Inside stateroom with twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.
Cabin 2211 is located in the front of the ship, so we expected a little more noise and rocking. On the second day we had 5 ft seas, and our cabin turned into a war zone. About every minute or two we heard a loud echoing boom which sounded like a mortar attack. The noise was like loud thunder. This went on for over 36 hours. We ran into a couple more people on our end of the deck, and they had the same problem. It was loud enough to keep us awake. Also, when docking at a port the noise from the winches for the ropes is very loud. No sleeping in as you can't sleep through this. It actually vibrates the room enough to jar you awake, and lasted for probably 20-30 minutes. If you want a quiet room with no rocking, don't stay on deck 1 or 2 in the very front of the ship. I would have rather slept on a lounge chair on deck. the bed was hard as a brick and the room was so hot we could not sleep and were actually sweating when we were laying down to sleep. it ruined the cruise portion of our trip because we were so uncomfortable at night. words cannot describe how horrible it was. this was last years cruise so I don't remember the cabin number but only that it was an inside cabin Read entire member review >>
The cabin is very convenient to the stairs and elevators. My husband and I stayed in this cabin and had plenty of room. It is portside and had two port windows. The cabin door opens to the left from the hall. There are 3 large closets to the left behind the cabin door. 2 hanging closets and 1 shelf closet. There were about 10 hangers in each hanging closet. The bathroom is to the right when you walk in the cabin. There is a large marble sink and vanity and that wall is covered with a mirror and 6 shelves for personal items. The couch is already set up with a bed if 2 perople are sharing a cabin. I slept on the couch bed and it was fairly firm the first night, so for the 2nd night I had the room steward put additional padding on it and it was much more comfortable after that. There are 2 large drawers under the couch/bed. There were plenty of drawers and shelves in the desk vanity with a huge mirror. There is a refrigerator behind one of the cabinet doors. There is a hair dryer in cabin. There is only one U.S. outlet, so we used our power strip. There is one coffee table and one night stand. Each bed/couch had its own night light. There is a nice size flat screen tv in cabin. There are 2 robes available in cabin. There are 2 large hooks on bathroom door and 2 in cabin for hanging items. We could hear the waves crashing against the front of the ship, which at first was very distracting, but we never lost any sleep because of it. The hall was very quiet without much foot traffic. I liked my room, the only place you could halfway relax. Kids always running in the hall, ding dong ditching, yelling, party's on the deck (room is very close). Not much quiet time for vacation away. As a former paramedic, I just wanted to relax and be away from work. I feel more exhausted then before I left. Read entire member review >>
Room 1306 was an inside cabin. Obviously it's small but it was roomy enough to hold all of our stuff. It was a great location. Mid ship not too far from the mid ship elevators which was convenient for getting around. No noise. Read entire member review >>
8402 - 2 ceiling pull down beds and one king. Adequate room for 4. No complaints about size. Quiet. No noticeable noise in halls, above/below. Good location - center floor and slightly closer to the back where food and pools are located. Read entire member review >>
My wife and I's cabin was your "basic" Interior cabin with a king size bed, we liked it a lot and it was not too small. The shower was awesome and always had hot water when needed. Housekeeping service was excellent and fast! The Cabin's Digital TV was big and worked well. The TV also featured the ability to order room service, which my wife and I used quite a lot! I travel solo and love it! I love being close to the Lido Deck. Great access to food and pool area. I selected an interior handicap room. It was THE BEST! Now, when I book in the future, I always look for these rooms. LOVE THE ACCESS! Can't beat it! Read entire member review >>
Bathroom was a little small but adequate everything else was fine for we never spent much time in our room but to sleep. Was always kept clean when we returned to the room after leaving. Read entire member review >>
We were on deck 1 which is the bottom of the ship. As first time cruisers it was fine. Not sure if I would upgrade to a balcony but a window next time would be nice. The cabin was roomy for the two of us. There was plenty of closet and drawer space. Recommend putting the suitcases under the bed. Was always clean. A bit noisy as you are in the bottom of the boat and you hear the engine noises but not too bad. It was more of a low hum until you were in port. The morning we arrived in Costa Maya was very loud as we were docking at 5:00 in the morning. Read entire member review >>
My room was awesome. I had a handicapped room on deck 11. This room was centrally located right in the middle of the ship. I had access to the elevator, the Lido deck, the lobby and the laundry. The room had an large sized bathroom for wheelchair accessibility. The room was great! Read entire member review >>
Our category 1 A room had a different physical shape than the other surrounding cabins. It was spacious and comfortable. We did not encounter any difficulties until the ship encountered high winds/surf. For about two hours one evening we could hear the surf pounding against the front of the ship quite loudly. There was a banging noise the first 2 nights but after that it was quiet. The bathroom was very small and awkward to maneuver in. The bed very small and in a bad location middle of the floor. The bathroom for being a new ship had a crack in the shower stall. Read entire member review >>
