Just returned from a 2 Day Cruise to No Where with my DH and my niece. DH and I are seasoned cruisers and have been on Royal and NCL. We are now legal guardians to my 13 year old niece so sharing a vacation and a cabin with a child is new to us so we thought a 2 day cruise would be perfect way to try it out. Love leaving out of Manhattan. Coming from CT its a pleasant drive. Because we left early ...

We just came back from another 2 night cruise to nowhere on the Carnival Glory. Arrived at the port by 10:30am and was on the ship by 11:10am and followed everyone to the buffet area. Unlike the last time we did this the buffet area had plenty of seating and the lunch buffet was very good. We had no complaints. The deli part of it was actually very good. After lunch we took a spa tour and I ...

Embarkation: Couldn't ask for anything better. It is a shame the port in Norfolk is so underutilized, it is a nice place, we got through security and checked in quickly and were on the ship by right before noon after arriving at 10:15am. Dining: For something fast and quick Guys Burgers, Blue Iguana and the pizza place were all great. The Steakhouse is an absolute must if you are a foodie and ...

Our cruise was delayed by Issac and 4 nights turned into 3. The whole delay thing was a mess. We didn't get onto the ship till well after 6pm. They did give free drinks as we got on since we wiated so long. And the staff was waiting for everyone to pile into the dining rooms with all their stuff. Our muster drill didn't start till after 10:30pm. Once the rooms were open we headed to our rooms ...

On the 17th of July 2011 we sailed out of Tampa on Carnival with the 7 day exotic Western Caribbean cruise ahead of us. Having sailed this exact cruise last year we thought it would be even better, as we knew what all was entailed this time. We have 2 girls ages 11 and 15 and they are experienced cruisers. This was the 6th time for them both. The Ship: The Legend is holding up well ...

Embarkation was somewhat slow. After we parked our car and shuttled to the port it took almost two hours from the time we arrived (about 1230) till we boarded. The local roads surrounding the port seem inadequate for the amount of traffic that results from the folks arriving and leaving the ship. Our advise is to try to get there early; otherwise, you will be stuck in a line for over two hours. ...

First let me clairfye that this is my 9th cruise, and after being on may 7 day cruises this one obviously wasn't one of the "best" cruises but it was in fact very fun for the short time we were on the ship. Since we are from virginia, we figured norfolk would be the ideal port to leave from right? WRONG. Norfolk is a very crammed city that just can't handle being home to a ship as huge as ...

We are first time cruisers so we picked the cruise to nowhere as a trial run to see if we would be interested in doing it again. Embarkation: We were told that we could board the ship at around 11am so we wanted to be early so we could get the most out of this experience. We drove to the suggested parking lot and was told that we couldn't park yet because they weren't through unloading the ...

took the two day out of new york. My honey and I wanted time away from the kids, went other fun people and had a blast for two days. The weather was rough, service was poor but my expectations were to have fun, spend time together and we did. The ship overall was clean, the food although not 5 star was good, the buffet was crowded but aren't they all??? The service in the dining room was way ...

This was my 11th cruise on 5 various cruise lines. Have done Carnival twice before. Love the value, the exterior lines of the ships, but not the interiors so much. Have also done 3 CTNs over the years with NCL. Traveling with me were my wife, 21 year old son, 16 year old son, and 28 year old son and daughter in law. It was her introduction to cruising. Four of us had a balcony cabin while my ...
