Oceanview stateroom with a private balcony and twin beds that convert to a king. Every Carnival guest is assured of spacious, comfortable accommodations. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films. Our ships all feature staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.
Cabin was perfect. Everything fit with plenty of room. if someone does not have enough room is one of these cabins, they brought too much stuff. I only used the shower once since the spa package allowed me to use the much better facility there. It was fine. The bed was firm but forgiving. The comforter was great. I highly recommend the robes and have the room cleaned twice to ensure turn down and fresh towels. We cruised with adult kids next door so the steward opened the divider for the balconies. The one concern is the single electric outlet and its locations. Take an extension cord and power strip. Read entire member review >>
Liked the size and layout but entire cabin was shabby. Very dirty on check in. Missing TV remote initially. After complaining to steward and supervisor, it was cleaned. But worn and broken items were never fixed. I did not even report as there were too many. Compensation for dirty cabin was two bottles of water. Balcony was fine except the furniture was paint splattered. Over all appearance was one of do the job quickly and get on to the next. Read entire member review >>
Clean, plenty of room, good location, not noisy. Only serviced once per day, but it can be sufficient if you are reasonable about it. Could be a problem if you are travelling with children but I was not (just wife and I). Read entire member review >>
The cabin was spacious, the balcony was amazing. Two of the beds were ok, the the third "bed" was actually a small, hard plastic couch we called the "torture chamber" and took turns enduring it. The storage and closet room is surprisingly ample. The bathroom was plenty big for all three of us and the shower was hot!!! Our steward took excellent care of us. Read entire member review >>
Refrigerator didn't work until two days before cruise end.
TV is the smallest one I've ever seen with terrible picture and no way to adjust.
Very comfortable without exterior noise or nauseating ship movement.
Ample closet space, but no place to put large suitcases.
Bathroom clean, plenty of storage shelves and shower very good. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin had air conditioning problems and was 76 degrees the entire cruise! We had to get a fan to have on at night while we slept. We've been on 15 Carnival cruises and this is the FIRST time we've had an air issues with our cabin :/ Read entire member review >>
The only negative about our trip was our rooms. I knew when I booked it that it could be a problem since it was under the Lido deck, but we wanted two balcony rooms next to each other, and these were the only two rooms left like this. On the plus side, the door on the balcony that separates each room's balcony was able to be opened by our cabin steward, so we could come in and out of each stateroom through the balcony. That made it feel more like a suite with two rooms for our family and gave us an enormous balcony. We LOVED this feature, and not many of the balcony rooms are able to have this door opened. These rooms are under the galley of the Red Frog bar on the Lido deck, but we NEVER heard any bar noise. We never heard noise during the night, but at 5:00 AM each morning, we heard the lounge chairs being moved around on the pool deck while the crew cleaned as well as other noises coming from the bar's galley above. The noise only lasted for an hour, so we were able to go back to sleep. I should note that we are very light sleepers, so if you sleep soundly, you will probably not even hear these noises. Our children in 9305 never heard one single noise in their cabin because they are sound sleepers (typical teenagers). One of the mattresses in 9303 was very hollowed out in the middle. After a terrible first night's sleep, my cabin steward filled the hole with folded duvets and it fixed the problem. She said that this particular floor should be getting new mattresses soon, so this might not be a problem for much longer.
Despite our noisy cabin for one hour each day, we were glad to have it since we could access both cabins from the balcony and have easy access to the lido deck. Read entire member review >>
Cabin over all size was good. The beds were awful. If you split them lying on your back you can't put your hands to the side because they would fall off the bed. Also very hard. And they are basically 2 cots that they put together. Also shower curtain in the bathroom is disgusting. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was average for a balcony cabin. We had issues with yellow discoloration of the hot water which they never fixed. The A/C wasn't working appropriately and they didn't fix it after reporting it 3 times. Read entire member review >>
We were in cabin 8296. It is located about two thirds forward on the Verandah deck port side. The cabin was quiet and large enough for two people. There are complaints on the cruise boards about smokers on the Lanai causing the balcony to smell. I never had an issue with this, and I do not like being around second-hand smoke. Don't select this cabin or any cabin on 9th floor. It may be convenient to the Lido and other upper decks but the other negative factors vastly outweigh the convenience factor.
Noisy since Lido is directly above. They are moving tables, banging carts, etc until 2-3 am then starting again at 7 am.
Smell is awful at times on this area of the deck 9. Smell is not coming from bathrooms. Other people on this same floor made similar comments. I noticed similar smells coming from other upper floors, so there is possibly a basic problem, such as pipes needing cleaning. Read entire member review >>
Awesome location. right around the corner from the stairs/elevator. Up one deck and you are right at the aft pool, deli, tandoor and buffet. Occasional noise from above (we were right below the deli) but not very noticeable. Room steward (Putu) was awesome. Cabin always spotless, fresh towels all the time, and he always asked if there was anything we needed. Best air conditioning on a ship EVER. Read entire member review >>
This was a great location. 2 down from the Lido and 3 up from the Plaza on the Promenade deck. I try to take stairs the whole time so I would stay on deck 8 again. It was very quiet as we did not hear our neighbours at all. Sometimes some hallway noise but that is to be expected. Read entire member review >>
Absolutely and positively a good choice of location Near the elevators but not too close. Quiet area! The closer you get to the pool area the noiseier it will be when out on the balcony. I had changed cabins a couple of times due to that. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was very nice. Our balcony had an unobstructed view of the water. Our remote control for the TV wasn't always cooperative but other than that the room was very nice. The sofa folded out to a bed although we never used it. Also there was a bed that came out from the ceiling- never saw it because it was locked up there and we did not need. So I guess 4 people could share the room but I could not imagine sharing a bathroom with 4 or having enough closet space for 4. Read entire member review >>
Room was nice. We had a connecting stateroom to other family members. Our stateroom steward opened the balcony door between staterooms so we could share our balconies. Bed was comfortable and there was ample space in the room. Read entire member review >>
Our room was on the Lido deck. Perfect location. I was worried about noise at night and during the peak of the day. Not a problem. The Dream is well sound insulated on that floor and the even the midnight deck parties (one or two of them, only ½ hour each) could not be heard from our rooms. Definitely book floor 10 if you can. Room was spacious and very quiet. We were forward on the lido deck so hardly and foot traffic by our door at all. Great views from our balcony. zero noise heard coming from anything going on the Lido deck. Read entire member review >>
Cabin review is in the text above. Carnival allows smoking on verandahs and the people next door smoked heavily and the wind blew the smoke onto our verandah, so we had to curtail our use of the expensive verandah since we are both avid non-smokers. Read entire member review >>
Balcony stateroom on Deck 10 was wonderful. It provided ample space, comfortable bedding, plenty of storage and a wonderful balcony with two chairs and a table. My only complaint is Carnival's policy on cigar smoking on the balconies. It's truly disgusting when you're trying to enjoy the balcony you paid for and you have to retreat to your cabin because your neighbor is puffing on a stinking cigar. Second-hand smoke not only smells horrible, but it is also a health-hazard -- Carnival really needs to change this policy. Read entire member review >>
At 1:00 we were able to go to our rooms. We had a balcony room We were on the starboard side on Vista deck 9, beautiful rooms. My only complaint about the room was on the balcony you could smell of cigarette and cigar smoke (the starboard side is the smoking side on the open decks) and it was noisy from the Lanai hot tub on promenade deck. When you are in the hot tub you can see into the balconies of deck 6, 7 & 8 so much for privacy. Read entire member review >>
This was a roomy, clean, comfortable cabin. However, if you are looking for quiet or you like to sleep in this is not the area of the ship to be in for you. There is a lot of morning noise due to proximity to the crew set-up area/closets just across from the room and the kitchen above. I was aware of the kitchen area above and expected more noise from it than there was (it wasn't bad at all). However, there was a lot of morning noise from the crew area across from us in the mornings -- mostly glasses clinking together. Nothing unbearable for me, but I can see how this would really bother some folks who can't sleep without more quiet. Virtually no engine "hum"/noise in this area of the ship. Nice view from balcony but not especially private as it is located right above an open deck and hottub. There was no noise issue from the deck area, though. Read entire member review >>
Balcony stateroom 9279. Huge. Great location by the elevator. had no problem with noise. Always woke up to the sun. The robes were greatly appreciated. Mini fridge would have been better if it was empty and we could put our stuff in there. Read entire member review >>
We had cabin #9281. It was a good sized cabin. Plenty of room for our needs. The balcony was nice and clean. I wish there was more than one electric plug in the cabin. The location was perfect. We didn't have any problems with noise. Bed was really comfy. No complaints. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was spacious, although the shower area was tiny. Lots of draws and closet space, decent size balcony. It's under the pool deck so you can hear chairs scraping in the morning or evening as they move things around for cleaning. Read entire member review >>
Stateroom 10207 Balcony
Private balcony next to the door for the forward public balcony on deck 10. Many people did not know it was there so it was quite.
Convenient access to Serenity and the Spa / Gym.
The room was quite compared to other reviews that report noise from the casino, club or doors. There was some noise from the balcony door especially on windy nights as the door opening faces forward and catches the wind.
Room size is adequate with ample storage and dresser space. Read entire member review >>
Balcony room had plenty of space. Be careful not to get a room right below the Lido deck. The scraping chairs will drive you crazy. Other than that the cabins are excellent. Plenty of room on the balcony.. Read entire member review >>
We had a quiet location near the front of the ship. The room could sleep 3 easily. Our balcony was nice and there was quite a bit of closet space. The water in the shower was always hot. Carnival provides shampoo, body wash, razor, toothpaste and soap. We had no problems with our room at all. A/C blew cold, bed was very comfortable, flat screen TV had ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TLC and a local Miami Fox station. Pay per view movies were available for $8.99. There is a mini frig with sodas. The room service menu is very limited, especially for breakfast. But since there is always something open 24 hours, like the Pizza Place, you can always get a bite to eat. My husband got the lasagna from the Pasta Bar and loved it. Very generous portion. We never waited in line for more than 10 minutes for anything. Getting on and off the boat was effortless. I don't know if the ship was full. Some may have cancelled due to the hurricane. But don't be afraid of a big boat :-) Read entire member review >>
lot's of storage space

lot's of noise from waves at the bow
balcony flooded more often than not
adjoining cabins with 7209

Balcony Cabin 10216 Port-side - it was perfect. Quiet, beautiful view, centrally located. It was easy to take the stairs to most places and avoid the wait for the elevators. Lots of storage and space enough under the bed to store your empty suitcases. Hair dryer, lots of drawer space and closet space-3 closets. Lots of space on top of the area where the drawers are - like a dresser with a large mirror. There is a full length mirror on back on one of the closet doors. Plenty of room for hanging clothes. Bathroom small but functional. Lots of shelf space on the mirror side (no hanging bags needed here!!) Shampoo and body wash on the shower wall in dispensers. Electric outlet on the mirror side at the very top - it looks like a plastic box - just lift up the lid and you will have one outlet. Plenty of vanity space for your personal items and one area on the vanity has a little railing around it so nothing can roll or slide off the vanity.
The balcony rooms have a sofa and table, night stands with lamps. You can even turn on the room lights from the head of your bed...very convenient at night!! Read entire member review >>
Stateroom 10244 on the Lido Deck - nicely appointed, reasonable storage room. great location, comfortable bed, separate seating area with couch (which could be converted to a single bed) and coffee table - close to everything, but far enough to not get the noises. Great fixtures in the bathroom/shower. Nice balcony. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was great our daughter was next to us and we had maintence remove the
parition between the balconies so we had 1 large balcony and did we have fun. There are 2 nice size closets and another closet with shelfs which was nice and the bathroom was great also much larger than normal, they bathrom also had a little gift basket with a razor and lotion, teeth whiting strips,One bit of advice bring your own hangers there are about 20 hangers, there is only 1 plug in the cabin bring a power strip. Our cabin was 8E category - balcony stateroom. Mid ship starboard. Nice balcony views, worth the extra cost. On the whole, an excellent cabin with comfortable beds, but definitely marred by noises at night from the lido deck dining area, which interferes with sleep. These cabins should be sold at a discounted price to compensate the residents! Read entire member review >>
We have only been on Carnival and one Holland America ship, so not much to compare, but we LOVED our Lido deck balcony. Our friends on this cruise were in the 2 bath outside, as well as cove balconies. There are advantages to all - do your research and decide which room fits your needs best. HORRIBLE ROOM!! Directly under the Lido Deck. Every night the deck is cleaned, the pool chairs are stcked, then unstacked. Then the disco closes and a herd of drunks gathers above your head to eat at the pizza place. Sleep like a log or sleep somewhere else. Same cabin category, one deck lower, would have been perfect! Cabin was very spacious and plenty of closet space. Bathroom was very adequate and shower was nice. Bed was very comfortable. A/C could be a little colder. The aft balcony was a very good size.
Only complaint really was the only stations you could get were Denver news and traffic. There time zone is different so you couldn't see any prime time shows. No local stations at all and no local weather reports which would really help while you are in port. Read entire member review >>
These were the tightest quarters we had. The sofa was not a pullout but just a made up bed the entire time so we could not sit on it. Not that we spent much time in the cabin. Wish we had sliding glass door to balcony versus that heavy door which slammed shut. Read entire member review >>
We were originally supposed to have cabin 6390. But, I was offered a $40 upgrade to Vista deck. So glad we did this!! We were in 9358, directly at mid-ship port side on deck 9. My friends were in 1297, starboard side almost at the same place we were. Up one flight from our cabin and we were at the grill/pizzeria. Wonderful location with kids!! We were also 2 flights up to Camp Carnival. Hardly ever had a problem getting an elevator to go down to dinner. We usually caught the elevator up from Deck 5 in between seating times so no wait. Our room steward, Rai, was phenomenal!! He was so efficient and learned our schedule very quickly. Thought it was cute that he knew my son's name by the second day. He'd say hello to him every day in the hallway. He had a list with all of our names when he introduced himself shortly before sailaway. The kids loved the towel animals! We got a swan Friday during the day. We had rough seas on Thursday and felt hardly any movement. My daughter has had motion sickness in the past and had no trouble at all. Slept through each night even though my DH and I woke up a few times. If you enjoy watching the ship dock or sunrises, pick the port side. We saw two sunsets as well from our balcony. Including one over Miami. Read entire member review >>
Cabins 9350 & 9346, typical cruise cabins, very comfortable bedding, good mid-ship location, VERY NOISY due to 24-hr Pizzeria directly overhead, chairs scraping constantly, avoid at all costs. Read entire member review >>
