Sooo I really wanted to go on an RCL cruise, but my mother picked Carnival for our mini Mother/Daughter getaway. Both had an identical itinerary option for a short weekend trip to Nassau but Carnival was a lot cheaper. I really wish we would have shelled out the extra $100 per person for RCL. (Our suite on Carnival was $100 less than a standard balcony would have been on RCL)

I came back to Carnival after almost 10 years. I am a Platinum Guest. The priority boarding was the best part of the cruise. The ship is showing its age. I dislike the way they went with their entertainment. No reggae band. Just a guy playing a steal drum to canned music. They have too many rug rats on board. I really enjoyed everything on my cruise except the excursion to Grand Turk. We took the tour of the island in an open air bus. Had a family reunion. My room attendant Ms Desra was the best . She was very detailed with everything and even help with my baby signing and dancing in the room . So nice . This was our 7th cruise on Carnival but our first in a little over a year. The new embarkation system is amazingly fast. The security person takes a picture of your passport picture and you are headed to the ship. Your boarding pass takes the place of your sign and sail card until your room is ready at 1:30 pm. Card are waiting in you mail holder outside your cabin door.
