I chose this cruise based on its ratings for best first family cruise. We booked a midship balcony room. Had late arrival time so parking lot was full and we had to park in overflow lot C. It took a long time to get there due to traffic and we received little direction on how to get there. Our room was ready when we finally arrived on the ship and luggage arrived quickly. Room was not as clean as ...
So I chose this date for our Carnival Dream Cruise because my husband wanted to go to the Eastern Caribbean and we had never been to Key West Florida before. The weather beganvery cold from our port in New Orleans- we definitely had to wear our jackets for the first Port of call which was Key West. We walked for most of Key West seeing a lot of the sites, saw the southernmost point of the U.S. We ...
We (mid 60s) decided to take our daughter(30) and son-in-law (40) on a cruise. We have been on several cruises, first time for them. The main reason we picked the Dream out of New Orleans was because we wanted a long day in Key West (8-5). Our son-in-law is an avid fisherman and we wanted to fish in Key west. We flew down on Saturday January 27th. We took a cab from the Airport to Maison Dupuy ...
We chose this cruise because of the ports it was to visit. we arrived about noon, parked off-site and had no wait to embark. Debarkation was just as smooth. Great job there the ship was very clean and updated. We were in an ocean suite on the 7th floor. nice cabin, but it overlooked an outside hot tub. If you want lots of quiet time on your balcony, choose another cabin. Late dining was not very ...
Let's start by saying ,we came a day earlier than our scheduled cruise. We stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel in New Orleans . This hotel is not far from the cruise parking garage, Fulton Parking. They have a shuttle to the port . Our ship is the Carnival Dream.
Once we get to the port, now it's embarkation time. Standing in line ,not knowing if you are in the right line. No signs ,then finally ...
We've cruised on the dream before, just not in a cabin on the front of the ship. Next time I'll be in the middle or aft. The overall cruise was good, but Carnival was a little off this time. This was probably due to the fact that the cruise prior to our cruise was a specialty cruise. Our departure time was 2 hours later than normal. It took longer to get our luggage, around 8 at night, and our fun ...
Liked the deportation city of New Orleans, 3 hours from our home, with family where we could spend the night before, and no need for a flight. However, very few people on the trip were from Louisiana. The ship was huge, with over 3000 passengers. Surprisingly, even though the ship was fully booked, I never noticed the mobs of people I expected to see. The weather was cooler than expected, so the ...
We decided to sail on the Dream out of NO because it is within driving distance from our home. We were looking forward to going to the Bahamas and Key West since we had never been and also anticipating spending a day in New orleans before we set sail.
The weather did not cooperate with us and we were diverted to Costa Maya, Cozumel and Mahogany Bay. That was perfectly fine with us...we are on ...
We chose this cruise because New Orleans is convenient from our home, Memphis, TN. It was about a five hour drive down, and we love New Orleans in general. I went on this cruise with my family(parents, brother, niece, nephew, sons, etc.); there were ten of us. We had four balcony staterooms and they were very comfortable. We enjoy having breakfast or coffee on our balcony and watching the ship ...
