First cruise experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

My steward was amazing, but I will never cruise again. I feel like we spent our entire vacation waiting in lines. Whether it be waiting for a drink, waiting for food, waiting to get off the ship, waiting for an elevator, waiting in line for our excursion, or waiting in a line to get back to the ship/ on the ship after an extremely short excursion… I feel that my money would have been better spent ...

Carnival is obviously struggling to pay off its debt from the pandemic. I have never been on a cruise where there was so much disorganization, poor customer service, weary employees, ineffective systems, and general apathy. The Carnival Hub app is not very good. It does not show OBC at the onset of a cruise. It does not automatically transfer casino credits to your account. It does not ...

We won this cruise. It left from Galveston. The boarding process as expected but with large fans providing air flow at the port. Once on ship we had to report to our muster areas which is all well and good but none of the crew knew how to direct you to your your specific area. There was little to no air conditioning and we arrived hot and sweaty. The cabins were very noisy to the point that you ...

Lets start with this dang coronavirus...You state you are taking extra precautions including medical evaulations before boarding. OH so filling out a sheet of paper is a medical evaultion! What are you people smoking! Here fill this out have you been to Asia? Are you sick? Have you been around someone who is sick? Now sign your name and get on the boat. You have got to be KIDDING ME! Room ...

Loud music everywhere even during dinner in the buffet. It wasn’t a quiet atmosphere for 2 people on their honeymoon. Food was horrible the only place that had good food was the burger joint. Fruit looked amazing but too hard wasn’t dress, Shows were repetitive and when you arrived at a show more than 40 minutes before it started they kicked you out and you had to stand outside the door for 40 ...

Let me start by saying I have spent the last 20 years sticking up for Carnival. I would tell people I was going on a carnival Cruise for vacation and they would try to take a collection so I could buy up to RCCL. I figured it was fun and had great service, so I could live with the food being mediocre and the bed being basic......and then I had a much different experience. 18 friends on a ...

Mediocre Cruise

We have cruises on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean several times and thought we would try Carnival this trip. What a mistake, the food was terrible. Very poor quality and very few selections. The Guys Burgers was the best place to eat on the ship. The Blue Iguana was second but neither serve dinner so your stuck with the Lido Buffet or the Dining room which serve basically the same quality food. ...

We have traveled with Carnival several times, but this was probably the worst trip. Everything from overcooked food to fights in our hallway by guest. Our states attendant was seen twice the entire trip. She didn't even clean our room during our day in port. We asked for extra towels and pillows, which we never received. We also had to call the day of debarkment for an information sheet. When ...

We chose the Dream because we enjoyed sailing on her out of New Orleans and got a casino offer at a pretty good rate out of Galveston which is where we live. Embarkation was simple and quick. It was really nice that the muster was indoors since it was mid August. Our stateroom was on Lido forward. This meant a lot of walking (I had a knee injury and had to use a cane), but we chose this ...

Where do I start? The food was AWFUL. We paid extra for the steakhouse the last 2 nights just to get a tasty meal. The food was bland and tasteless. The food service was great, but the food was terrible. The pools are completely crowded and the buffets have monster lines and are completely full. 4500 people is too many people for that amount of square footage. The only time I felt comfortable was ...
