Carnival Family Cruises Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

We have traveled out of norfolk, va many times on carnival ships, we are platinum cruisers and have had much fun. Another couple came up from charlotte to go with us in a different cabin. This is their 4th time with us. The time for boarding was great however were were told to be on board by 3pm to leave at 4,but it was almost 5:30 pm when we left. People dont pay attention, they should be left ...

Sailed from Hometown for the First time, I must say it was great and also very convenient . Downtown Norfolk, just 20 minuted from home, The Sunshine was a nice Ship..... I sailed in an Ocean Suite. in the AFT of the ship.. The balcony was a little small, overall the room was nice. Two wrap sofas, one was a sleeper, Seperate bedroom that led out onto the balcony, bathroom had a tub with ...

Cuba on Cruise Lite

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Carnival Paradise

My wife and I picked this carnival cruise because it was one of the few that spent overnight in Havana. Overall we give the cruise three stars but I must say that Havana is a prime destination. Here’s why. Initial boarding at the Tampa cruise terminal was no problem. Because of a back up in Tampa Bay the cruise left two hours late. Apparently this boat has some mechanical problems and ...

Some highs and lows

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Sensation

Went with friends who had already book with Carnival. I've never been on a cruise so was curious about the experience. Pluses: Great service and lots to do depending on your inclinations Food is good and again, great service. Sailing the ocean is a wonder Minus: The initial cost of the tour is just the tip of the financial ice burg you'll be running into. Got tired of being hit up ...

Loved our 8 day cruise from Sydney to South Pacific

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Legend

Traveled with my mother as a special treat for us both, hoping for relaxation and pampering. We got that and more on the Carnival Legend out of Sydney for 8 nights, stopping at Noumea, Mare and Isle of Pines. Both first time cruisers, and will certainly go again. Neither of us have a single complaint only praise and huge smiles. The embarkation and disembarkation was handled so smoothly with no ...

Ok Cruise ship

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Spirit

I went on this ship three years ago and in my opinion it has gone down hill a bit. The food is not of very good standard on the buffet and the restaurant has the same food as the buffet with only one soup offered each day. The only good thing was the free pizzas which are the same. They do not force people to wash hands before going to the buffet as other ships do which is a huge health ...

Underwhelmed

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Spirit

My first Carnival experience, and whilst I had a nice cruise with friends, the whole experience left me a little underwhelmed. The ship is getting a little tired around the edges and me thinks it's time for a makeover! The dining room was disorganised and we were nearly last out of there every night as we didn't get our main course usually until 9.15pm. This became annoying as we wanted to ...

An average cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Spirit

Went on this cruise after being recomended by a friend. Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth and ran well. Cabin staff were excellent and nothing was too much bother for them. The ship for it's size had a poor selection of shops, dinning areas were adequate, with 3 different dinning areas, but food was no better than average. Entertainment and activities, were focused on kids, ...

Worst cruise vacation ever out of 5 voyages

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Elation

User Avatar

2-5 Cruises • Age 70s

We chose The elation due to the itinerary and dates. The staff was inattentive and rude. The food at the buffets was cold and nearly inedible. Bathrooms were unusable on the Lido deck. Panels were falling off the walls in restrooms on deck 9 in the Men's room. Smoking area in Drama Lounge was limited to only 6 seats, and you were exposed to nonstop trivia game noise that was of no interest to ...

Elation, Post Dry Dock Cruise #3

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Elation

I just finished a cruise 10-21 on Elation. Overall, a great cruise for us. We had an OV on deck 4. We did experience very low water pressure the first night in our sink (shower was fine). We asked our stateroom attendant about it the next afternoon, and later the night it was fixed. Our a/c did fine, but we also take a small box type fan with us for circulation. We also noticed some of the ...
