Perfect for first timers
"This was perfect for our two first time cruisers. Not too big, not too long and ports that have lots to choose from. Same great Carnival food, service and dance parties as the big ships. Benefits of a smaller ship..."Read More

A 5 day cruise that went nowhere. Many execuses why we didn't get to any of our ports. Recommend not to go on this ship. Needs to be sunk. No compensation from carnival on missing our ports of calls. Stabilizer not working, only 1 engine was running, shook all the time. Many sick people on cruise. State rooms were nice. Our frig didnt work so no cold water. Wait staff was the only thing ...

Worse cruise ever!

Economical and ports of call. The ship had engine problems so we never made it to the Dominican Republic. Got a lousy $50 on board credit. The next day the water and winds were too rough to dock at Grand Turk. The ship vibrated on and off the entire time. The stabilizers evidently were not functioning well because we rocked severely the entire trip. Several staff were rude. The ship’s condition was ...

My two best friends and I planned a Birthday trip for this cruise back in August. All of our birthdays are in January and the destinations (Dominican Republic & Turks and Caicos) seemed so perfect. Everything was going smoothly up until the very first night. We experienced extreme rockiness aboard the ship. The ship was making very unusual sounds that had many of us scared. This was my 3rd cruise ...

We just got off of this ship--cruising Jan 11-16. I do not recommend this ship or carnival at all after this experience. We had 18 people on this ship, and this was the first cruise for many of us. Sometime during Sunday night, the ship had "mechanical issues" which maxed out our speed at around 8 knots or less. When we woke up on Monday morning (Amber Cove day), we checked our location on the map ...

I chose this cruise as a Christmas Birthday treat for my Mom. I normally cruise with NCL or RC. We were more Interested in the ports of call more so the ship at the time of booking. If it weren't for the awesome time we had on the excursions, this trip would have been a bust. Embarkation was easy. We had a 12:30 schedule and walked straight through. We are at Tiffany's, and our luggage ...

We chose this cruise for a family event. It was terrible. They need to take time and just repair this old ship. Give it a break, it seems like money is outweighing safety!! There seems to be little empathy for them delaying you, this boat is super rocky, no peace and quite. You can't get good rest because the ship is so rocky. You pay for a 5 day cruise to be rocked for 3!!! The ocean view cabin ...

My Husband and I went on this cruise to go to Grand Turks and Amber Cove DR. From jump bad experience cause in the flyers they put out they said laundry is across from room U154. Well for 2 and a half days people was knocking on our door asking for Laundry. Dilma at guest services did all she could but was only able to give us Chocolate Strawberries and a bottle of Champagne. We wanted to move ...

Old Ship Meets Broken Motor?

THE BOAT: I chose this cruise to travel to the Dominican Rep and Grand Turk. Unfortunately, the motor broke on day 2... we could only make it to Grand Turk and got rerouted to Nasseau. The bummer is that a cruise to Nasseau would've been way cheaper, if we had wanted to go there. All they compensated us with was a $50 cruise credit, which doesn't cover the price difference between a Nasseau cruise ...

I will start by saying we have cruised 5 different cruise lines, this was our first Carnival cruise. Yes we have heard a lot of negatives so we were prepared for the worst! However I must say the Elation is in very nice condition, refurbished and quite nicely done. The cabins are plain, yet served there purpose. Staff was nice, however the ship is understaffed and service suffered. Food was much ...

What a complete joke of a cruise. The ship is completely outdated, the food is subpar and not being able to actually go to your destination makes it a very frustrating experience. There was a billow of black smoke pouring out of one side of the stacks as we were about to depart. I knew something was wrong right away. Then the proceeded to take us into 10-15ft swell while telling us that we're not ...
