Hello everyone. This is going to be my first attempt at a cruise review for our recent Carnival Dream that left on 12/14/2013. I’m going to make some comparisons to our other cruises in here as well as a comparison to RCI vs. Carnival in a few spots, and try to keep from jumping around or repeating myself to much. This trip included my wife and I, as well as my mother and one of her friends. So ...
Our entire family ( 23 of us-age 1-78) had been looking forward to what would be our last trip together what with health issues, babies and college in all of our futures. My parents gave all of their children and grandchildren an all expense paid trip on the Carnival Dream. We had all had positive experiences on previous cruises including the Carnival Dream and my mom was about to embark on her ...
We took the dream for New Years my husband and my two sons 14 and 19 . The 14 said he had a nice time but wished the basketball court would have stayed open longer , it closed at 5pm. The 19 year old said" he had a ball, He had no complaints.
my husband and I enjoyed ourself we wished the dream had guy burgers like the breeze , and better dining service. The food was good some nights, excellent ...
My wife and I just finished our 3rd cruise with Carnival and we were not dissappointed! Of course there were things that could have been better on the Dream, of course some of the food could have been better, as well as the shows and the cabins and the staff....you get the idea. I have to vent about some of the reviews that I take the time to read about this particular cruise and wonder if these ...
First off, I want to just say that YOUR cruise is what YOU make it. We are not hard to please, but somethings get to even the most laid back cruisers.
Embark- Fairly easy, a small back up getting into the building but overall went pretty quickly.
Room- We booked a 9C-Premium Vista Balcony and it was EXCELLENT! Seemed roomier than most regular balcony rooms, and the balcony was spacious! We had ...
Port Canaveral is a joke... lines, lines & more lines, slow, slow, slow, no shelter from the elements. That should have given us a clue what the rest of the trip would be like.
Carnival Dream (supposedly the newest ship in Carnivals fleet) leaves MUCH to be desired.
Instantly on our 9th deck balcony stateroom the smell of sewer,... even in the hall.
Told the steward on the floor. Nothing ...
We just returned from our cruise on the Carnival Dream. To sum it up in one word - TERRIBLE!
1) Food - The portions were very small (thankfully we were able to get seconds) and none of the meals were anywhere near memorable. The dishes were often cold. We were in the Crimson Dining Room at table 346; the wait staff was wonderful. Originally we had signed-up for Your Time Dining but, on the first ...
We're a couple of senior citizens that love to cruise. This was our 8th cruise and our 3rd time on the Carnival Dream in 3 years. She looks worn and in need of a makeover. This 2008 beauty has lost her sparkle. The plastic covered furniture in the main lobby on deck 3 is embarrassing and uncomfortable. Carnival says that they "refurbish” each ship every 3 years, but Dream is way overdo.
Our ...
This was our second time on the Carnival Dream, the first time we were disappointed, food was not good. This time all was great. Seemed longer to board but all went smoothly, food much better than before even the buffet. My only dislike was the coffee, it was way too strong and bitter even when watered down so I just drank hot tea instead.
We had a nice room on level 2 with a balcony, very ...
This was our second sailing on the Dream. While the ship layout is not the best, the crew was the friendliest and most accommodating we have had in a long time. The ship itself has limited deck space to enjoy laying in the sun. There are also limits on the type of food, although what they had was very good.
This cruise took us to Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Nassau is not one of our ...
