We have cruised several times with Carnival and we have not been disappointed. It is always a fun and pleasant experience doing Carnival Cruises, for me and my husband.
Galveston, Texas is our homeport- with only 5 hours of driving. We decided to do a short (6-day) cruise from Galveston after a somewhat long 2022 Carnival Mediterranean Cruise and several days of pre-post cruise stay in Rome ...
We chose this cruise out of Galveston, within a reasonable drive from Austin. Also, the itinerary to Key West and Bahamas was enticing as we'd never been to those ports. Was a very easy boarding process and we had a great balcony cabin mid ship. Overall the trip was great with wonderful service and the food never disappoints on Carnival. I was concerned with the ship's age, however it was well ...
This is my 6th cruise. I have previously cruised disney, RCL, and carnival. This is my honest opinion and I added in my personal helpful hints. :)
This is my 2nd time on the Dream. It is beautiful ship and so easy to navigate. It was my daughter and I, 18 years old on this Thanksgiving cruise. 8 days with stops in Key West, Freeport, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau.
Service: ***** AMAZING, ...
Overall it was a good cruise. It's been awhile since I have cruised with Carnival and note that there have been some changes primarily with the overall food quality has dropped some, but still some good things available. Guys burgers are not the same as I remembered. The wait staff in dining was doing their best, but really had too many tables to serve. Sea day brunch was slow. I didn't ...
We typically cruise on Princess (10 times) and Royal (4 times) but saw a very cheap last minute cruise so we drove to Galveston to check out Carnival since it has been over 10 years since we tried Carnival. For sure the best thing about this cruise were the food options. I tried all the free options. The Buffet is NOT the main feature on this ship and lunch has more options than dinner.

We decided to take a cruise for our Honeymoon and I am so glad we did. This was my 1st cruise and my husbands 2nd cruise. We had a great time dressing up for formal dining and the 80's rock & glow party. We went to see 3 of the 4 comedians on board and only laughed at one of them. One was so bad that us and several others walked out after about 10 minutes. Most of the food was good, but the buffet ...
I've had so many cruises cancelled since 2020...I really wanted to be on a ship for Halloween so this one got me.
We had a balcony cabin (8447). Note that this one connects to another cabin; I think that's why I could hear my neighbor's television (ugh).
I know this ship did not sail full; too many deck chairs available on sea days and too many empty tables in the dining room. I heard ...
My husband and I sailed for the second time on the Carnival Dream, stateroom category 8B, room 6318. The ship had just returned from an altered itinerary due to fog, and so hadn't been in port for several days. As such, she was in need of a thorough cleaning outside: all outside windows and balconies were filmed over with salt and tough to see through. The inside of the ship was pristine; I seldom ...
First of all the ship may be older but it was definitely clean. There were staff everywhere cleaning the windows, bannisters, up on the Lido, etc. Everyone had a smile,
Our dinner service was amazing. We were scheduled for anytime dining. We sat at table # 100 in the Crimson Restaurant. We were served by Richard, Alberto and Lorenz. Richard was the lead waiter and managed our table service ...
We chose this particular cruise because it left out of a port we could all access fairly easily by car AND seemed like a good fit for the children and teenagers in our group. Also, a couple of the adults in our party very much wanted to do some gambling as well. The "Dream" seemed to have it all. We were not disappointed. The ship was lively and full of fun activities and different dining choices. ...
