This was our third cruise with Carnival and by far the most disappointing. I do not say not to cruise Carnival but I wouldn't cruise this ship again. For those who have cruised before normally the ship is constantly being cleaned either by the hand rails being wiped down, elevator buttons being cleaned or the floors being vacuumed. I rarely seen this happening durning the time we were on the ship. ...
After cruising on the Valor for two years we had something to compare with the Dream. We found the Dream's entertainment, employee attitude, food, food service and ship management inferior to the Valor. We were disappointed with the overall experience.

Embarkation was a breeze and actually quite exciting. The cruise line personnel were extremely friendly, organized and informational. This was our 2nd time on the Dream, with the first being last year. They changed the menu this year and for us it wasn't for the better. you have the standard pizza & ice cream that you can't go wrong and the Salad buffet gave plenty of choices but the dining room was just average this time around.
The Cruise Director Brandon was pretty good, the comedy was above average, but the shows ...
Our cabin, 6444, was directly above the Calinte Night Club. The pounding sound from the subwoofer started every night at 10:30 and would continue non-stop until 2 or 3 a.m. the following morning.
Don't ask me why they don't have the night club on an upper deck!
The food and food selection in the buffet was very poor and the manner/methods used to display it is even worse. For instance, ...
We sailed on the first half of the Journey's cruise - embarked in New Orleans, disembarked and then flew home from San Juan. Once again, Carnival delivered its standard “value for money” cruise. The Dream is a nicely maintained vessel. It is not my favorite Carnival ship however. Although a sister ship to the Breeze, it does not have a Guy's Burger Joint nor a Red Frog Pub. It seemed difficult to find a quiet place to have a beer and read a book.
