Wanted a cruise out of Norfolk. Getting on the ship no problem. We are platum so we have priority boarding. The room was to be ready. NOT. Went for muster drill, they scanned our card and said we were free to go. It was very crowded. However in the buffet area workers would stand in groups of three and played on their phone. They were also flirting with the customers. Paid for internet, it was ...
This was our 8th Carnival cruise since 2006. We haven't cruised with any other line yet, but that will change. Our needs and expectations are simple. We don't over drink or over party. All we want to do is relax, eat nice meals, and visit interesting locations. Without a doubt this was the worst cruise of all time, with exception to our cabin steward. Jaya was wonderful and friendly. But many ...
This was my first cruise. The entire experience from start to finish was completely ridiculous. Embarktation was a three ring circus and very complicated. Muster station was a joke the person presenting English was so bad if a disaster actually did happen nothing she said would have been useful. The majority of the bars service was the slowest I have ever seen in my life time,oh thats when ...
We sailed on the Conquest this week for a 4 night visit to eastern caribbean.
Pros -
Carnival is a fun loving, kid friendly cruiseline. We had kids who enjoyed being at camp ocean. The lobby area had a vintage look but we loved it. The people (attendants, room stewards, dining services and all carnival employees) make carnival a wonderful cruiseline. The restaurants are beautiful (both ...
Me and my family went on this cruise back in July and it was fun. They had dance parties, buffets, and movie nights. The only bad part was that the tv in the room would play the same episodes of the same shows every day but it was fine. The bahamas were great. I went to this rock show and it was loud fun and full of excitment. Our host was amazing he has to be one of my top favorite people in the ...
My wife and I were dumbfounded while on our cruise to the Bahamas. Let me get the excursions out of the way. Freeport (otherwise known as the “Gas Station”), was disappointing. View from the ship once docked has a lot to be desired. The beach excursion was good. As others have posted, it is crowded but that didn’t bother us. Nassau was awesome! We took the Blue Lagoon excursion. You will ...
We selected a Carnival Valor cruise, because the New Orleans port was easy for all of us to get to and a five-night cruise seemed to be the right length for both the first-time cruisers and the "gold status" cruisers. The ship was packed, and you could really notice that on embarkation day and in between the end of early dinner and the beginning of late dinner, as well as at some of the bars in ...
This was second Carnival cruise to the Bahamas, this time my husband and I choose to bring our kids (17,14,11). My oldest daughter (17) loved the O2 club as she is very social. My son (14) enjoyed the video games in Club C but isn't as social and left anytime dancing happened. My 11 year old went to Club Ocean and even though she was with the oldest group got pretty bored. They loved the water ...
Chose this cruise for the itinerary. Hadn't sailed on Carnival for decades but was pleasantly surprised. The ship itself was in drydock for a month prior to sailing and looked great.
There were signs of cutbacks which didn't keep me from enjoying the cruise but were noticeable. Cabin stewards seemed to have more cabins to service but we still had wonderful service from our attendant, Adi. ...
Been on Carnival cruises a few times and this was a first for Conquest. My least favorite of all Carnival ships. Food was just ok from breakfast to buffet .. not a great selection. And hours of operation for selection were poor. After eleven your only choice was pizza!
However, dinner was great and service was great on the ship throughout!
The ship was clean and the fun staff and cruise ...
