Carnival Magic to Key West and Bahamas
"This was our 3rd cruise (2 with Carnival and one with another cruise line) and it was the poorest of the 3. Some of it was/is not Carnival's fault. Some of it was. The Good: +Service, as usual, was very..."Read More

We are a family of four from Montreal, Canada, who cruise extensively. We have 9 previous cruises with Carnival, 22 overall. This trip was supposed to be husband, wife, and son only, but my daughter’s school trip to Europe was cancelled at the very last minute due to “the virus that shall not be named”, so we had to scramble to book her to travel with us. We got absolutely killed on airfare, but ...

This was my second time on the Elation, first was pre-2017 upgrades. Pros: Great crew, lots of potential for entertainment. Our stateroom (on G deck) was great. Embarkation at Port Canaveral is the smoothest I've been through. Some of the restaurants were good. Guys burgers is you get a burger on a bun and then build it yourself. Really nothing special, but still decent. The Taco ...

Let me first start off by saying we departed the port 3hrs late!!! I already had reservations when arriving at the port because the boat was smaller and looked older. The boat’s stops were Amber Cove and Grand Turk. As we were attempting to leave the port someone had a medical emergency (I had no problem with that but will explain my frustration). We set sail on Sat and were at sea on Sun. ...

This was our 8th Carnival Cruise and will most likely be our last With them. We chose this one because it was the common date that all of our family had available to book. There were 14 of us total including my 8 month old grandson. We have always had a good experience with Carnival and did not have much to ever complain about, but in my opinion, this cruise allowed Carnival to show their true ...

Mid winter 50 TH birthday cruise on the Carnival Elation, Some good, some bad and some real ugly. For the record this was my families 8 TH Carnival Cruise since 2013 and our 12 TH cruise overall. This ship is in desperate need of the dry dock scheduled for next month. I was surprised on how much rust was on the exterior of this ship but not all was bad. We had two rooms E-52 & E-56 and also we ...

First and foremost let me say that Carnival has a automatic 18% tipping system built in that you can dispute at guest services but is very hard to do. Here is the issue I have with it. I may be traditional but in my book tips are earned for starters and they belong to the employee who earned them. The next problem I have with the Carnival tip program is that a large part of it goes into a fund to ...

This was a 6 night cruise which sailed from Ft. Lauderdale to half moon cay, Grand Turk and Amber Cove. This was our first carnival cruise only sailing with Norwegian previously. To start the first views of the ship from the outside compared to the others at the port was somewhat disappointing. It was absolutely the worst appearing cruise ship out of the other 4. Large amounts of rust was noted ...

Embarkation was very smooth and fast. We Ubered over from the airport. I found this faster and also cheaper overall. I would recommend this to anyone. We had a suite which afforded us some extra benefits. I have to say that once on the ship it was not set up for everyone to sit around waiting for their cabin. I would recommend that the dining rooms be opened up for the embarkation if for ...

We are a Midwestern family of four with two young kids (8yo & 6yo) now two days removed from our ship with everything still fresh in mind. Make no mistake – our vacation was so much fun. However, in hindsight, I wish I knew a few things beforehand that made our vacation simply meh rather than amazing for these sailors. Travel: -Fort Lauderdale Airport is nice enough, but the pickup area for ...

This was a group cruise in Jan 2020 and was the eastern Caribbean. The ports visited were Saint Maarten, Saint Lucia, San Juan. We missed Grand Turk as the wind was too high to safely enter port. The food highlight was the visit to the steakhouse (extra $$) but it was worth it. We visited the 2nd nite and was able to take advantage of promotion for free bottle of wine. We also brought wine ...
