe you shouldnt get on the ship cause you wont have a good time. The embarkation process was seemless, as in, we got to the port dropped off luggage and went through customs got on the ship. putting one foot in front of the other helped. We went down to Guy's Pig and Anchor which ...

I chose this particular cruise for the stops in Grand Turk and Amber Cove, and was not disappointed! Embarkation was smooth, fast, and well organized. Because our transportation got us to the port earlier that the time I signed up to board, I was afraid I would have to wait until my designated time but we got right on the boat with no issues or delays. We had Faster to the Fun, which is ...

I chose this cruise to take with my family of five (two adults, three kids under the age of 12) because it was an excellent value and we could have connecting ocean view rooms. This was my 20th cruise and 7th with Carnival. Embarkation- I parked in the port lot directly across the street from the terminal after dropping off my family and luggage. It could not have been closer, though at $22 ...

This is a ship that isn’t a big topic on the boards (unless there was something to complain about it seemed) so I am happy to add some information to future cruisers considering the Elation or some info for those of you already booked! To give some context for my review – on this cruise it was myself and husband (both 45) and our 16 yo daughter. This was our 6th Carnival and 7th cruise. We ...
